I also got into the "barely into gold" range yesterday night (2.9%), on pretty much my last attempt before going to bed.

It took me an hour from the point I got the hang of it, to actually doing it.
Multiple laps binned on the last turn, or the penultimate one (the inside curb is slippery...).
And lots of laps into the low 1.25, just missing that little something.

The challenge was pretty hard to me, but really enjoyed it - great combo.
The Gr2 cars are very nice to drive (used the GT-R '16), and I ended up liking Interlagos quite a bit (didn't really know that track before).

Now just hoping the time hold :)

Currently on an extended trip but I'm looking forward to see where I can land on this one. I like Interlagos but I can't say that I've driven the GR.2 cars there before....I want to try it with the NSX. Has anyone tried it yet with that car? If so, how's the handling?

The NSX is great.. just like the GT-R, I feel the NSX is a little bit "sharper" to drive, but it lacks the "assertiveness" i.e. the "pull" compared to the GT-R.. that are only minimal differences and maybe even just a feeling. I like the Gt-R a little better, or to put it another way, the NSX is a little "too sharp" for me.

With the current physics it doesn't kill you when braking and turning, got to be a bit careful on throttle with the turbo but other than that it was fine for me

I have the same feeling, NSX is a great car, and can be very fast, but i have the feeling it is somehow more difficult to controle on DS4, and for my liking the GTR is just a little bit more stable on the throttle, (as far as you can call it stable  )

And i have to rectify my post about first gear, after alot of laps i feel it is def. better to go to first for rotating the car in the 2 tightest corners, corner 8 in first gear, half corner 9 to second gear, then trying to straighten the wheels asap to power out in second. Corner 10 again rotated in first gear and powered out in first.

My enemy is def corner 8, i have several laps after this time with -300 on the clock after turn 1, but i keep loosing it in corner 8...

I think i secured gold this morning, but i think after alot op practice and a bit of luck to stick it all together a '23 is possible
right now i'm at 1:24.566 but i must a whole lot of apex in this lap! :banghead:, it is a start, now we have to perfect it
( i found out i was a tiny bit more stable with counter steer at weak )

This one is a bit more challenging than the 3 previous time trials. Spent majority of my weekend getting down to a 1:25.557. Hopefully I can get a few more decent laps in to find some more time. Then entry into the Senna Curves are crucial.
Good to see the massive talent here in this thread with all those crazy lap times!

Indeed, the Senna curves a crucial but very difficult for me to hit good, i know i have to cut a fair amount of curb on the left in the beginning, but most of the time my line isn't good when powering out, so there is alot of room for improvement!.
I also see top guys go to first gear on the Senna, but i can not get that to work for me
But keep trying Gogga, you will get it! but this isn't the easiest one!

and i'm still figuring out if 4 is faster in 2 or 3.

Your lap time is excellent, you nail those Senna Curves. I notice you use 4th on the sweeping bend. Definitely going to try that. Will definitely try for the gold, and if all else fails, I'll settle for the silver.
Have a new love for these high downforce Gr 2 cars.

Yeah i did use 4th on the bend here, but mist the apex by a fair amount :banghead:, that needs to be alot closer! but if you nail the line there, 4this quite fast on the power out!
You will get it, just put in the time and you will be allright, 1.25.5 is allready a nice time so i'm positive you will get it :)

I love the GR.2 cars to, somuch downforce on the highspeed corners.... so less downforce on the slows :banghead::lol::lol::lol:

At the time i was kind of happy with my lap, and i'm aware that lots of people would be very happy with this time, but i took a good look at the lap and let's be fair, it is a horendous lap!

Did 150 miles last night and made 0 improvement on my 1:24.3. I've seen a 1:23.9 on my optimal so I am determined to achieve it. I've put on a low 23 ghost and I can match them on the first sector some times. Second sector I think I lose a few tenths. I know that because of the speed the distance between the cars will stretch on the back straight, but I'm convinced a lot of my time loss is exit of the last turn!

Ive been trying with the lexus for an hour or so yesterday, but am way off to where I should be... Its such a handful without TC and dualsense.... Only managed a 1:25.5 so far. Is the NSX much better maybe?
NSX is to sharp for me on DS4 and is a little more tail happy, most stable is the GTR, i'm the fastest with that, but i must say, i haven't spend much time with the NSX, but now i have a 24.566 i have some time and air to check out the NSX cause i think that gold time will stand.

down to the 1:24.6s in the NSX... still havent finished a lap without TCS 1, but will probably try now that i'm in gold. turned on counter steer assistant but its just too much with the TCS on as well.

for anyone having trouble breaking through a time, i recommend using the CLK for a few laps - something about having to think about the different gears can help you see the course differently in the NSX/GTR.

I improved my time with the GTR. :) (Manual, this time).

Best time with the NSX for me was 1.26.950 after 27 laps. The car feels a bit unstable compared to the GT-R (in which I did a 1.26.009 after just 4 laps). Based on my last few laps, 1.25.825 was optimal but that's still quite a ways off the current gold time. So I've got some more practicing to do.

Finally nailed down a good time today. I spent a fair amount of laps out of control and making a mess of things. I just could not get a clean run, failing to get under 1:25 for quite some time. Contrary to my earlier attempts, I was actually getting through the final turn smoothly, but I couldn't put together the first three quarters of the lap. Finally, after 15 laps I topped my previous best, hitting a high 1:24.7. I decided to give it a lap or two more, and am I happy I did. Two laps later it all came together. I was on par with my best time approaching the final corner. Didn't get in too deep while also not being too timid and losing time on the entrance, and got a great run off corner exit without getting the back end sideways for once. I peaked at the bottom of the screen and watched myself steadily pick up time to the tune of over 2 tenths as I reached the line. Final time: 1:24.585. I'll take it. :dopey:

I tried the Mclaren this morning, it did surprise me a little, im just as quick in the first 2 sectors as in the GTR, but then the second last flat out corner....... isnt realy flatout in the F1   but i think with some serious efford, i can get in the 24 mids with it, also tried the old NSX, not impressed , and did about 10 laps in the new NSX, it is growing on me a little, i'm still a bit slower that in the GTR but at the end i don't think that it not much difference laptimewise

Maby i'll try to better my time in the GTR, but getting better with the other cars is quite fun!

I finally managed to try out the TT for this round.

I currently don't own any of the Gr.2 cars, so I had to "rent" a car, which gave me the conundrum of, which one? The obvious first choice was the GT-R, as it's the META and why not start there? So, into the GT-R I hopped, and my lord that first few laps was tragic! I saw my target: 1:24.7ish pass when I hadn't even taken the last bend past the pits, three times! First few laps were all 1:31+ with spins at Mergulho twice, drifty action in the Senna S and Pinheirinho on most laps, and just general poor form all round! Eventually got my lap time down to 1:27.6XX after about a dozen laps, including three abandoned attempts. It just wasn't going to happen. Me and that GT-R just do not get along for some reason!

So, I thought I'd try out the Lexus, as it's always been more reliable in my hands. First lap and the thing felt SO MUCH BETTER! I managed a 1:26.3XX on my first lap! However, each lap from there got progressively worse and I think I was trying to push too hard too often and just ended up overrunning corners or accelerating too hard too early and losing traction too often.

So I bailed out, made myself a hot chocolate. and came back for another attempt. Three laps later I'd dropped my time down to a 1:25:7XX! So the Lexus is 100% my weapon of choice here. And I will 100% be going out and buying one. I had a cool DHL livery for my GT Sport one, so I'll import that and adorn it in bright yellow with red chrome again! I think it'll be a tough challenge to get under 1:25, but I'm keen to give it a go. I've only got until Saturday as I'm on hols from then for a week, so might not see the gold on this one...

If you progress like this i'm positive that you will find another few tenths!.
So keep going, and you will succeed :)
I haven't tried the lexus yet, maby i will toningt!

6 tenths off. The Senna S is killing me. I'm reasonable everywhere else.
In my case i found a few Tenths in Senna by trailbraking in to the first section of the corner (in second), i still have trouble with it on DS4 but if you nail it you can almost ( and i'm sure the top guys do ) exit full throttle in 3.
I still have to lift a fraction
