Well, silver beyond me again. Shaved a couple of tenths off today but only at 1:27.5xx - too slow. I eased the throttle and tried TC 0 and managed to get around without spinning, but I lost a load of time being careful, so back to TC1.

How folk are managing to get around 4 or 5 seconds quicker is completely beyond me. Well done to you all.

Good Day ,
is it possible to gold it with DualSense Gyro steering? I can't find tenths anymore to get better than a lucky? 1:25:109 (consistent 1:25:500's)

I'm afraid the hairpins are limited by the dualsense steering angles, or something is awry with the controller. I feel I've hit a wall (pun ful o penalty), and am itching to just get that wheel finally. but I really like the dualsense, and am otherwise very consistent with it now. I just feel let down that I may have discovered its limitation to be competitive for gold. Though I may realize I need to change my braking strategy as apparently the GR2 cars cook front tires on prolonged braking even if trail. back to the drawing board!

Spent another couple hours on this one and managed to bring my time down to a 1:24:532. I am content with this and will spend the rest of my time doing my usual Sardegna Road Track grinding while I wait for the next time trial 🤘

watch our video's, i spend alot of time watching other peoples laps, i always think i knew the curcuit, Interlagos was again one of them, i did my 50 laps online for the trophy here so i thought it was easy......., it wasn't.
so i started watching videos's where to cut corners and what gear people use, plus playing with the settings a bit, i find myself quicker in this case with counter steering on, normally everything is off (except ABS) but i'm faster with CSA fot some reason this TT.
You still got some hours left!, go for it!

Been slogging away at this time trial. Currently at a 1:25:020..... so close yet so far from that gold.
Here is my best attempt from the weekend. After lap 9 I lost all consistency. Knowing that my optimal of 1:24:661 is possible just keeps me going back for more. I hope I can find enough time to give it a good solid attempt before Thursday.

Hi, I personally believe there is a bug in motion steering that makes it impossible to be faster in this TT and get gold, steering gets shaky. Check this video out to get better understanding what I mean.

@Lambob @Barareklam

I don't use gyro (too hard / too old), but below is a quick lap one of the Japan top split guy did for fun during his stream.
That's Fuji on Gr2, so very similar combo.

He effortlessly put a 1:29 at his second shot with the controller - top time was around 1:28 or so I believe, so well inside "gold".
Then he goes on and hold P3 during a 5 laps race against A+ drivers, with sub 1:30 lap times.

Disclaimer: I am not trying to be mean here, really just a reference point on how possible it is to do fast lap with gyro.
Seeing that kind of blew me away TBH, but the few tries I did with the gyro were... not great let's say.

Thanks @KCR i think in my case is now to practice more and see if can improve to reach gold in this TT and improve my driving skills in general. I had gyro to blame, but I do however admit that I am not so experienced.

Your lap isn't bad!, first sector we are around the same, your first corner is nice! second sector you loose about half a second to me, i think you can optimize 6 and 7 alot, you mist both apexes here, that's alot of time. you exit sector 2 at 1.03.5 and I'm at 1.03.0, and I cross the line at 1.24.185 so you are also must be loosing a fair amount of time on the very last corner! Your lap above seems faster that 1.25 tho 🤔 but you are in the 24's 😁😁 I think if you optimize those 2 corners you are easy in the low 24's 🤪

I usually only use ABS but after being stuck at the 1:25:5xx, I decided to play with the assists and found that counter steering set to strong made me a bit more consistent in this combination by being able to be more aggressive on the throttle.
In the lap of 1:24:854, I am slower through sector 1. In sector 2 I loose time in turn 4 as the back end gets a little loose but I make up for it through turns 6 and 7 by hitting those apexes and using 4th gear instead of 3rd.
Thank you for your analysis of my lap and tips, I will give it another go later this evening and try to improve. I highly doubt low 24's.. maybe mid 24's.
It's not easy nailing all the sectors and stringing them together to produce a fast lap, but when it does happen its so satisfying!!

True, Counter steer helpt me out here too, for some reason it's just a tiny bit more stable, as always the problem is indeed putting it all together in one lap, i was sooooo long in the high 24's when i almost gave up on it, had the gold but wasn't satified, then @dimassa19 set a new time and triggered me again to try
i noticed that i became more consistent when driver longer stints, so began to drive 20/30 laps everytime, eventually my time was set in round 16, and indeed was very satisfying :).
But when looking at you lap and lines i'm sure you will improve! good luck! :)

In time trials, an invalid lap should not incur a penalty, but rather just be invalid. This is one reason why I cant do long stints in one go. Always resetting.
Competition is healthy - it keeps us setting virtual laps over and over again! :D
Thanks again for your tips!
Looking forward to what the new time trial brings - hopefully the mp4/4 at Spa Francorchamps.

This is tough to Gold.. I was going to sit with my 1:25:5XX.

But I want the Gold... managed to get down to a 1:25:00X... barely a tenth off Gold. Tonight will be a marathon session... I think I can do it, but this has been pretty tough for me. Thought the SSS at RBR was tricky but, whilst the car and circuit combo are great, they're great for everyone else too, meaning the boundaries for a good time are being pushed/broken.

I have no idea what to expect due to the fact that PD has not listed anything further than Interlagos, Spa with the MP4/4 would be something interesting!, fairly long track and should also be fun if it's partially wet ( altho alot of people will kill me for saying this )
But something is comming that's for sure!

Yes indeed, alot op people like the GR.2 cars, 1:25, than you are almost there Sunzi, keep it up, still a few hours to gold it, headphones on and eat tarmac for breakfast, lunch and dinner, no time to waste
You can do this!

EDit..... Track:Autodrome Lago Maggiore - Full Course /SH/Car Settings:Specified
Not the easiest , but a fun track imo!

Ugh, Maggiore full - nightmares return of the CE and Human Comedy mission :nervous:

At least SH tyres means it’s very likely a road car of some type, makes it a bit more interesting. A F40 run would be nice.
Yes, there is going to be a whole lot of curbs beeing cut here haha, that's what i learned from the CE.
Nightmare?, naah, i made somany runs on that circuit that i learned to appriciated it to the fullest!, very technical and quite fast, i like it, f40 would be fun indeed!
This one is going to be tough!
Oohyea i will be haha, but than the gold is even more satisfying! :):)
