If you progress like this i'm positive that you will find another few tenths!.
So keep going, and you will succeed :)
I haven't tried the lexus yet, maby i will toningt!
I hope so! It's just finding the right braking/turning points for these cars. They turn so badly at low speeds that the tight stuff is really not very fun, but they're mad around the high-speed turns so braking points and turning points vary so much compared to any other cars. I was on track for a 1:25.3XX but messed that up, so I'm sure I can get a low 25. The question is though: will I find the right balance for a sub-25??

Yes indeed, it's more tactical then i looks like in the beginning, it has alot of different aspects, it is not an easy track to begin with, plus the cars are a hand full in terms of downforce and lack of it at lower speeds indeed like you mention.
I'm also kind of stuck in my lines and due to the speeds my muscle memory has a hard time to change sometimes, you know you have to cut the apex someware but you hands (on DS4) are stuck with the same movement

I'm also curious what comes next?, sport page does not mention anything else after this?

I finally managed to break the 24' barrier!

Be afraid, Maraglino... Be afraid...

Just to tempting to give it another go, headphones on and blast away with the GTR.
Managed to be quite consistent in the 24's and was very pleased to push out a 1:24.185 :):)
There was still room for improvement @dimassa19 ..... so be afraid!:lol:, i'm comming for you

place 1438 now with 2.16% of mister Alien Maraglino

PS4 - DS4 - TCS 0 - CST on for this monster

Did 150 miles last night and made 0 improvement on my 1:24.3. I've seen a 1:23.9 on my optimal so I am determined to achieve it. I've put on a low 23 ghost and I can match them on the first sector some times. Second sector I think I lose a few tenths. I know that because of the speed the distance between the cars will stretch on the back straight, but I'm convinced a lot of my time loss is exit of the last turn!
Down to a 24.1 now. I want that 23 badly.

Interesting use of first gear... With the DS4 I get a lot of wheel spin.

Have you tried revving the engine a while longer on 2nd, 3rd and 4th?

I had to get used to first gear I must say, but you can get on the throttle quite fast IF you straighten just a tiny bit and I'm definitely quicker in first, I find rotating for the tight hairpins alot easier this way, you are right about the possible higher rpm on some points, this lap was "better save than limiter" 🤣, it's a handful on DS4 but I'm sure now that I can get in the 23's cause mist the apex on 10 and went quite wide there, corner 4 could be faster to, we keep practicing 😉 🤘

Not that easy to gold this one as gr2 cars are not my strength. But managed a 1.24.517 which is very likely enough for gold. Key for me was nailing the Senna S, for me it worked going quickly down to first gear for extra rotation at the entry and then carry the speed and just take a greedy line half car over the right exit curb. This way I gained like over 2 tenths on my second best time of 1.24.9 in one corner section.

I wrestled my time down to 1:26:8xx (or was it :7xx?), within a third of a second to go to reach silver. I think I could gain at least half a second if not more in that first double curve of the track, and I'm probably losing a lot of time in the sequence leading up to the slow longer curve, too. Will push out a few more laps today and try for the best. Must say I enjoy these time trials a lot, probably the most fun I've had with the game in a while.

(I also tried the Circuit Experience for Interlagos yesterday and golded everything either on the first or the second attempt – that felt great.)

Faking hell i cant even get a silver in this for about 10 tenths, and Interlagos is the only circuit which i golded on first try,
these cars seem suitable for wheel only, I'm on Ds4 TC1 ASM on, cant improve for nothing damn

Well done to everyone who are getting sub 1.24s/1.23s, (let's not even mention the aliens in the 1.22s), after nearly 200 laps over a couple of days, I finally got down to 1.25.5 and my optimal time was 1.25.1. Even though I want to say that I know this track quite well and generally by now, I would have been closer to the gold time but I'm having some serious difficulties getting it all together and at times struggling to figure where I'm losing the time. I watched a few of the videos posted on this thread and tried to apply it but I can't seem to improve.

Hamilton's preparation to race in Canada in his first year in Formula 1 consisted of 1.000 laps in the simulator. ;)

For this Time Trial I did one thousand kilometers with the NSX, and two thousand with the GTR.

I calculate that until the end of the event I will still run about 500 km... :sly:

Yeah It's not lost on me that you get good with practice and there was a time that I'd put in thousands of KM to do just that but I no longer have those opportunities as I have other engagements. I thought I could have fairly easily get gold even by a slim margin because that track is one that I've practiced on a lot in the past as it is one of my favorites. I don't know if it is the car combination or perhaps that I'm just rusty and no longer have the pace, either way it's been a struggle.

Yeah, the combo has to be considered. The Fuji/Super Formula combo was just Silver to me...

I'm on DS4 to, TCM and TCS off , very doable,
Wheel has the advantage in trailbreaking but with DS4 is def possible to set a good laptime
you just need to practice, 1:24.185 for me now.

Yup I'm DS4 with only ABS and on a 1:23.9, I'm sure there's plenty quicker as well (my optimum is a 23.7).

Some things I've found from following some of the top car ghosts...

Getting on the power as early as possible out of T1 is important, on pad try using 3rd here to help control wheelspin. Cut T2 a bit, it's risky but saves tenths.

Again getting on power through the double left at the start of S2 is important, don't run too wide as the exit kerb will give you wheelspin and you can even get stuck on it.

The double right that comes next, make sure you hit that first apex, don't take a wide line. Watch the second apex it is easy to unsettle the car. Full throttle from between these two apex.

Get wide for the entry of the first slow right, cut the corner and do the same for the long left, ride that kerb all the way round - careful on exit.

The final corner is super important of course, you can have the car half off the circuit to open up the corner, carry as much speed and get on the throttle as early as possible.

Finally got myself some propper time to get some laps in with the help of a top 100 ghost. After about a close to a 200km section I got a best time of 1:23.741 but with an optimal time time of 1:23.522 ... Yep, almost 2 tenths, that I either screw up at the Senna S or at the last hairpin of the 2nd sector (the corner just before the long left hander that comes before the "is that glock?" corner).

I'm out of words for how the top 1 not only managed a sub 23 time but even as far down as a 22.4... Unbelievable. I say this because I'm very confident in this track and driving these GT500 cars and yet I'm still over 1.3 seconds off his pace.

Probably won't have the time (and tbt, effort as well) to improve any further so I think this is going to be my best.

I much prefer the 1 car / 1 track combo for these TTs rather than categories... It all ends up being the same anyway, and of course, as usual, the BoP is wanking the heck out of the GT-R... Back to back at that as it was by a considerably good margin the best car in the last TT as well in the Gr.4/Dragon Trail. And now this... Where can I see the next time trials I've tried the GT website but I can't find the thread or tab that shows the info.

I think it's kinda neat that we're seeing more TTs where you just pick a car from a group, but y'know what I wanna see? I wanna see BoP disabled, and in its place, have a limit on either PP, or power/weight. (Or maybe even all three.) And better yet, this could be for racecars in one of the major groups, or perhaps be for a specific selection of road cars, like the "Gentleman's Agreement" JDM sports cars of the late 90s and early 00s. Or, it could even be for just one given car, and you'd be free to make the ultimate setup for that car/track combination, much like that Daily Race A we had some time ago at Alsace, where you were free to customize a BMW M3 (E46).
