Optimal was 0.187 lower too. Def more in the tank here. Would imagine gold time being about 0.2-0.3 lower by the end.

Here are some statistics for TT33 at Red Bull Ring in the Aston Martin Valkyrie '21.

Highlights:
  • Participation was up again, with only the Olympic event having more participants. Surprising given the... interesting handling characteristics of the Valkyrie.
  • This was a medium tough TT, with 6.6% of drivers getting gold, but fewer than average getting now reward.
  • The proportion of drivers within 1% of #1 was the 6th lowest to date, typical for a difficult car.
  • I've now included our GTP leaderboard - please shout if you see mistakes or omissions; it is a work in progress. Also let me know of your tool of choice (wheel or controller) if you have not yet.

Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 126 to 124.

Interim Results for TT34 at BB

This was a request to help people see how many places they're likely to gain by gaining a certain amount of time.

Thank you very much for your magic! It is an amazing number of members right now and to me ist feels like a league (No new idea or suggestion for further statistics... 😉). Good friendly motivating fun! As with drifting you're racing against the track and with others - in contrast to many daily races...

For anyone who doesn't know how to screenshot and upload the pic here is brief explainer:
Hit share button, then screenshot
Download the PS App and sign in
Click on game library (controller icon with square grid background) the captures
Save image to phone and upload in post (Haven't checked if you can save captures from PC but probably?)

Loving the new Time Trial. I'm on a 52.2 in a Porshe 911, but I know that a sub 52 is possible if I can somehow string it all together.

Struggling with the tight right hander that links the normal course with the shortcut, which is understandable considering that it is probably the trickiest corner on the lap and also the fact that I have never run this layout before. I am too greedy with the speed though there!

What worked for me on that turn is going further left, down to 1st and accelerate out in 1st. On the downhill right hander after that, brake deeper into the turn and use the 911's solid rotation to power out.

After few laps on Lake Maggiore, I'm close to gold with the Mazda Concept* at 0:52.495 (few tens behind @Jeje6410).
For now, Gold could be doable for me but the aliens like @IngRobNy and the Saudi guys are not yet on the track... :nervous:

*: because it's an unpopular opinion :sly:

😜 😂 (but for how long, before you beat me again? You still got better time than me on the current BB TT.)

Edit.

Got gold!!!

Hey mate, nice compilation of data you gathered there. Really nice.

BTW, my input is the PS5 Dual Sense (controller) so that means I was the fastest Dual Sense user on this TT from the forum. Not bad.
24th in the world, would really like to see how many of the 23 were controller guys.

And this TT had a lot of players participating as well, the 2nd after the Olympic event with the GR010. I'm starting to believe I can actually do it when I try it... Or I'm just being delusional.

Mixed bag today.

Started with the Porsche 917 TT at Le Mans. But I clearly had forgotten how to drive it over the last couple days. Binned it just about at every corner at least once. No valid laps, smh.

Went back to BB to see what I could do there. No improvement, I was able to get a few laps into the 32.0's but no new PB after nearly 80 laps.

I suppose that's just the way it goes some days.

But the new TT is out and I threw down a few laps in the 911 RSR. On the first day, I like to see what I can do without any guide, replay or ghost. I managed a gold lap, which is nice. I've never been on this layout before, really it's just that slow hairpin that I'm unfamiliar with, plus the later breaking point for the banked hairpin right after.

There's more time to find, but I'll probably not touch the ALM until after I give up trying to improve at BB.

And last but not least, a thanks to @half_sourly for all the work with the stats and our new leader board.

First stint done on Lago M, the RSR always had a special place in my hart and after the Catslunya and Nordschelife TT I realy fell in love with it, so ofcourse my first stint has to be the RSR, I kept the Targa look from last time, should bring me some lucky turns 🤣🤣

Ended up with 51.588 , not a bad start, I love driving the Porsche here, the hairpin is kind of weird in first gear but it's a make or break turn.

Now comes the time when we figure out how much we can abuse the track, and it's A LOT 🤣

You can realy take advantage of the "square stones grid " to get the car rotated

My good old Turbo Targa wannabe

Let's make some miles baby 🤣🤣

Do it. You got this.

Managed to put in a 51.2 for the new TT which puts me in the top 100 for the time being. I'm not sure if I like all these shorter TTs that PD are putting on at the moment, I guess their engagement analytics suggest that shorter TTs are the way to go.

@half_sourly I'm a pad/controller user btw
I feel ya on that! Although does make getting gold drastically easier. Need some more track variations though as many haven't had one yet RBR just has it's 3rd.

Haven't had (and I'm skipping diff track variations)
  • Tokyo Expressway (although after driving probably close to 1k laps grinding back in the day I'm ok with that)
  • Monza
  • Blue Moon Bay (ok as it's sort of like BB)
  • Circuit de Sainte-Croix (surprising)
  • Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (Absolutely shocking and shameful!)
  • Goodwood Motor Circuit (sort of ok with that)
  • High Speed Ring (This should have been the BB TT track/car combo)
  • I know I said no variants, but they should have used the HWY 1 track vs the south track on Grand Valley
  • Mount Panorama Circuit (Kaz hates this track apparently)

I love Spa and can't wait for them to get their heads out of their @$$ and do a TT there.

Considering they gave us the Nurburgring, it's truly surprising that they haven't given us Spa. I would love that too.

The question now is what kind of car would you have for that Spa TT?

I don't know how others feel, but I like when they choose a car class so you have BOP options. I say it's time for Gr.2! Or even VGT's (don't throw tomatoes at me!) - Watch them use the Willys MB '45 or Samba Bus
