On my GB account I finally got into GOLD but 3 thousandths of a second is cutting it close.

Can the aliens go on vacation for the next 6 hours? I hear that Ursa Minor is very nice this celestial period. 😁

Edit.

I thought that was too close for comfort so I had another go. I got into the 51s. That’s good enough. I’m done now.

Today's session at Spa was frustrating (9 straight laps with a penalty at one point :boggled:) but fruitful getting into the 2:38's. Realistically, I think a low 2:38 is possible. A 2:37.x is probably out of the question. On my fast lap, La Source was very so-so. And I did not feel like I got through the final chicane well at all.

I would love to finish in the top 150, but I will have to improve, and I know others will pick up as well.

Well, looking at my splits now, I actually lost more time in sector 1 than I realized. It makes me wonder just how much time I lost in the final chicane if I was only 6 hundredths off. Oof.

And despite improving my time by over .4 of a second, I picked up all of 1 spot thanks to fast friends here. :P

That's what I'm saying, well I've got about six hours to make a move qucik, my standing time is 0'52.925. So, someone help me please, the gold is calling my name.

The first two corners after the start are critical. Brake into the first but then it’s gentle throttle control in a sweeping arc which I keep in 3rd gear all the way through it (911).

In the left handed, brake hard in a straight line and then continue to trail brake shifting down to 3rd. I give a little bit of gas before stabbing the brake and immediately easing off to say 50% and trail braking into the right handed, down shifting to 1st.

As you line up, moderately apply throttle, too hard and you’ll stop spin, and has it to the bottom on the hill.

It’s been mentioned above, but brake just before the dark spot on the curb for the next right hander, then turn over the inside curb.

The rest is obvious.

EDIT.

I shared my replay. Search the showcase with tag “Normsk”. Also “gtp”.

I also put my GB run on YouTube so you can review it. There are three angles. I race with the hood view.

I noticed that also the presentation of the results has improved after 1.16. Even on the 4.500st position, it was easy to find my time :sly:

Question: is it possible to overlook the results of past time trials (at this moment there is only 1 I think)? Or do they disappear forever when the new trial is published?
Alright, so you've noticed that after version 1.16, the presentation of results got better. Even when you're way down in the 4,500th position, it's still easy to find your time, sly as it may seem!

Now, when it comes to past time trials, they usually don't vanish into thin air when a new trial is published. Most of the time, they're saved in an archive, so you can always go back and check your old performances. It's like having a record of your progress over time, which is pretty cool.

So, no worries, your past results won't disappear forever. You can still dig them up and see how you did in previous trials. Maybe you'll even notice how much you've improved! If there's a leaderboard, you might spot yourself there, shining in all your glory.

Just keep an eye out for any settings or privacy options that allow you to control who can see your past results. Some platforms might give you the option to keep things private if you prefer. Cherish the memories of your epic performances!

Are we getting a new TT today? I'm off work and ready to go... but the website isn't showing anything yet? Usually has a place holder with some details by now

It might just be an hour late. Normally TTs that coincide with updates go up at the end of maintenance (which is an hour later than normal), and they might have just kept that timing accidentally since this would normally be an update day.

Here are some statistics for TT35 at Autodrome Lago Maggiore | West End in Gr.3 cars.

Highlights:
  • Participation was above 150k.
  • This was an easy TT by most metrics, with 16.4% of drivers getting gold and only 6.6% getting no reward.
  • I've removed the horizontal bar graph as it has become difficult to read. I've removed the 'Was it easy?' table and incorporated it into the main table. The best ever finishing position will be done some other time. Some gaps in the below as I have to get into the office today; will fill them later, including interim results for Spa

Yes! Love Vipers... I'm going all in on this one
This could be fun again. I must admit that I don't enjoy Spa-TT that much. The "car" ain't too bad and I love the track but wet surface isn't my favourite. It is a reality check and really astonishing how big the difference between fast and quick is. I'm obviously human and swift... After an early golden summer I appreciate bronze as TE37 rims look best that way... 😉 (I prefer Work over Volk but that is a completely different story...)
