Slowly getting to know the dualsense, I went from the Viper to the GTR wich was a lot better, felt better haptic-wise and a lot more fun to drive, then went for the mazda, I was sceptical about this TT and I was right....

What a absoluut a** of a TT, I went to 55.367 without matrixing the wall and I won't touch it again.

Al 3 in gold, now I can sleep peacefully and expand my margin 😁

Viper GTS ’13: trash
Viper GTS ’13 brakes: trash
Sports medium: trash
BMB Infield: trash

Man, this TT is absolute ass. 1’12.858 miraculously. Bye.
Mate I believe any car's handling will be trash when driven on Sports tyres in a TT. Sports & Comfort should be strictly kept for drifting only. IMO, the best tyre to drive on (if tyre deg is On) is Racing Medium which is on the latest TT at RBR.

Had 20 Minutes yesterday.
First lap on RBR was +2,7%, less than 10 laps and i had +2,2%. Hope it holds up. I used this car on the Daily Race some weeks ago on RBR and quite liked it as a controller driver with automatic transmission.
Had 5 Minutes more and did a +2,5% on High Speed ring.
That was an efficient session. :-)

The usual time trial gold hopefully its of help! I've heard my last one got alot of people their first gold which is great to hear!

As usual, impressive and so useful
Thanks a lot, I'll follow your advices @Tidgney

EDIT: Largely improved my PB on the boring Red Bull Racing with Godzilla at 1:31.194 thanks to @Tidgney advices :)
Still 50 days to gain +/- 0.7 sec. to get a decent gold score on this TT. Should be doable with practice, training and motivation!

Haven't really driven the R35 since it came out and so far haven't been a fan of the modern Gr. 3 GTRs in GTS and GT7. The '18 GTR handles pretty good though and it pays off pushing the limit with the Aston a few weeks ago. Compared to the Valkyrie, doing a lap in the Nissan is pretty chill.

After picking up the pace at RBR, it still took me quite a few laps and around 150km to break 1:30. I'm usually not good with BoP tunes, especially the preset LSD settings, but with this car it's easy to get a nice slip angle enabling me to enter corners quick and open throttle early. Staying in 3rd through T1 with a wide entry saved me some tenths compared to dropping to 2nd.

When comparing Tidgney's guide lap to mine, it's obvious that I'm too aggressive at braking. While my line isn't so much different, braking later and trailing further into the corner could easily save me a good 0.5 - 1 second.

Although a bit frustrated by the wall riding in the leaderboard, I managed a slight improvement at HSR with an opt of almost 55 flat. Not keen on going again, but not sure if 55.787 will hold for gold.

Thank you mon ami :)

Honestly, I was very surprised to get a score so close to yours. Playing with great players like you is very motivating and helps a lot to improve skills.
And yes, ghosts are also very helpful to get a better and faster score. I encourage everyone to use them as much as possible.

Very lightly improved my PB at 1:31.188 (optimal at 1:31.017) after tens laps very inconstant.

As I have issues with the 1st sector, I've worked on the 1st and 2nd turns on the CE (where I've gained 0.4 sec on my PB).
Now it's better on the TT but not yet good enough (22.9xx in average).

The 2nd sector is my best/easiest for now.

Still very inconstant on the 2 last turns of the last sector, mainly due to the stress. And of course, this ruins most of my laps.

I know I can gain these 0.7 sec, it's only a matter of time and practice to unlock the road to the yellow medal.

This Viper TT is trying my patience really cold hard! You'll see when I post you the video in a minute. The beginning is what's throwing me off cause i'll get close to the far right near big blue barrier. Then the middle section can be tricky too. I can't find a good line for the last chicane, the double left hairpin and then making another sharp left before the final straightway(before finish line). So I don't have any inkling of what to do. Yes, I can look at ghosts but trying to copy them exactly is a chore.

Here is my lap. You can use it as reference. Picking the right braking point should net you more than a second.

The braking point for the first corner is at the end of the white sign AFTER the 200 marker...you will have to trail brake into the corner almost 1/2 way (slowly release the brake as you get deeper and deeper into the corner).

For the right kink leading to the infield (15 sec into the video), the braking point is right before the 100 marker. This corner you will have to be ready to catch the car.

The right kink after that (22 sec), look at the dirt patch on the left hand side...brake when the dirt part of the grass ends and fling the car right. Stay somewhere closer to the middle for that straight so you can aim your car better for the next hairpin.

The hairpin (32 sec) start braking BEFORE the end of the curbs on the left. Yes...you start braking before the car is straighten out. Then downshift and keep straight aiming toward the inside of the corner.

The double left turn (42 sec) brake at the 50 board and take a wider line for the first corner then tighten up for the 2nd to allow a better exit (trail braking is definitely needed).

Final left hander (52 sec) brake right at the beginning of the curbs and trail braking into the apex. Be smooth with the throttle...as in slowly squeeze it more and more until 100% or you can spin. Take a slightly wider entery to the bank corner (full throttle), shift to 4th (release the steering input a little bit as the car will rotate when shift to 4th)...release the throttle just slightly and back to full throttle when you approach the bottom of the curve (if you find yourself understeer a bit too much).

It is a hard TT as the car will snap and you have to be ready to catch. Also...it is a FAST car (650hp) and it will take time to slow down.

Edit: Forgot to add video

Another great masterclass by Pr. @Evilmuffin

Prob the car being mad for looking so ugly with that livery lol. Watch some of the track guides posted for this TT - your breaking points and turn in points are way off.

It's the double left at the end that's doing my head in with the Viper, personally. I either turn in too early and hit the first apex, or I overcorrect, and end up so wide I can't pull it back in time for the second. Either way it just feels so painfully slow and cumbersome on exit, not a fun feeling.

I shared it but still can't select it as a ghost 😞
Are you going into the ghost settings menu from before starting? There is an option to Load Ghost from that menu. You can see any that you've saved, or if you go to collection, any you've saved from other's shared replays you've added to your collection.

Modest gains at BMB today. It's been a while since I've worked on this TT, so I'm pleased with any improvement. Optimals look very good, now it's just a matter of stringing it all together (should be the motto of this thread! ). I'm not sure if a 1:12.xxx second lap is possible for me over the remaining time, but I'm certain my Gold is secure.
