11,600+ people have tried the new TT, only 424 have gold ,not hard at all, 1 out of every 27 makes gold....š¤®
Me reading Carlos's review about the new TT:Collected my Cr.2M from the Viper-monster and then realized that might have been easier than the new TT!! Bathurst, poor light, damp track, SH tires and over 600hp... what could go wrong?!?! Quick 10 laps before work, I think maybe two were clean and avoided barrier penalties, with a "best" of 2:18 and just outside silver. This one isn't going to be straightforward!
Hats off to those who are golding it. I can almost guarantee that I'll not even silver this one - in fact I can guarantee it, because I won't be doing it11,600+ people have tried the new TT, only 424 have gold ,not hard at all, 1 out of every 27 makes gold....š¤®
No, the others are going mad. They can't handle the car and assume the track is damp.Slightly confused be posts saying the track is damp, I've not noticed it and just assumed it was the morning lighting. Am I going mad?
The track is not damp, but it looks like a small glaze from like a morning atmosphereā¦ I got a 2:16.4 off of 10 laps.. Have to stay focused during the mountain pass section I keep loosing the rear. It was fun TT though especially in VR is anyone else using VR for these TTās.So around 2:15.3 after a quick run on the new TT, definitely possible to get it down to a 2:14 by tidying up the exit of the final hairpin ( Forest Elbow?) watching the delta increase along the following straight is painful.

I feel you on the kink part!!! That one in the Gr.3 was nothing, didn't even have to think about it other than a slight lift. I couldn't seem to figure out where to brake after that kink because I would end up way short or overshoot it (but more so because my consistency coming into the turn is all over the place lol). But now I have something to work towards for the next two weeks!! It just feels sooo much more gratifying when you keep going over and over and finally make gold time towards the end. This new TT is properly hard. I did another 5 laps or so and only managed a 2:17.5. Having a lot of hard time taking that right kink in the final sector....spinning out many times there. I'm also lossing a lot of time in the downhill section, especially the hairpin. Easily 2 seconds just in sector 3 alone.
You actually need to brake before that right hand kink. I've over shot the following left a few times because the car just doesn't stop. My braking distances are even longer than the fast people, despite braking from a slower speed. No idea why that is.This new TT is properly hard. I did another 5 laps or so and only managed a 2:17.5. These are road cars with sports tires, so you can't expect them to brake as well as GT3 or GT4 cars with racing tires šJust when I thought we couldn't possibly get a car with sh**tier brakes than Viper for the next TT, it seems Maserati says "hold my beer"... Will be quite a challenge to keep this thing away from walls š
Yes! Bathurst is very fun in VR indeed. But man you have to be careful with the throttle or you'll end up cutting the grass or meeting Barry R. My best lap so far 2:12.832 (opt. 2:12.730.)It was fun TT though especially in VR is anyone else using VR for these TTās.
Pshhh if you can afford the MC20 you can afford better brakes! LOLThese are road cars with sports tires, so you can't expect them to brake as well as GT3 or GT4 cars with racing tires š
The qualifier here is that you ultimately reach gold! It officially becomes a š© combo when you fail! But thr more difficult the more fun right! šš
Sir, please slow down.I dont know why some of you expecting the rati to brake like a race car, its a road car at the end of the day of course it will be like this š¤£
its so lovely tho and driving it hard gives a satisfying adrenaline rush + high bpm in the last corners on a good lap lol. The ending is always scary to not waste all the hard work done during the lap. I missed so many 2:10s cuz of the brake zone at the final long straight š
Loving your work as always sir tips hat. Youāre my heroooooooo <insert ferris bueller gif here> šHere are some statistics for TT37 at Blue Moon Bay Speedway - Infield A in the Dodge Viper GTS '13.

Highlights:
There are a lot of moving parts these days and I can't quality assure everything, so if you see something that looks off, feel free to let me know. Thanks.
- Fewer than usual people got gold or silver rewards, but also fewer got no reward, so most people ended up in bronze.
- Only 0.03% of drivers were within 1% of #1, against an average of 0.13%. A clear illustration of how difficult this car was and how unbelievably good the top handful of drivers are.
- The gap between my best time and optimal time was ludicrously big given how short the lap is. Quite often I'd do what felt like a great first sector only to see 21.050 pop up, then a lap later I'd do what felt like exactly the same things and looked like the same things, and 20.700 would pop up. Same for the other two sectors. Kudos to those who strung good sectors together and got into the low 1:12s and better.
- Thank you to @bianconiglio who suggested I add into the leader board columns to show how many of each reward type drivers have to date.
Drivers with gold in all TTs
The number of drivers with gold in all TTs to date dropped from 121 to 119.
