Go for bronze, shouldn't take you long, 250,000 credits is better than nothing. :)
You're right my friend - as usual - Cr. 250.000 is better than nothing but if I wanted to play for credits, I would grab Cr. 825.000 in 30 mns with Godzilla on Le Mans with ZERO pain and ZERO efforts.

I prefer to focus on improving my score on RBR TT to get gold, not for the credits but for the satisfaction to acheive this personal goal.

Oh dear, I've put in 30+ laps over the last couple of days at Panorama. I knocked nearly 3 seconds off my PB today by putting every single assist ON! But I'm still about a second off bronze. Disappointing, because it's a normal car (not the Red Bull or Tomahawk or VGT or open wheeler) and a track I know fairly well - or thought I did. How you guys are getting the times you are beggars belief! Well done.

More than the car, try to get a feel for the Sports hards & the braking feature of the car. Your best time will come eventually. Just keep trying to understand where time can be gained lap by lap.

Quite a strange thing I've realised. With ASM & Steering Feedback (Weak) turned on, I could achieve my best S1 time (19:746) . If I had both of this assists turned off, I was about 2-3 tenths slower in S1.

After playing for 1 hour now, I could only manage a tenth slower than my best lap (2:16:483) so far. My optimal lap was 2:15:5xx.

It's fun & not frustrating to keep trying around this track. The uphill section which mainly makes S2 of the lap is so much fun. I've to be inches away from the walls which kind of excites me lap after lap.

I think I added some fast guys to the list 🤣🙈

I stopped for today, I did spend the last hour in FRONT of my 0.7 ahead ghost but all laps got or a weird penalty without hitting the wall on the mountain and more laps I stuffed up in the last corner.

DEF 13's in it but my hands hurt 🤣
Tomorrow my vacation is over and work starts again, so not that much time again 🤨
I'll prob get outscreened on my own board by Tomorrow 🤣🤣

Cabelmania and Cheetack are new on my list..... 🙈😅🤣🤣

Great job guys!

I figured it out a little. I think I've only completed about 8 penalty free laps but found the time for the brown medal which I thought was impossible for me. I might be able to improve I think if I get the time. It's actually kinda fun in this car. I love BH though. I'm not good at it but I do love the mountain.

Hello there! I think you were usually faster than me, but I went quite hard on this one, my MC20 already lost 6 hp before oil change 😅. As you've spoilered already I did manage to break into the 2:13s today, squeezed a few more thousandths of a second though - 2:13.920.

I am officially marking this day in calendar as 'first time being called an alien' 😂.

Whoever set the penalties for the Bathurst TT clearly hates the people who play this game. There is zero reason that wall contact penalties need to be 1.5 seconds when 0.5 will ruin your lap anyway.
PD just doesn't care about the penalty system, they've done nothing to improve it. And the penalties in the lap time challenges are the same as they are for the race, so penalties are a bit pointless as you should just have your laptime disqualified instead.

Down to a 2:13.757 and I think the car and combo has finally clicked. Put in a 13.9 the previous lap and there's time to tidy up coming down the mountain!

Managed to find an interesting track limits, if you have all 4 wheels over the white line coming into T4 you'll get dinged despite gaining absolutely no advantage

Down to 2:14.570 after today's session. But I got an awful exit onto the long straight at the bottom of the hill again, just watching in disgust the gap at the bottom of the screen go in the wrong direction. And I had a lap later where I was at least 2 tenths up on my best only to butcher the chicane near the end. So frustrating. At least I'm in gold?

Jeddah, dude, you really need to stop!

Guys, how about we go 10€ each and buy Jeddah Xbox and Forza, this really needs to stop. I mean gold is now almost at 2:14.6 and it feels right now that statistics will show least number of participants getting gold. I mean even less than on 1,5% for OS one.
@half_sourly am I right or it just feels like that?

2% currently. I am sitting at 2:16.855 which might be sufficient for silver, and that already puts me in the top 8% of players. Certainly feels like gold to me :)

Crazy how Jeddah is now over 1 second faster than P10 on the leaderboard! This guy is really insane. His latest replay shows he has barely around 100 km in the car as well (assuming he used the same one for whole TT).

That being said I just hit 1000 km in mine. With another record to celebrate on the final lap - 2:13.636 😎. Optimum improved into 2:13.273, but this would probably take another couple hundred kms to get close to. Happy with the 217th position.

I guess I should apologize for spamming this thread so much lately, but I am just so excited. I always struggled with sport tires and could not get into gold for at least 30 laps at the start of this TT.

Finally got around to doing the High Speed Ring TT. Got gold within a couple of laps, so I only put about 30 minutes total into it before deciding to move on.

I’ll probably wait to do the Red Bull Ring TT once it’s close to ending. And for Mount Panorama, I’ll also put that one off until next weekend. Hopefully the dust will have settled by then. :ill:

I hated this TT so much when I first tried it. I put a couple concentrated laps in and found it to actually be pretty fun. I am again out of town until the weekend and have a crazy schedule for the next couple weeks so I'm afraid I won't get to put in a good hour long grind to find my groove. Happy I took the time to at least Bronze it. You guys in the fourteens and lower impress the heck out of me. Nice work. 👾👾👾

In this TT, You do also get 0.5 secs penalty as well if you cut the corner a mild bit during the downhill section. I've also received a 1 second penalty for something similar. A wall contact is bang 1.5 seconds though.

A question to those who love drifting or who're good at it & have played this TT:

Do you find the uphill & downhill parts of this track fun to drift? I'm not good at drifting but I love how this car mildly drifts through those sections whilst being close to the walls. So thrilling.......

As Bathurst is my home track I will be focusing any time I get to play GT7 into getting my best possible lap time.
The MC20 is a bit of a handful on sports hard, I think it would do better to have sports soft tyres but also the power band and gear ratios make it an absolute nightmare on corner exit unless you use a gear (or 2) higher than normal.

Currently my time is a 2:13.749 which puts me at 260th as I write this, however I have an optimum of 2:13.250 so there is still plenty of time to find. A lot of my best laps have been lost to wall contact penalties so it has been difficult to string consistent laps together. This isn't helped by the twitchiness of the car when on throttle.

I hope the gear ratios on this car are different in real life, as they are in the game 2nd gear is absolutely useless.
