Good, a real fun race track with a real racing car with the latest TT. I'm just going to skip the Maserati TT as I don't want to drive a boat. It must be the softest suspension on a modern car in the entire game? I think something is broken on that one. Will probably gold the Suzuki without too much problem. HSR and RBR were not that difficult to gold.

Spent nearly 2 hours on the Mt. Panorama TT as I don't want to give up this one yet. My previous best was 2:16:195. Today after a total of 60 laps, managed to get my best down to 2:15:612 which is still 1 second away from Gold. I'm ok with getting Silver but today I didn't want to give up on this TT. Hence, 60 laps.....

Want to throw a video of a lap up here? I'm sure we can poke fun at you give you some suggestions on where you are losing time.
Sure. I'll record the vid of my current best lap and post here. I know my missing second is in the middle section starting at Skyline and through Forest's Elbow. On the laps that I've gotten close to my ghost (Set +0.9) it's majority in that stretch. I always end up braking too much and losing time or not enough and clipping the wall. If I nail the Esses and dipper then 99% chance I screw up Forrest's elbow. And if I make it through that gauntlet close on the tail of my ghost that right kink into the 20-mile long braking zone is like 25% chance of getting it right. I stopped lapping and started restarting when I get penalty because it made me realize I was going into that corner coming off a penalty far more often than not, which screws up braking point - I don't know how the top people are slowing down enough in that stretch as it seems like they're braking much later than I am but I just keep on going right past the apex!

I got the same experience.
Tried this wallriding at turn 2 for a few laps and the lightest I got was 3 seconds penalty.
Cheating method for the most skilled players - that's what I call unfair ;)
From my days of grinding Tokyo 600pp race - pre-updates where they I believe removed the 5-second penalty for hitting the walls - I learned that if the back end of the car hits the wall, it wasn't a penalty - only when it was, lets say, middle of back doors and forward. That being said, I never had even the slightest desire to wallride.

I've decided to hang it up at MP. I think the time I need to find a Gold lap there is no longer fun for me. I feel spread thin with what I'm trying to accomplish right now, so Silver is perfectly ok with me.

I'd rather spend time at Suzuka, anyway. After some time completing the CE, (@Pesselles you have some great times in there) I had a little time to put down a few laps to see how this might go. It's going to take some work, but I'm not far from what should end up being Gold. Sector 1 and the Spoon curve have always been weak spots, no better time to 'get gud'.

Wow good job, you're very close to gold and I have no doubt, you'll have another yellow medal at the end.
I'll see your CE scores tomorrow, sure you're faster then me.

My fastest lap so far:

with the Lexus, tried all Gr.2 cars now, the Audi DTM is fast and with DRS, but can't turn in like the real GT500 cars, not the merc or the McLaren either, a bit disappointed, I would like to be faster in the Nissan, my favorite Japanese car brand. :embarrassed:
YEAH, that's an excellent start, my friend :)
If I may suggest, I've learnt a lot with the CE and you could seriously improve your score (but not too much, please^^) with this practice. I also would prefer the GT-R but the NSX is perfect for this circuit.

Just barely in there with a 1:51.7 at the moment. I turned my best time so far with the GT-R '16. I initially started with the NSX like it seems all the aliens are using, so maybe I'll go back and try it again and see if I can pickup any time with that since I highly doubt my current time is going to keep me at Gold for longer than 24 hours lol.

Thank you friend, I can't gold sector 1 or the full lap on CE either :banghead: , I'm not that a fan of MR cars, prefer FR cars and Godzilla 2016 answered my call out, by setting a new best time:

😂 (can I soon see the 52's I wonder... Edit. Doesn't matter, gold is now into the 51's... 🤯)

Slowly figuring out how to drive this new TT. This should be a safe gold unless our resident Jedi decides to best the current top time by a full second :odd:

"by a full second" wouldn't be easy if you take a look at the profile of the n°1 of the leaderbord... but, who knows ;)
Congrats, 1:50.853 is almost my gold time on the CE (without the BoP :D).

I'm sure with some practice, you'll gold the 1st sector (not easy but doable without breaking in the S) and the full lap (I found it almost easy).

Suzuka always more tricky for me than expected, each time again, it just isn't my strongest track plus the racing mediums are quite a handfull here, it's more slippery than I thought!
T8 and especially T9 Is still a mystery to me, and I have a hard time to line up properly for 8. choose a breakingpoint.
But T9 Is mega slippery compared to the rest?!

But first stint ended in a 50.872, good starting point from here 😁

I did made a rather goldish car, maby it helps 🤣🤣

At 1:30:373 at the RBR and very sure that will be a gold until the end. That time of 1:28:061 is crazy, honestly. Is there a video of it? I definitely know I lose 2 tenths on the first turn (playing with the controller) and some 2 tenths in turn 4, so I can definitely reach the 1:29, but I just can’t see how to get that time.
The grind is real.
Down to 1:30:084 and 1:29 is so close but I think I will stop for now. I think the 1:29:8 is the max I can achieve if I improved the first sector and turn 4
Very satisfied with my performance but below 1:28:500 is for aliens.

Love the custom decal on the back!! 😍😍😍

Second Time Trial after a long hiatus from GT 7 and I have to say they are quite fun and fill a niche for me since I dont play online and single player content is what it is. Only thing I perhaps don't like is having to keep tabs of whether your record run will be enough, unless you are fast enough to get a comfortable margin for gold every time, which I'm not.

Anyway, surprisingly ended up enjoying the MC20 Bathurst combo although I barely managed silver. I'm sure it'll get knocked down to bronze eventually but I'm happy since I achieved what I first set out to do. And also because after the first tries I wasn't sure if I'd even get bronze - the barriers really bring down the amount of clean laps. Picture related from my personal record run at Suleman park. Maybe you could fit a news paper in there? :scared:

I drove this so hard tonight, I needed an oil change. Also the car needed it after.

So many mistakes and spins in just ~300km, but it's so much fun. I hope to go into the 49s, that's the ultimate goal here, but for the first night, I'm happy :)

Congrats, that's a brilliant score! The circuit and the NSX are a perfect combo.

Run two sessions today at Suzuka, each about 150 kms long. 1:50.617 with optimum 1:50.272 for now.

Having a blast on this one so far, slicks and aero make it feel much more predictable and consistent to control for me.

The key for me to get below 1:51s during my second session was realising I did not need to press brake all the way to make the car turn in on medium speed corners. Still need to practice it, but it lets the car get the initial turn in with slight weight transfer to the front tyres and then accelerate out using all the aero it has.

Sitting here thinking how much pain do I want to tolerate trying to gold MP. It's funny, when I first joined this thread back at the very end of the NSX Daytona TT, I had 1 silver and 5-bronze (didn't do 11 of them) - I ended up squeaking out a silver and being very proud. I was completely happy getting silver. Then I started gold'ing a few but just barely getting in -- Now I'm on a 10-Gold streak going back to Le Mans. I'm <0.84ish seconds away from #11. I'm most scared about finishing like 0.001 too slow because the thought of that is crushing lol

Once you taste gold you will never turn back. My first gold was Sardegna Track C....after that I drove the piss off the cars making sure I would get to gold. The only 2 exceptios were Deep Forest with the Toyota GR10 and Autopolis with Super Formula. Those 2 were just stupid hard.

This MP TT is difficult, but there are a lot of place to gain time. A lot of corners where you will spin with 100% throttle, instead of using 1/2 throttle, the car is actually stable with 80 or 90% throttle. Turn off track info and just drive and test out how late you can brake and how much you can squeeze the gas pedal.

Made a new livery for my NSX since that seems to be the meta at Suzuka. Took a bit longer than expected but I like how it turned out.

After working way too long on the livery I ran some laps and clocked a 1:49.677 as the fastest lap of the evening. I can probably still squeeze a few tenths with a perfect lap.
