....your advice of the CE helped me a lot at the beginning and so I thought it would be a friendly gesture to record a faster lap in return as a 'merci'... 😉 You keep me coming back to the RBR.

...
You're most welcome my friend :) I'm glad to help, even if it's modestly as my gaming skills are far from excellent.

Thanks to this forum (and some friendly aliens here), I could improve my laps and it seems fair to send the lift back when ever it's possible. I'm very happy to help :)

Yes CE are an excellent way to improve skills and the circuits kknowledgment. There's always rooms for improvement. Practicing regularly is the success key. I'm sure we (you and I) will gold Suzuka too!

Not to forget: the CE gave me one million credits so even silver at the TT feels like gold somehow... 😙

Managed a 1:53:188 with NSX '16. With due respect to the legendary track, I don't enjoy driving here so won't attempt more runs here as I did with Mt. Panorama TT.

Probably all of the players in the Top 50 ranking have set their times with the NSX '16 car. This probably suggests it's the best handling car in all aspects. Has anyone tried any other car apart from the NSX with which they could set their best time or the NSX is the best car out of the available options?

I tried with the GTR '16, but it's a bit understeery for me, compared to the NSX. Also I tried the Lexus '16, it's the nicest to drive of all three, most stable, but slower. RS5 is so understeery, it's like it has sport hard tyres compared to the other three, and the stupid DRS is a PITA for me. So in the end, the NSX is the obvious choice for best time possible.

NSX is probably the best overall but Gold is achievable with the Audi, the other '16s and from what I've seen possibly the McLaren - but that ones a hell of an uphill struggle.

that hairpin was satifying, each time i approach it i'm wondering if i need to go to first or stay in second, some get crazy rotation on it in second and i have no idea how they do
The exit of that hairpin is hard to get right. I've only managed a hand full of times...most of the time I applied the throttle too late and watch TheKie's ghost pulling away 🥲

Yeah it's a lottery on this one, ghost pulling away there happens a lot on me
Or too early and watch my rear end chase the ghost :D
But this happens far more often on me :lol:
What offset do you guys use on your ghost? I switched to 0.6s and find it to be a game changer compared to 0.4s
Everything less then 0.5 is to close for comfort for me with bumpercam and i get distracted immidiately and stuff things up.

can't live with any kind if ghost in front of me. too distracting. if i want to improve i watch a stream.
I'm the same. However, when I'm desperate I do load one just to see where I'm losing the most time and then I go practice. On that note, nothing is more demoralizing then watching a ghost leave you in the dust and you realize that you are losing time EVERYWHERE....that's been my case a few times 😂😂

Small detour to Suzuka and finally the gold medal arrived. I still have a lot of work to do to secure it and try to get below 1'51
1'51'581 with optimal time at 1'51'535

Thank you MC20 at Bathurst and goodnight. Hopefully the last time ever I need to drive this combo with sport hards and a stock MC20 that took frigging 3-4 hrs to get silver on two accounts, not good, but I'll take it. Got main account to an acceptable 2.16.580. So my streak of TTs with only gold and silver continues, it will be 28-12 soon. Giving the Suzuka TT a try later this week.

Congratulations jeje! I'm stuck at 1'54.921. I can never reach the first sector line in under 50 seconds, it's before the bridgestone tunnel. See I can't find a good rhythm for the left-right-left sequences at the beginning so that is slowing me down. The very end is a killer too because sometimes i'll brake too late which causes me to hit the red/white/green tire barrier. So, I'm stuck in a rut here. It's like I'm backed up in a corner behind a rock.

Don't worry Chris, your scores will be better with practice. It's only a matter of time.
BTW same experience here, the 1st part is a lap killer (0:50.5 at my best) and from the hairpin to the Spoon corners, I'm far behind ghosts...

I think I had enough of Suzuka for now. Tested with the old NSX, the Audi, got both of them into the 1:51.2s and the Lexus into the high 1:50s. I think those are gold time. I was going to try to get them all into the 50s but just found myself don't care 🤣

I wasn't feeling much like Suzuka or Mount Panorama today, so I went back to the Red Bull Ring since I hadn't been there in...2 weeks? and that was my only attempt so far. A couple tenths improvement picked me up 1,100 spots in the overall standings. Not a bad attempt, but I got VERY squirrelly coming off turn 6. I thought I was going to lose it! :scared:

Clearly some of our fellow GTP aliens either haven't had a go yet or did enough to get gold and quit. Maybe they are planning to come back to it later like me since there is still over a month before it ends. No way should I be in 2nd!

I will enter just for the money... If I remember in time...

[But now I think you have provoked your Aliens friends...:scared:].

I hate the MC20. Maserati, should be ashamed to have allowed that car into this game as it stands. It’s a truly terrible car to drive. I got into bronze and that is as far as I’m going to get.

I then turned my attention on Suzuka. That’s a much more enjoyable time trial. Alas, it teases me. So close and yet so far.
