No better feeling in the world than nailing a perfect lap in a tricky car.

personally I do, first laps I was on 8 but found it to nerveouse on the NSX, than went to 4 wich gave me a better feel mostly for the S'es, then after many miles I slowly went back to 8 🤣🙈Guys are you adjusting steering sensitivity from TT to TT?
I guess question is more for controller users but if someone is doing it on wheel too please say if you are.
Thanks.
For controller I use for this TT (or others TT) 8/8/4 or 7/4/2Guys are you adjusting steering sensitivity from TT to TT?

Welcome on board, I completly understand your frustration as my current PB is at 1:52.6xx..... I could kill my step-mother for a 1:50.165... Any help is more than welcome (just for the gold score)! If you need 2 tens, I have plenty for youI'm struggling so much here, I think I didn't put this much effort in any other time trial. I must have restarted at least 800 times, even googled if you can map a button on the steering wheel to "Retry". I've done over 1300km in the Honda, spent more money on oil changes than I earned via daily tickets.
If I nail the perfect sector 1, I screw up the first or second right hander before the bridge. Even if I nail everything until that point, the slow left hairpin is a time killer for me. Following some top 10 ghosts, I'm right on their tail until that corner and the exit just kills me, it's like they have 200 more horsepower on the exit. Second thing is the last left corner before the back straight, it's a lottery for me literally, sometimes it's good, sometimes it's ****, and the chicane, the car bounces so differently every time, also a lottery.
I mean, yes, I have a good time, I know, but I want to go into the 49s so much, I'm going to need new equipment after this. It's just impossible, I must find 2 tenths somewhere, because 50.2, 50.3 is easy, I can do that 8 times out of 10, but everything below that, seems I lack the skill or some track/corner tricks.

Is 8 and 7 your sensitivity? What do you mean with the 8/4 and the 4/2 ?For controller I use for this TT (or others TT) 8/8/4 or 7/4/2
I had laps where I was 0:49.3xx at the bridge, with the 30.7xx first sector. Looking at the top ghosts, that would be OK for a low to mid 1:49 time no problem, but like I said, my car suddenly has 200HP less at the hairpin exit, so I'm struggling to go under 1:50I'm usualy around 0:50.5xx / 0:50.9xx at the bridge
OK got it! We have the same issue at the same point of the track (the hairpin exit) but you have it earlier because you're faster I have no doubt you'll unlock this issue and entrer very soon the very select "Under 1:50" ClubI had laps where I was 0:49.3xx at the bridge, with the 30.7xx first sector. On the Suzuka "hairpin" CE (sector 3), I'm at 0:12.229 and I had to fight many hours to get this result. The only reason of this miserable score is... the hairpin exit.
@Gorefast and @GlockPants: what is your secret to be so fast on this sector?
Suzuka CE sector 3Hej fellow racers,
after a week off I managed to gold the CE at Suzuka quite easy (and a lot slower than you). The hairpin is a late apex for me and a lot of patience with coasting before hitting the gas again. I like the modern Lexus very much and think I will keep it going. I want to mention that I am over all still slower than you, guys! I myself use the Ghost of GlockPants to find a way to improve.
Hi, could you send me your GT7 profile page please. Not your PSN name.Hi all, this is my first foray in to time trialling again for many years.
@half_sourly be grateful if you can add me to your list of GTP participants please. Won't be troubling any of you front runners, but it's the taking part eh!
The MC20 at Panorama was a tricky baptism, positioned for a bronze and pleased to see the back of that one.
Wheel user, but I don't. I do mess with the TrueForce feedback of the Logi wheel as road cars offer much less feedback than the race cars... which I guess makes sense.Guys are you adjusting steering sensitivity from TT to TT?

I just tried the CE, it's not really comparable to the TT because the car is not under BoP in CE, so it's much faster. I got a 1:49.2xx on the first try with not so great lap. If I could do that in TT, I would jump through the window! On the Suzuka "hairpin" CE
I start breaking at the end of the curb on the right hard, down shift to 2nd right away, then first before the turn in. For the CE, I upshift to 3rd once I'm fully rotated and power out as hard as the traction allows. In the TT, with BoP applied, 2nd gear seems to be ok on the exit.On the Suzuka "hairpin" CE (sector 3), I'm at 0:12.229 and I had to fight many hours to get this result. The only reason of this miserable score is... the hairpin exit.

I typically share my fastest laps in my user page, you should find them there.Suzuka CE sector 3
I don't know in Germany but in here France with 0:12.229... I'm slower than YOU!!!
- @GlockPants: 0:12.057

Before to find the way to improve, I must find GlockPants's ghost first !
Thank you Carlos, I'll follow your moderately-not-so-slow ghost with the secret hope to get the yellow reward on SuzukaWith the sub-optimal weather in California this morning, a change of plans gave me the chance for another run at Suzuka. 125 miles later I'm into gold and under 1:51 with a 1:50.954. If anyone wants a moderately average gold lap to follow, search for "gtpcarlosf" or it should be on my user page, but suggest you avoid copying me in the second half of Spoon where I ran a bit wide
Digit's YT lap
Awesome, your new record - congrats my friend - is my next objective on this TT.Modest gains at Suzuka. Still having issues T1 to T2 resulting in a few restarts. Optimals aren't really better, but an actual faster PB is a good result.

0.13 seconds improved, new lap is shared on my user page.
Headed back to Suzuka today. A good pickup from my first attempt. There isn't a whole lot of nitpicking on this lap. I maybe was a little bit too tentative in the first Spoon corner. And I would have like to have gotten onto the gas sooner coming out of the final chicane. I almost pulled off the rare feat of my fastest lap matching my optimal (not including 1-2 lap stints). But I ruined it by going .002 slower than my best final sector. Damn!

Thanks! I've always felt I have good consistency once I have a few laps under my belt. I'll have days here and there where my times are all over the place. But barring penalties, I usually run similar times from one lap to the next. The most impressive here is your regularity to lap quick!
That's very impressive, really 👍 Hats off! Thanks! I've always felt I have good consistency once I have a few laps under my belt. I'll have days here and there where my times are all over the place. But barring penalties, I usually run similar times from one lap to the next.
Lots of practice and years and years of playing racing games has helped. That's very impressive, really 👍 Hats off!
Regularity is what I still have to acquire to really progress on TT.
