lol last night I was confident a low 1:44 would be enough for gold, but Gallo proved me wrong, Jesus.

Time to find even more time...also, exploits ftw! No wonder they found some pace...

Another hour and only a tenth to show; 1:43.128. I tried steering lock 320, 340 and 360 and it didn't really make a difference. I may try changing the in-game steering sensitivity 🤷‍♂️

How does that make you faster ? I need to try this lol
There are three points on the circuit where you can go straight from 4th to 6th. The two long straights will gain you 2-3 tenths each.

There’s a little more turbo lag initially (lose a tenth or so). But you gain more back.

Eliminating gear changes and turbo lag is key to a decent time.

1:43.0. Frustrating because my wheel doesn't like these quick double shifts... double shifts only work about 80% of the time, but you can lose 0.15 if you miss one of them. I am lifting real quick to do the double shift -- is that right? I have managed to get the double shift to work without lifting but only randomly and mostly that doesn't work.

Unfortunately the Ferrari f1 rim (for T500Rs) no longer works with GT7 -- I tried it again to see if recent updates would recognize it but no dice -- without it all I have are stationary paddles which make shifting formula cars while at high steering angles awkward to say the least, forget double shifting at the apex. If the f1 rim would function I would actually like this combo, but at this point I just hope the 1:43.0 holds up so I can be done.

EDIT: Switched to the alt and ran a 1:42.9 on the first lap. lol. So I know there is another tenth at least if needed.

EDIT 2: 1:42.848 on main… that should be good enough… I hope.

I'm a high B or very low A DR player but I just can't get 🥈 in this week's TT. Just got to 45.5 last night and I knew it wasn't going to be enough. I have 7/7 in TT silvers so far but for whatever mystical reason, I'm so far off here. And I swear I'm doing everything correct on the track, can't see myself getting half a second anywhere. Really strange.

Still a bit off, but I'm also not using the double shift exploit. I wanna get gold without...

Looks like a difficult TT, I would guess the most difficult by now? You guys who are into statistics can correct me, but at the moment I am on place 8000 and not even close to silver. I think I remember some previous TT places up to 20 000 were still getting silver... Or is it just me? Not that I am particularly good driver, get usually silver sometimes gold...

1.85% gold (!!!), 8% silver at the moment - it is a tough one for a lot of people.

Maybe not so many people interested in this one.
Not sure everyone knows there is rent possibility, while car itself currently can't be bought.

Only ones I've struggled in are the road cars. so this shouldn't be too hard to get gold in, hopefully get a decent time in quickly and then only come back to it if i really need to. Only managed a 2.21 in last one, could of maybe spent a bit more time on it but i weighed up the credits with the stress it would of added to my life and thought better of it.

oh jeez spoke a bit too soon. it's way harder than i expected, no thanks to the top boys for setting those times.

I've chipped away at my best time each attempt, but I'm way, way off here. Granted I've only made three attempts so far and done 10-12 lap runs each attempt. Not the many miles others have done in their sessions.

I suspect gold is out of the question for me. I'm sure I can get silver, but it will be a struggle if the top time improves. Or @Doodle comes out of nowhere on the last day and kicks us in the teeth. ;) After having golded all except Fuji which was a silver (I did not participate in the Escudo TT), I was not expecting it to be this difficult. I have to accept the aliens will do me in this time. Also not helping my cause is I'm on DS4 controller, using old school X and square for gas and brake, and auto transmission. Yes, I'm crazy.

Currently I'm at 1:45.683. Optimal time was 1:45.066. I think with a ton of practice, there is a slight possibility I could get into the 1:44's. But quite frankly, I'm simply aiming for silver at this point.

Oh my days!

"This car just ***** me off" is a masterpiece of understatement. Its going to take me a lifetime to understand this car / track combination. I can't get the infernal thing around the hairpin in 1st gear. I see lap guides where they hurl the damned thing around there in 3rd.

More lap guide studying for me! :-(

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

Yeah i think you are meant to be in 3rd exiting hairpin, it stops wheel spin and seems to be the faster way, despite how bogged down the engine sounds, and you are also meant to do a double shift on straights from 4th - 6th.

Was just about to tweet Alain Prost and ask him for tips just for giggles, but he hasn't tweeted in months.

Out of curiosity how do PD work out how this car in particular handles round a track ? I'm guessing but i don't think Prost or Senna could of taken 130r flat out.
