Oh what a fun TT... car and track are great combo, even tires...Slides like a charm...
First attempt gold time for now, in ten laps... Still a lot to shave. I predict many medals on Goodwood TT.

Thanks @Fezzik for rooting for me, but couldn't make it happen in the few laps at Monza I got in today..... still 0.6 seconds off silver (unless the Aliens went even quicker, there was still an hour left when I had to finish). Now got to concentrate on Laguna Seca, where I was bronze but have now been kicked out! 🥹

For some reason there is no Captures tab on my PS app. Is PS+ required for it to appear?

Hit share button, then screenshot
Download the PS App and sign in
Click on game library (controller icon with square grid background) the captures
Save image to phone and upload in post (Haven't checked if you can save captures from PC but probab

When you watch the top replays, the corners that require braking they are at full throttle with full opposite steering lock through the apex. This requires that the turn entry speed and angle are perfect to get though the corner using the full width racing line. I have no chance of doing that with auto transmission. I did the drift missions using manual so I guess that I will have to back to that and treat this TT as a drifting challenge.

You have to be on PS5 for it
What I used to do was just send the message to an alternate account I had and download it from the message in the app
Alternatively connect a USB and save it via the Capture Gallery onto the USB and then connect to a PC and download from the USB

This TT requires some really really fine control. The car just doesn't like to be over driven. I start to wonder if it is actually easier with controller instead of wheel.

Well...I did managed to gold it for now. But it is not a safe gold at all.

Another option is to upload to Twitter and save it from there that's how I do my thumbnails.

The fact that you are only reasonably in gold and yet 583rd in the world (given this is day 1) but still, I think it demonstrates how hard this one is.

I'm actually so surprised people are finding this difficult lol, I thought it was one of the easiest ones we've had in a while.

I feel like I could get a 1:24 using auto transmission, I don't do anything funny with gears or anything so I don't see why that would be a limiting factor as someone suggested, neither was using a wheel (I'm on 24.4 now with wheel).

Then again, I'm a road car merchant so... perhaps this is just well suited to me.

Perhaps that is it. I've got used to Gr.3 cars and like Gr.2 as well. I'm out of practice/just downright bad with road cars and the way they drive in that you need to maximize weight transfer and roll/transition for cornering grip. I've no idea what I am doing there.

Perhaps for a laugh, I'll record my next session and then edit it down for every wipe out moment; though that might be a long video LOL. It seems as if I just apply the brakes just 1% too much, say 34% as opposed to 33% then the car locks up and slides off into the grass in a jiffy. There's no transition to that brake away point that I am feeling.

So I tried it with controller and it is SO MUCH easier. A quick 20 minutes session got me a reasonable gold time that is 2/10 faster than me using the wheel....and much more fun yeeting the car around the corners.

Wow congratulations, this is absolutely beautiful, love the circuit and the car choice is just so perfect! I'm sure it won't be easy gold for humans but will try and do 1000 miles if needed lol

So, is it just me, or does the 50 plus year older BD5 on SH, seem to brake better than the C8 on SM? Asking for a friend

The aston db5 is not one of the easy ones for me. Managed a 1:25.290, my optimal is 1:24.9xx according to gt7, bur it should be enough for now.

Really liking the Goodwood time trial, a fantastic combo. The DB5 is a pleasure to drive and the track suits it perfectly. Aiming for a 1:23 lap time which is not far.

THis Aston one is going to be rough for me. I don't know why, I am just not "getting it." This will be another I don't bother pushing on accounts 2 & 3 as I just don't enjoy it, but I'll try on the primary, especially since TTs are virtually my only source of income.

Best time thus far is 26.390. I remain somewhat hopeful as I was up on it when I biffed the lap. But, I won't feel safe until I get a 25.7. Finding .600" is going to be rough.

Back to using the wheel. Slowly getting the hang of it on how not to fling the car in a way that is uncatchable. Maybe new livery helped too?

Another Thursday with Gold ,...don't know if i have the patience for Laguna,still struggling, as for the new TT,i have plenty of miles on it from GTS,just have to get used to the car, barely gold for now but it will be fun trying to lower this one.

I'm surprised by how many are saying this is an easy one. Well, I guess it's mostly the aliens claiming that. They're all in the 24's no problemo. I'm finding it moderately difficult. Getting some more laps under the belt may help, but it's certainly not "easy" for me right now. As you can tell, my lap was a little messy. I think I can get a sub 25 with some time. Maybe. Hopefully.
