Gold is going to be a big challenge for me at Goodwood. Harder than I thought. I have finally got down to a 25.9, but still a couple of tenths off the current target. I quite enjoy this one, despite the difficulty. I lose a stack of time around the first corner compared with the real fast people. Middle section I am not too far away, and then the final chicane is a lottery.

Are you joking 😭 0.004 into silver now, time to run that horrible turn 1 again 😂

I knew it wouldn't stick so it was just a matter of when do I go back to it

@Barareklam what the h*ll did you eat that day?, that time is insane mate! 🙏🙏
Thanks mate. You are good too, any moment soon into 1:24.***

What I ate is called RALLY 😁

If I may allow myself to share advice to someone who is faster than me in most TTs is, imagine that it's Rally challenge and that means you can turn in earlier than usual and slide the car over turns/curbs while having pedal to the metal even if steering is pointing opposite direction.
Example after first time split, that is yours 26.7 second in your replay, there is first right turn then quickly after that left turn, so what you can do is just turn to the right way earlier than you do into right turn and allow DB5 front left wheel to slide over the curb, most of the car will be outside in the grass but as long as left front wheel slides over curb, there will be no penalty, then do same tactical move in following left turn, imagine that turn starts 2 meter earlier and to the left, aim that, then let car's front right wheel slide over curb in left corner... Kinda like that I drive on this TT. And it's fun. 😊
Keep us posted how it goes. You got this!

After 45mins I am still 0.7xx behind my time, I am losing so many tenths getting power out of turn 1 and turn 4.

It took me an hour to get the gold the first time round but its just not clicking today 😔

I'm dreading trying out the C8 at Laguna Seca 😂

You clearly got the hang of this 😁🤣👌👌
And you are getting faster and faster every timetrial, awesome to see! So that advice is taken seriously 😁😁
I'm going to implement that advice on my next session!, need to be more agressive 😁👌🤣

Thanks for the tip mate, 🙏

For those who don't want to drift their way out of the first corner at Goodwood. You can try braking and not lifting the throttle all the way. The car will be a lot more stable that way. It does take a little to get used to, but you won't be spinning out as much.

This goodwood stuff looks more like mission impossible than 007. I find it extremly hard.

The moment the car is not 100% straight touching the brakes means grass, at least for my level.
Therefore searching for straiths in the breaking zone doesn't allow me to use the whole track.
I'm now at 4.97% , bronze area in the making, i guess.
Im curious to check againg the tutorials, hopefully i'll be able to get some more information

Just set it on fire.....

It was........ until the chicane.......
🤣 I was on my own ghost tail set 0.7 in front of my .180 lap and got to greedy on entry speed of the chicane..... I could cry..... 🤣🤣
Enough for today,

If I would race this in real life I would sip an intire bottle of Glenfiddich on the backstraight each lap to prepare myself for the quillotine chicane 🤣🤣

This one felt better. I turned in a touch too late in the right hander at St. Mary's. But turn 1 was good, Woodcote felt excellent, and the chicane wasn't too shabby, either. Saying that, the start to the lap was interesting to say the least, as the exit of the chicane was VERY dicey! :scared:

An ominous time in sector 1 of my best lap. 😈 Luckily, it was not a sign of bad luck for the rest of the lap.

Gave up with RBR, just going to take silver as I just wasn't getting it today.

Laguna Seca was actually quite fun, after only 10 laps (+2 with penalties) got into silver but left it at that as the missus came home.

After we had tea I jumped back on to give the Aston a go...

20mins in I hit 1:28.005 so started chasing my ghost at 0.8sec ahead of me.

Kept getting ahead up until the last two right handers and just couldn't keep pace, ghost got in front and in the way for the chicane... so I crashed everytime 🤣

1hr 15mins in I decided to turn off the ghost on the back straight, (should have done that sooner 🤦🏻‍♂️), but still couldn't get a silver and got frustrated when I got 1:27.514 and then the following 5 laps I was hitting 1:27.9xx and 1:27.8xx so switched off at that point 😔

Not doing well with the TTs today, except Seca which I was glad about.

I might try the Aston again at some point before it ends (when I have over an hour free again 🤣)

Did my first run at Goodwood. It was quite a frustrating experience, but I managed to somewhat tame the DB5 enough to clear gold and got pretty close to the top 1000. Still not completely confident with the car yet, but this is a good start. That chicane is definitely do or die.

But next time, I’ll be tackling Laguna Seca again as my time has fallen into silver there.

I finally had a sub 25 lap this morning at 24.988 so the emegency was gone and made the discission to go full send on the chicane when i was on my ghost it's tail and that just payed of 🤣

I could be faster because my T1 wasnt that great, but Woodcote and The chicane were just on fire..... ill keep trying but I doubt I will match it again 🤣

So for now 1:24.444

Made some pictures of the chicane..... it was kind of close tho.... 🤣
