Lots of people hate on Goodwood, but it's like any other track, once you find the flow and rhythm of it things can be fun there. Helps to remember it was designed and raced on mostly in cars with little grip, power or brakes so being smooth and keeping average speed way up was the way to go.
I've always found the chicane better to brake early to get a way earlier turn in for entry so you can floor it on exit and straight line it well before the second apex. Slower cars are glorious there
That seems to be the case indeed, i always ( the times that i visited Goodwood besides the in game races against AI ... took way to grippy and fast cars for this track, now i have maby 20 laps on it with the DB5 and i am totally in love, what a great combo this is, way better than all the cars i drove before here, i'm sure i will revisit it with the 250 GTO etc, what a blast....
Except for the chicane
Dragon Trail: I have the chicane of death!
Good wood: Hold my beer....

what a hidious and terrible thing it is, it just kills you, over and over again,
i'm so scared of it, i even go to 2nd now and then

.
I'm still figuring out lines, brakepoints and entryslidelicious but fun!
The detail on the DB5 is so good, this is on the hood, love it!
Ofcourse i smoked out the flag-dude, why not ....
it's a good start for this TT, still getting to know the track, but there should be some more time to gain, i'll try this weekend if i have time!
Good luck all!
