Oboy, if there is one circuit i hate the most it is Goodwood, i know it's iconic, and i should like it, but i just don't...., then again, i hated the big willowe to, but that has grown on me during the TT's
we will see!
Lots of people hate on Goodwood, but it's like any other track, once you find the flow and rhythm of it things can be fun there. Helps to remember it was designed and raced on mostly in cars with little grip, power or brakes so being smooth and keeping average speed way up was the way to go.

I've always found the chicane better to brake early to get a way earlier turn in for entry so you can floor it on exit and straight line it well before the second apex. Slower cars are glorious there

The Time trial with the DB5 at Goodwood,
Where did the big building go that was at the right hand corner leading to the straight towards the grandstands?

There used to be a big barn like building almost dead ahead from this view... now it's gone.

That seems to be the case indeed, i always ( the times that i visited Goodwood besides the in game races against AI ... took way to grippy and fast cars for this track, now i have maby 20 laps on it with the DB5 and i am totally in love, what a great combo this is, way better than all the cars i drove before here, i'm sure i will revisit it with the 250 GTO etc, what a blast....
Except for the chicane
Dragon Trail: I have the chicane of death!
Good wood: Hold my beer....
:lol: what a hidious and terrible thing it is, it just kills you, over and over again,
i'm so scared of it, i even go to 2nd now and then .
I'm still figuring out lines, brakepoints and entryslidelicious but fun!

The detail on the DB5 is so good, this is on the hood, love it!

it's a good start for this TT, still getting to know the track, but there should be some more time to gain, i'll try this weekend if i have time!

Good luck all!

Did my first laps of the Goodwood TT on my lunch break today.... damn its fun....apart from the last chicane, which is a complete heart breaker. Managed a 1.24.8. which should have been better, but I was way ahead of my ghost and went very conservative at the final chicane! For some reason I've always enjoyed these low grip, reasonably low power TTs and races.... there's something satisfying about being really gentle on the inputs and just finessing the car around the track.

I haven't tried Goodwood yet. I decided it was time to do RedBull, which by dint of thinking I have time to do it I risk not doing.

It took me a short time to get a solid silver, about a second from gold.
My problem is acceleration out of the first 3 turns. I'm on eggs because as soon as I force a little the car snaps, not at the apex, but after, when the it is almost straight.
If I am more cautious I leave handfuls of tenths in each one. I tried with TC0, but doing some tests even with TC2 I didn't find much difference, such is the torque of the car.

Pretty fun this one. I am just annoyed by the hood cam being roof cam instead on the DB5.
It's actually roof cam on pretty much all cars that have it I think, it's pretty noticeable on the NSX Concept GT '16 also.
It's just commonly known as hood cam as you can normally only see the hood I assume

Edit: didn't see Dragline's post

I'm still alive lol. Been super busy with life past couple weeks and haven't had much time to game (and I think I have a hangover from MP time trial I was so let down lol) - noticed after the fact that I lost gold on Suz TT by a whopping 0.01x seconds at that. Got gold on Monza, so that's nice. Had gold until this morning on Seca, now I'm again like 0.0xx seconds off and I'm just not a fan of that track and the downshifting to brake extra. Had 25 mins this morning to try out the new TT and just jumped into it. Totally thought I was knocking on gold's door but exited and saw I was only in bronze and like 6.5% off WR time lol. But I should be fine there

The only way I can describe this lap is U-G-L-Y. Missed apexes, sliding around like mad, etc...and yet somehow it put me under 1:25. The only corners I felt good about were Lavant and the final chicane. Go figure. Also, thanks @djolliea for posting your ludicrous speed lap an hour before I posted. It makes mine look like absolute trash being a full second slower.

And I moved up exactly 0 spots on my friends leaderboard. 👽👽👽's everywhere ahead of me! :P

I think I'm at my limit with this TT. There is another 2/10 there but getting it is going to be really tough for me.

It is not sub 1:25s....but close enough. My jaws actually ache right now, because I didn't realize how hard I was clinching them during the lap.

I have such a problem with consistency with this car/track combo. I've done many good sectors (for me) but always ended up screwing something up somewhere. In a way this TT is more difficult for me than Panorama. At less in MP I was consistent.

Depends on how I feel...I may or may not pick up this rusty DB5 again 🫠

Haven’t looked at time trials for a week, but I’m out of gold now on RBR by 0.001 😵‍💫 and had only managed bronze with the Corvette…

Had a little time earlier this afternoon and ran 100 miles around Laguna Seca. Spotting braking points is a little challenging but I’m getting there slowly and have worked down to a 31.9 with optimals right around the gold time.

Haven’t looked at the Aston Martin yet and won’t until I’m solidly in gold on the other two. Crack on!

Getting bronze at Goodwood is going to be hard going for me! But, I have discovered that you can pretty much drive anywhere, and hit anything, without getting a penalty, which is nice. 🤣
Yup I managed to get one penalty in my entire session by sliding over the grass through two corners. Backwards.

Loving this time trial - I think it's the one that finally made it click for me that you can steer using the brakes.

Third session on Goodwood and I have learned a lot,

A: if I take T1 ten times in a row, I'll do it differently ten times 😂

B: IF your lap looks like crap.... it prob. isn't
IF your lap looks smooth.....it's crap 🤣

C: IF the gold time was called inconsistency
I was top 10 worldwide....

But he.....I love it! 🤣

@Barareklam what the h*ll did you eat that day?, that time is insane mate! 🙏🙏

@Dolph Drago Yeah....blah blah crappy lap surprisingly into the 24's..... very origional 😂🤣😂👌🙏

Im not there yet, 1:25.180 for now! 🤣
