At that moment, it’s a lot of seconds. Optimum is still 2 off silver. Losing so much in sector 1, and the hairpin on a pad is a nightmare. Then I finally manage a decent run and blow it at the final chicane.Seconds off the pace is still silver, keep trying.
Your call mate.At that moment, it’s a lot of seconds. Optimum is still 2 off silver. Losing so much in sector 1, and the hairpin on a pad is a nightmare. Then I finally manage a decent run and blow it at the final chicane.
Protecting my sanity and moving on.
I'd actually been doing the 3-5 shift all week, as I felt it was faster than 4 to 6 out of the hairpin because you don't hold 6th gear for very long there, so I thought there wouldn't be much time to benefit from the double shift there. I accidentally confirmed it on one of my failed attempts yesterday when the game failed to register the 3-5 double shift (I guess I did it too quickly), so ended up doing 4-6 and watched my ghost drive away from me before Spoon.Nice lap @GTWolverine
I'm still only at 1:43.15 with about.4 or .5 improvement possible if I get it all sorted, but had a wry smile when I saw you do 3 to 5 out of the hairpin as I started doing that yesterday. Just thought there was more value in that double shift than in 4 to 6 in that situation.
Oh great. now I am only in by .030" (on the 1 account anyway). Won't have time to do any more laps. *knocks on wood.Quicker again at the top

Ok, I will not even try to go for gold this time, unless sudden urges I'm like 0.500 from gold, I don't think I can improve if the top guys continue to do the sameQuicker again at the top

For the final turn I always have a momentary little lift before the end of the rumble strip - whether I've started to slide or not. Either that or you can use 4th and full throttle - it's not quite as quick but 0 chance of wheelspin.Argh!! 1:43.301. Time will tell if I am happy with this time or not.
If I don't improve in my final session tomorrow night, then I'll be (sort of) okay with it. I would have been beyond frustrated if the aliens didn't decide to slap us in the face and I lost out on the old gold time by only .002 seconds.
If I do improve, but not enough for new gold, then I'll be extra upset.
I wish I could put one solid, clean lap together. Just one! I lost at least two chances for gold when my car started to get slidey on the right after the final chicane and my attempts to correct it sent me off into the grass on the left each time. The other attempt I thought may end in gold, I found myself putting one tire ever so slightly into the bright green in between the Spoon corners and slid off.
sigh One more chance tomorrow.
I've found that when switching to the alt sometimes. Instantly slam in another tenth or some faster time. I gotta believe it's the refresh time while switching accounts letting you de-stressDid one final session and after about 30 laps, dropped my time to 1:42.291. Decided this is my limit for this one.
Jumped into the Alt to get the $2m for that account, 1:42.233 first lap! I guess Canadians get some sort of time bonus…
I normally do lift for a split second. I guess I just didn't blip the throttle enough those two instances, and it cost me.For the final turn I always have a momentary little lift before the end of the rumble strip - whether I've started to slide or not. Either that or you can use 4th and full throttle - it's not quite as quick but 0 chance of wheelspin.
The old top time also has a tiny lift at this point.
Just to get you across the line if you're on for a gold time!
Crap. What's the new gold time? I may not even bother getting on tonight if it's low enough.Coyote now p1 with 1:40.184 👀
