First things first, this is tongue in cheek and I love your work, especially this series, which helped me tremendously. Anyone struggling to get golds consistently, or just wants to improve their SIM driving skills, would do well to work through that driving school series.

Now then, about those predictions... :)

I've taken the liberty of analysing your performance where I could find you did TT guides;
  • With the exception of Mount Panorama, you've always been correct within 1%
  • You always under-estimate the gold time (i.e., the gold time ends up lower than your prediction)
  • On average you under-estimate by 0.37%, but at shorter tracks (0.29%) you do better than at longer tracks (0.62%).
Road Atlanta times have gone down a fair bit and you are out by 0.49% to date; unusually large gap for a short track.

Key takeaways:
  • Think about docking about a third of a percentage point off your predictions.
  • Using the data - albeit the Road Atlanta outlier throws a small spanner in the works - I reckon the "St. Croissant" gold time is likely to be around 2:00.250.
This is actually amazing, thankyou! I'm always amazed actually at how much more the time comes down in some areas. I know the Bathurst one was a quick estimation as I was running late to get to Amsterdam haha. Definitely always looking to improve so I appreciate this, alot! As always with me I am never offended with anything really, love feedback so honestly, I really do appreciate this in anyway it's presented!
I think Tidge can consider his homework marked.

B+ by the looks of things.
I'll take a B+!

This Sainty Croiks one is going to prove tricky for me, but I have yet to watch any of those walkthrough videos, maybe I'm missing something on how to drive this thing. So far it's been feeling very understeery.

2:01.7 is a comfortable silver right now, but I'm pretty sure I can find a second to shave off across the whole track to get down to the current gold number.

In contrast to you, I find this one pretty chill. I managed to pop a bronze, then silver, then gold in the span of three laps. I have a feeling that gold time will ease me out of gold and back into silver in a day or two, but this is a fun one! I love the immense grip that the VGT has coming out of corners. Try apexing much earlier than you would normally and you'll find yourself tenths quicker per corner!

That's what I'm noticing, I'm blowing apexes left and right because I'm letting it understeer too much....I'll get there, I'm only a handful of laps in so far :)

My Silver result at Tsukuba will not break my resolve!

To RA again in the 919. It took some doing, almost 30 laps, but I think this time will hold for Gold.

Next, I'll try my hand at the Nordschleife. The Lambo can wait for now ...

I need a couple tenths I think to keep gold. Been going back a couple runs here and there but I need to spend a solid block I think. Nice work!

Can please someone enlighten me and say how the heck some people can go full throttle without draining the battery at all with Gr1 Hybrids at Road Atlanta? Check out the top Audi VGT for example, he discharges the battery whenever he wants, like he has a button!! wtf? It really seems like they're cheating somehow.

Alight....I'm in there w/ the Lambo, not a ton of breathing room but good for now with a 2:00.675

Dragging the brake?

I love this circuit but what is this car !!!!???? 😱😱😱😱😱

A worthless steaming pile of cow dung, figuratively speaking.
It's just not suited to be used on St-Croix, trying it out on the Red Bull Ring Hyper Car Parade just now and it is pretty good to drive stock just with Sport Soft tires. (Edit. Won with 31 sec and got Clean Race Bonus on Normal Difficulty, so it's not that bad on a proper race track.)

For the Time Challenge it is useless for me as well, 1:08.xxx and bronze have to do, maybe try to improve if I fall off the bronze time.

Ok, I did a few serious attempts to understand the VGT here, but I just will not believe PD made this challenge, tested it and said....yeah man, this is a great one, let's release this ....
Track and car are so far off here, i think it's hard to find a more worse combo than this imo.
There is not one corner the lambo feels at home, or is there some way to drive the thing?,
The understeer is just ridiculous, brakes are ok but the tires......come on PD.....

I was realy hoping to have a nice trial after road Atlanta ( not my combo) and the understeer civic rocket thing on Tsukuba....

I'm sure I will gold this eventually, but I'm not smiling while doing this...... next please...

Joined the Honda Certificate club with a 7:44.265 placing me 388th currently.

Although I was happy with the lap, there was an optimum of 7:43.180, so there's still plenty of time left on the track to gain. This session was filled with plenty of invalidated laps from going off track, a problem I was not having previously. I might continue trying to get into the 7:43s but with no reward for doing so, there's no guarantees.

It is a horrible combo....right?

That 2 right sweepers are the worst. I still don't have a clue when should I lift and down shift and power out. The Lambo feels so awkward in that 2 corners....well not that it feels particularly good in the others anyways.....

The battery should last one full lap if driven correctly. Try to keep the car pointing as straight as possible....in higher gear it actually recharge the battery while giving you boost at the same time.

It took a decent amount of miles, but I finally got into a groove at Road Atlanta. Once I could consistently hit my marks, I ran easily into the 1:05's. I can already see the Muffin Man rolling his eyes right now as he reads this post. I had several laps later that were better than my fastest before hitting the chicane, but I could come nowhere near my sector 3 time, usually a good 2 tenths off. I don't know what I did differently that lap.

Yeah i have absolutely NO idea how to handle the thing, my second few laps this morning wasn't even in the gold zone, 2:01.3 or something i believe, but i didn't notice the servers would be down this morning, so the alarmclock was for nothing, So bad combo and bad morning

Did check Kie's lapguide on this one, he is hammering on stomping the throttle down to get rotation out of the car, it feels like the complete opposite thing because of the understeer but he surely knows it's way around so i'll give that a go this weekend.

Nice VR drive mate!

Well I think I may be done with the Group 1 TT, I did manage to get a bronze time in the 1'09.000's with the Porsche Hybrid. The first two sections of the track just gave me too much trouble, I kept going out of the limit near the WeatherTech billboard.
Sector 1 is pretty tricky. Must be especially so on the pad.

Were you starting your flying laps with a full battery for the hybrid drive?

I know I'm like a week late, but how the heck does one get anything better than bronze at Road Atlanta?! Those GR.1 cars and their insane handling plus all the mad blind turns and hybrid usage drives me completely nuts. I've managed a 1:08.3XX in the Porsche 919 so far, but for the life of me I don't get how to extract another few seconds of that thing!

Battery does not last for full lap, and battery gives you much more power, so try to start charging it from very start of TT that means trail braking as much as you can, and continue to trail brake where you can so you have extra power to drive fast. Secondly, if it is better for you, switch camera view to next one which shows hood, and you will see better. good luck.

I struggle to trail brake on controller, but I'll give it a crack where I can. Also tried the roof cam and I think it did help with field of vision but I need to make some slight adjustments to reaction times with that view - kept missing brake/turn points slightly.
