I tried the Suzuka last night, just to see how it is, it's quite strange, somehow the Civic suits the Ring much better, but still after 5 or 6 laps I managed 2:24.7xx, not really near to the certificate, but well into gold (+1.8%), that will be enough :)
True, feels alot better on the ring indeed, feels very weird and heavy on Suzuka, braking for the Spoon curve is like driving a truck on ice , i did a sub 24.9 and was done with it, gold not hard, but also not very nice to drive.

I'm sitting 0.002 clear of the Gold at Tsukuba ... I really hope all the Aliens are distracted by all the other TT's :nervous:
Living on the edge there!, 0.002 is kind of close
I have no idea how fast that nr one time is so i have no idea how much it could drop, i would say not much due to the time it's already up, but the participation for the ring trial does surprise me with "only 78666 entries" and for Suzuka 58258
the age things is a thing ofcours, but perhaps lot of players wait till the end?? that would mean a drop :lol:

So sadle up and squeek those tires again :) :)  👍 💪 💪

To those who're using the DS4 what will be the ideal controller settings for steering feedback & sensitivity for the Nurburgring TT? A higher setting or a lower setting?

I want to extract the most out of my play & am sure the right DS4 settings will help me lower my best time which is currently stuck at 7:52:055.

I've found for me I keep it on the same setting regardless of circuit, but I've got mine set on 7 and it's a good balance of reaction versus over-reaction. If that makes sense.

You only have the sensitivity to play with, feedback is for wheel, i was on 5 or 6, the car isn't agile enough for me to get higher,
most of the time i'll raise it when the car is very snappy and nurveous

New TT is up...

After playing the Nurburgring TT on M/T where I couldn't match my best time of 7:52:055, I switched back to my comfort zone of A/T. As there's a big difference between the 2 modes when it comes to braking & cornering, I had to again get to grips with A/T. M/T is fun but it took a nice part of my concentration when lapping around as it's vital to upshift or downshift at crucial parts of the turn whereas in A/T I just need to focus on driving & braking. I bettered my best time to 1:51:714 which is now about a second off from Gold category. BTW, wish had more friends to compare times with in a competitive point of view.

Güten Tag, Alles!

I’m fresh off my epic Nürburgring/Euro trip and had a BLAST! no rest for the wicked as I’m in the USA now with work but for the short time I was at home I did get a chance to… do more laps at the ‘ring 😂

I’m in the certificate club! Big mistake before Höhe Acht so time to be made; it’s a love hate affair for me as I love the car but the tyre modelling is *****, I think it’d be perfect on Sport Mediums but then sub 7:44 would be way more attainable.. hey ho!

Back this weekend and hopefully can improve that time to get something properly quick but as always the Nordschleife is a real challenge to complete error free, unlike other cars my big problem is track limits and I’ve had some properly quick times invalidated thanks to just having two wheels slightly off the tarmac..

You can come use my setup if you are local, to get the fix. 😂😂😂

Ok, I am VERY curious what the handling under BoP will do on the VGT....
I loaded up st Croix B, got in the Bull slaped some SS tires on it .....drove away in cockpit view......but seeing the first corner is kind of ...yeah...difficult..., so...bumpercam....God....that thing drives horrible 🤣🤣 I does rotate tho!........in first gear.......🤣🤣.....this is going to be fun 🤣

Posting this in case it saves someone's sanity...

I am pretty good at these TTs, not alien level but usually below 2% of the top time. Tsukuba in a FF car, dry conditions, no problem. I know this track like the back of my hand and well, should be pretty trivial. Just throw on a silly Hello Kitty livery so it looks dumb on my friends leaderboard and away we go.

Cannot get gold for the life of me. Spend two hours grinding behind various ghosts that just seem to brake later than I can, turn in harder and accelerate sooner. Finally managed to get within .100 of the gold time but still couldn't crack it. People on my friends leaderboard that I normally beat easily got the gold in short numbers of laps. I'm losing my mind.

Then someone in the GT7 modding discord pointed out that even with BoP sometimes rim sizes can affect grip to a point that it could make gold impossible.

I load up the rental version of the car and immediately get gold and top my friends leaderboard. LAP ONE. In the next 13 miles I got into the 1:00s... It was like going from CH tires to SM. I knew the lines, the braking points, everything I needed to do but I just didn't have the grip to do it before. I wasn't going crazy.

Now I'm wondering which TTs could I have done better on in the past because I did this same thing...

tl;dr my Hello Kitty livery made a gold time impossible

My 0.002 second clearance into Gold territory holds for now!

That means off to Road Atlanta!

I'm getting more used to the 919 and driving a hybrid. However, still having trouble wrapping my head around going this fast around this particular track. So my consistency is lacking.

All that said, I'm soooo close to Gold here. I'm sure one or two more stints should put me there.

0.001 seconds away ... Ah!

A very unpleasant drive.

Did this one a couple of days ago. Struggled to reach 00 (despite correct rims) but eventually sneaked under 01. Was ready to end it immediately once I reached 00 but got to learn how to drive it properly eventually and one important key was to take it easy on the acceleration (kinda 80 - 90%) out of T1/2, T5/6 as well as the hairpin (T11) ahead of the back straight. Went wide in T1 here but sector two was great and it worked out. P146 last I checked.
