Ok, so I decided to do the Michelin TT next. And I think it was the correct decision. Luckily I recently drove this car at Le Mans for money purposes before this event was even announced publicly, so that'd hopefully cut down on my time needed to acclimate here.

Then, after completing my GTWS race I went after it.

I did a couple stints and restarted when the battery would run out.

Hopefully this will hold while I begin trying to set a lap at the Nordschleife!

Yeah, I was taking a different line in T1 than De Bruins' WR ghost and was actually over half a tenth faster than him in sector 1 (.53 vs .60). Haven't checked his new WR lap yet. Interesting to see if he's still using the same line.
Well he must have been reading because it looks like he's found a new line... I was ahead of him as well last night but I've struggled to keep up with that huge new time! Don't think he can get much faster than that unless some magic way of doing humpy boy left hander is found :D
Well, it's official, the Alsace TT is an easy one - how do I know? Because I'm into silver already! 🤣
I'd post a screenshot but the PS app says my username or password is wrong so I can't get the picture..... goodness me. it's an app for playstation, not Fort Knox! Who cares???
Honestly my man I think you can get gold on this one, it's a great track for getting a Gold! How close are you? If there is one part of it you are struggling with let us know and team GTP will try and help you get across that line inside 3%, as you are GTP/Time Trial thread royalty it's the least we can do:cheers:

I got very close to PB's at Nordschleife and Alsace today but milliseconds away from each, here is the replay of my top Alsace lap from last night for anyone who would like to watch :D

What's really bad is that I can't even select my home country (Serbia) at all when creating the account, so I chose Malta, because I like the flag  And now I can't access the TT...
Well it worked for me Thursday, I had to restart my console three times before it ever worked. It only took me 5-6 minutes to register.

Well silver didn't last long, flashed it up today and found I'm back to bronze with 49.339 (now 5.05% off the leader) I bragged too soon...... 🤣

Thanks very much @Dan_Tes for the offer and the comments!
The tight bend at the top of the hill isn't going well.
I followed a ghost who seemed to manage to stay on the inside kerb most of the way around, but generally I seem to get pushed off to the side. Maybe I'm doing it subconsciously myself trying to avoid hitting the barrier!

Yes, and if I do it will be my third out of a mere 100 maybe? I know there's been at least 50-60 TT challenges from my first full year of playing.
I think this one is fairly doable!, it's a short track so more laps in shorter time than usually, so you get in the flow quite easy, and this one..... it's just addictive, only 3 corners 😁🤣 you can do this!

Hitting the inside barrier doesn't seem to give a penalty, I scraped around it a few times and no penalty 👍🏻

Although hitting the barrier on the right hander at the bottom of the hill really cuts your stride 🤣
The struggle is real......

So close to a nice time!......
but so far away...... 🤣🤣, that optimum would place me top 50 🤔🙄😅🤣....

I feel that changing the wing to the small one seems to have an effect, all the top ghosts I follow have the standard spoiler like you do too.

I might swap the spoiler back and give it another go.

I shared the replay if anyone is interested, not sure if you can load a ghost from it if your struggling and want a slower one to follow

Nooo!!! Well that fast downhill right into the tight left at the top of the hill takes a lot of commitment and then some difficult car control to get it right! Are you taking much speed into the downhill right hander? You don't need to go inside the kerb to set a fast lap, staying outside but just not running wide can still get a very fast sector it's just not quite as quick as hugging the kerb. If I get a chance today I'll try and make a video of doing it quickly but staying on the track! But yeah the key is getting the car slowed down a lot for that tight left hander, keeping it tight and getting on the power early on the exit for that long(ish) straight (this car is very stable getting on the power on exit and has a front LSD so doesn't understeer as much). Good luck man!!

Guys, nobody tells @Dan_Tes that I just got time ahead of his time. He will beat my time again and then it will be really difficult to lower it even more.

Second stint at The 'Ring. I was able to get a couple valid laps in. Good news is I'm not too far off from Gold. Bad news is I still need about 10 seconds for the certificate time. But for now, I'll take it.

On another note, I implore the aliens to stop setting faster laps at RA. You've almost knocked me out of Gold!

No problem mate, actually looking at the times I think Gold is tough here given how quick the top guys are but @half_sourly and his magical statistics might just give us more insight on that; I've uploaded a youtube lap that may or may not help, what view do you use and do you use MT or AT? I feel like this one is a great one to do without assists so if you have Traction Control/other assists on it might be worth turning them off.

In the second sector the main difference here to my record fast laps is taking it easy into the downhill right hander; the fastest laps are all set with minimal breaking and crazy commitment into the apex and it makes the car very difficult to control to slow it down on the uphill and keep it tight round the sharp left hander. With a more gentle entrance there and not cutting it so much; get the car straight and pointing roughly towards the entry to the left turn as you go up the hill, break in a straight line as you get to the upslope and get down into 3rd or even 2nd gear, it's crucial to get the car slower than you think and that's ok because if you keep it tight you can get on the power really early in 3rd gear and the differential will drag the car round. Final left corner brake hard before the kerb starts on the right and then get it turned in hard right into the apex and then early on the power right on the apex in 3rd, cut the kerb on the right.

Again my waffle is probably less useful than the video so if in doubt, watch the video! It's always easier said than done but I think the key to this whole trial is that uphill slope braking zone and getting the car turned in to the sharp left hander after it.

@Barareklam I didn't quite waste my entire day trying to beat your time but I did do 100 miles in the Lambo.. aaaaand did not succeed! I did get within a tenth of a second but man that was a fast time, kudos to you my friend I genuinely don't think I can beat it. But of course I'm going to try  That trial gets more fun after about 20 minutes IMO, once you get used to the weirdness of the handling it's strangely fun.

About 13.9% gold at the moment Vs 10.5% or so average over all TTs.

How simple and easy is it to get at least bronze on the Nords? It's such a long name I'm gonna start calling it that abbreviation.
I'm not The Muffin Man, but I think it'll ultimately depend on how well you know the course. It's certainly a challenge, it didn't earn it's Green Hell name for nothing. But learning the track is very rewarding, IMO.

I don't think using AT will be too detrimental to completing a Bronze lap. There's not too much gear box trickery going on, but 3rd and 4th gear seem to be popular with the fast times.

Start slow, get used to the car's handling, set a valid lap and from there you should be able to look at where you can make up more time.

Good luck!
