It's nice to have invalidated laps rather than penalties on this track. The penalty zone at the start of the pit straight is an evil placement otherwise.
Even a 0.5 sec penalty is still heavily punishing, as you lose around a second either way.

But regardless, that is why the penalties are kinda unnecessary as your lap will automatically be ruined, they should've always had the invalidation in place, especially when you carry on the penalty if you don't get to serve it right away.

Here are some statistics for TT49 at Circuit de Sainte-Croix - B in the Lamborghini Lambo V12 VGT.

  • This had the lowest participation rate since TT 14 (Nürburgring Nordschleife in the Honda NSX Type R '02 with tuning allowed).
  • My prediction using analysis of predictions by @Tidgney was not too far out - gold was 2:00.201 versus predicted 2:00.250 (Reference).
  • Certainly a tough TT, with only 4.2% of drivers getting gold; I bet the low participation is because many just could not get it around the track.
  • I've had a go at making your fantasy come true, @Barareklam. Let me know if that is what you had in mind. I'm doing it only for completed TTs.

This was a request to help people see how many places they're likely to gain by gaining a certain amount of time.

So gutted to see I missed out on silver by thousandths of a second at St Croix. I didn't have the time to invest to improve my narrowly "safe" silver, and that means I've now picked up another bronze (was hoping to keep that number of bronze medals at 2). I definitely need to pour some time into the current TT's to get some decent results. The Gr.4 one was an easy silver, but I'm certain I can improve and claim a gold on that at least. I'm less confident on the 918 at Atlanta though - I've only just managed a poor bronze and really can't gel with the circuit.

lol out of context that quote makes no sense

But sure, the track is narrow at some places, or at least the driving line is.
Oops, I meant to put , "it can be easy" in the sentence. Well, I'm not perfect either. What was your time at St. Croix?

This next TT looks like it'll be fun. As much as I am a Gr3 guy, it is definitely cool to see PD thinking outside of the box with the TTs. A lot more variety now than there used to be! Wish they'd put the same minimal effort into the daily races...
Agree. I just did a few laps and the car is a handful; great fun to drive.

Well I didn't earn the time I wanted to in St. Croix. Earned bronze once again because I didn't put hours of effort in.
Bronze is ok. I have a few from the time my wheel was broken and tried using the pad. The Sainte-Croix TT was hard, the stats provided by the great @half_sourly prove this. A lot of people didn't even attempt this one, but you did. And you earned a reward, too!

Well, I don't have a wheel and I tried using my pad. Very poorly, I might add. :)

Many thanks to half_sourly for all the hard work.

Went try hard mode last night and pushed for the Honda eMS certificate at Suzuka as I wasn't content with getting just a gold🤪...managed to bang in a time of 2:23.045.

I also have a confession to make😨...I was a naughty boy and entered the Nordschleife TT. Figured why not as I'd been excluded from other TTs - hope you old timers don't mind . Surprisingly Nord was fairly easy and wasn't anywhere near as difficult to get the certificate. Managed a modest time of 7:44.670

Well, what's a meta car for the aliens is definitly not automatically the meta car for me...I have made this observation before in daily races and today again at the Alsace TT...

Like mentioned in an earlier post used the VW Gr.4 there(which is neither a Golf nor a Polo...it's a Scirocco!) and ran 49,969 there...
So since almost everybody who is fast there is using the new Mazda I gave it a try as well...even after 20 laps I couldn't improve my time there with the Mazda and was 0,2 seconds away from my fastet lap...switched back to the Scirocco again and only needed 5 laps for a new fastest lap, now at 48,727, hardly 0,4 shy of the silver time...normally I am well satisfied with bronze, but in that TT I will keep on trying and aim for silver...in that Scirocco! ;)(or maybe give the Peugeot a try, which used to be my fastest Gr4/FF car in GT Sport on most tracks)

Always enjoyed your statistics while lurking. Great work.

You mind adding me to the GTP leaderboard? I could use some motivation to push for more than just gold on the TTs.

If I remember correctly this is the link you’ll need?

Edit: I’m using a wheel btw

(On that note. If anyone wants to add me ingame, feel free)
