... how did everyone here get so fast these past months? It's like coming back from summer vacation ...
while you were on vacation people used those months and drove laps after laps after laps.... :D

First stint in the AMG, i actually kind of like the way it handles altho you have to be gentle with her.
That line between under and oversteer is so thin, but will loose you so much time when it happens.
So i did learn a few things this first look.
The tip that @Metalgear9493 gave of releasing the brakes at the right time sounds obvious, but after this stint i know what he ment, you can realy trailbrake your way in and rotate the last bit by releasing the brake.
it's no throw around the Merc to be fast, but easy trying to reduce sliding does it.
and indeed you can just keep the gearbox, staying in 6 on the straight, brake before the 150 board and just normally get down to 2nd for rotation, much better than 7-1 what makes the car on controller ( dont know if wheel is differernt ) a bit unstable.
and if you try to follow @djolliea you notice that the first chicane is so important, cause he is already in the cooldownroom when i'm still exiting the chicane if i make a tiny mistake :lol: .

Subida dos Boxes (14) was kind of a mistery at first, but what helped for me is consider it as one corner, so indeed go wide but have steering input all the way, makes me more aware of how wide i can go on exit.

That said, not a bad session this morning @ 1:35.212 (with an intact gearbox :):lol:)
And lots of time to find prob but could'nt get any lower this morning.

My Orange Bastard :lol:

@Barareklam .... seriously... an openingsstint with a sub 35??? :banghead::lol::bowdown::bowdown:

Yea, the Merc is actually pretty easy to gold at least. Third full lap today (sixth overall) got me to 1:36 sharp. But I still stand with my initial reaction. The handling is somehow a very acquired taste. My general understanding of all Merc high performance models has been tail happy muscle car. So I just couldn't understand what the car was doing, pushing the front out with power. That is why I kept on getting red numbers or full on wall contact before even the starting line.

It isn't super bad, definitely better than the Lambo VGT. But still not super fun, so might just stick to getting gold. I'm kinda thinking sub-1:36 shouldn't be necessary, but if need be, I'll have one more session later on.

One thing that might throw you off is how early you have to start turning. :) I did a few laps where I did the last turn flatout, it's possible, but needs the right trajectory and turn-in timing. Turn 5 is also possible flatout, but again requires a perfect turn-in timing, especially with the wall on the inside.

But it's not like you can get the rear to slide when you have so much momentum on anything that's a medium speed corner at least. It still easily kicks out on slow corners.

I just sort of realised I now have to do the Michelin 918 Spyder TT and the HRC Civic TT at Nordschleife in the span of a few hours tonight. Travelling to Vienna for some days, leaving tomorrow and had completely forgotten that these TT’s end already. I thought I had more time. AHHHH!! LET’S GO!:ouch:

... did them both last night and ended up pretty satisfied! Could've been able to push Nordschleife a little more if I had given myself more time but that's what I get for always delaying things til the last minute. :lol: Still, not bad at all.

Really fun time trials these two though. Kudos! 918 is a little peculiar but feels great and can tackle Road Atlanta better than the low and risky 919. I very much enjoyed the 918 Spyder here.

And the Civic can really attack Nordschleife and lets you go all in on all the kerbs, just climbs over them as if they weren't there. Feels pretty damn good as well.

Bad news - my T300RS has croaked. I took it apart to fix the throttle problem, found a lot of lizard eggshells in it, and put it back together, which wasn't easy, hoping the lizard eggshells caused the problem - but no. Now when I barely touch the throttle, it goes to 100%. That's worse than not getting to 100%. The brake also comes on when barely touched. Makes it unusable.

Good news - my wife has agreed to let me get my Christmas present early! A local shop has two T300RS - GT versions on clearance! I'll be there tomorrow, touch wood! I'd love a DD but, to be honest, my driving "skills" wouldn't do it justice and would be a waste of money. I'm really happy with the T300, it's lasted 6 years (nearly) so have no worries getting another one. A bit concerned about the three pedals as my chair has a centre column, but sure I can work around that. I am really doing my best to get bronze at the ring and hope a new wheel will help!

I haven't tried the new tt yet but it should be a fun one.

Struggling to push my time at the ring down. 7.46.5 atm but ive thrown a few 45.9's or better away on the last turn or two. I love the ring so i really want to see if i can get that certificate.

Need to hit the RA tt again also cuse i know i can improve that also.

Good luck to all who are trying to improve before these close over the weekend 🍻🤘

I also have a T300GT Edition, and when my crankset showed signs of fatigue, I bought a T-LCM crankset......

a real nice change......and configurable too......for much less than another T300GT.....

Isn't it possible for you? ......:confused::cheers:

Hmmm......some improvement, but not as much as I like. Looks like getting into the 34s will be a bit more difficult than I thought.

That 2 downhill left handers in the infield are killing my time (especially the 2nd one). I just watch thekie's ghost disappear. Easily 2 to 3 tenths gain there :/

Same here, most difficult part of the whole track, i have djolliea in front, he also disappears......... :lol: :lol:
But i like this one a lot better than the VGT trial, and i'm sure we are going to sub 35!, just takes some time i'm afraid :lol::lol:
or sausing...... :banghead::lol::lol:

Very modest gains in the final days to set a time on the Nordschleife. But any improvement is good!

Tomorrow I will hopefully only have to do one race to log a good result for the GTWS, then spend about 1 hour at The 'Ring for my final push. I don't think I'll make the certificate time, but I'm very happy to have earned Gold here.
