I just couldn’t leave this one as silver with time running out. Was only a second off gold and wasn’t certain it was meant to be. Sure hope this time holds. 😬

Green hell is calling again and about a second drop needed there as well to reach gold and time is ticking down.

Second attempt with the Lambo around St Croix yielded a much better result. Now with a 1:59.056 which places me 280th.
Still around 4 tenths left in that lap if not more, but trying to get this car to cooperate is quite a struggle so it was unlikely I would be able to hook that lap up anyway. Plenty of invalidated laps from nudging the wall on the exit of the left hander after the bridge trying to get on the power too early.

Not going to get a chance to try this again so looking forward to what the next trial will be (hopefully something with no hybrid deployment this time).

Managed to improve another tenth last night at Road Atlanta. Can’t start my PS5 until next week due to work/life duties so my final time is a 1:15.349. Not much time left there to be honest, maybe just a couple tenths. I really hate the CS tires on the 918, bad call Michelin 😆

Good luck everyone!

P.s- Nordscheleife TT - 7:43.751

Morning all!

I had a bit of a wobble last night! Probably my last Lambo sesh and it started off same as always; slight improvement after slight improvement. Marginal gains but rewarding! I set a 1:48.008 which was extremely frustrating as I’d said to myself I wanted to either get into the 1:47s or beat my previous best placing; P32. That time put me at P33 so agonisingly close to both! UGH What followed next was not pretty and we just won’t talk about it but HOURS LATER I did it; despite nearly losing it all on the final corner (not for the first time…)

Might be it for me this week as work and home life are both busy and stressful.. if I don’t see ya, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight!!

In case any of you lads are struggling with the TT @ Alsace, can't guarantee this will work for you....but I was going with the rest of the crowd with the Mazda3 and I was stuck at around a 48:3x for lap after lap with my optimal showing a :48.0x. Just for laughs I loaded up with the Alfa 155 and in 3 or 4 laps I turned a :47.89 without much struggle.

My big issue was the wheelspin under acceleration with the Mazda, the Alfa seems to put the power down out of the slower corners better. Worth a shot if struggling like I was get a little more comfortably into Gold.
Yeah, I have just tried the Alfa 155 and knocked a tenth off of my time. Thanks for the idea. It's sometimes nice to be different from the 90% or so who are using the meta.

That's an amazing achievement and pure dedication.

Looks like a very clean lap and a brave final corner 😂

Well done 👍🏻

Well, that's it for me for a while unless I can persuade my wife to get me an early Christmas present - the accelerator won't go past 90% now, sometimes less. I first noticed when my ghost went hurtling past me when I crossed the line to start another lap!

@newmedia_dev told me how to recalibrate and it worked for a bit. Now even after a PS restart and pedal calibration, 100% only lasts for a little while then gradually drops away.

I may try the PS controller, there are plenty here doing extremely well with it......

Not a bad morning at all, 6 AM again, and hop in the 918 for a slide around RA.
I had lots of 29.9's on the first sector but couldn't glue it all together then, but did have a descent lap in the end
altho that last corner cost me loads of time here :mischievous: :irked:

But still a new PB with 1:15.454, placing me just below 300 now, but there is still more in it for me

Then with a few minutes to spare we went Mazda flying again, stll so much fun and the margin is so small due to the short circuit and the minimal amouth of corners, it's nuts!

But found some time, not much but it's something again!
went from 47.557 to .506 and went from place 207 to 204 :lol::lol:

That leaderboard is insane!

hmmm... am I allowed to share fantasy... @half_sourly I am just sharing, nothing anyone asked to implement...

so, when I am watching racing on TV sometimes there are green arrow pointing up or red arrow pointing down showing as example someone made some improvement, example green arrow next to McLaren which overtook Aston Martin in F1 constructors standings last race... so I was just thinking, nothing you need to do, but if I read correctly alien @Dan_Tes managed to improve his all time high placement, from P32 to P29 or whatever it will be when Lambo TT finishes. Imagine if there would be green 32>29

just sharing what crossed my mind...

Have you tried cleaning the pedals out? More than likely just some gunk on the sensors or something.

I think we can all agree that the abomination VGT @ Sainte Croix is one of the worst, if not the worst combo PD has come up with up till now. My initial reaction was asking Wow, why does the RCR Civic have this kind of an interior? as well as And what about the rain, where is it? Could the interior be artificially creating the sight of a sunny weather?

I really didn't wanna drive the car based on the experiences people have shared it here, but it was either now or wake up really early tomorrow...

It took me over an hour to get used to the car to finally get the gold time. I had done numerous 2:00 flat times, but all of them were DQ'd. It wasn't only the car's handling to get used to, however, as I was also struggling with terrible vision from the cockpit view. But I did not want to resort to bumper cam, as I've always used cockpit view and always will do.

But who thought having such a steering wheel would be a good idea? When you turn the wheel 90 degrees to the side or more, you can't see what's happening whatsoever in some turns. Here's how the lap looks like:

The camera is set to max height btw

I genuinely hope Lamborghini didn't lose any supporters as a result of this TT.

Hi,

I came here tonight with a view to updating you on my, somewhat dismal, attempts to improve my time at Alsace. Then I read about steering wheel design - @TumeK5.

Then about fantasies - @half_sourly.

I cannot improve my time at Alsace.
I cannot imagine why some one would design a steering wheel that would block, almost, your entire view while entering a corner.
I cannot, for the life in me, share my own fantasies here!

On second thoughts..... I can and I will improve my time at Alsace. I will!!!

Best regards to all here.

Ian.

That leaderboard is insane!

I think it's confirmed. @Gomario JSP has fully transformed into an alien. 👽
When wifey realized it's last day for Lambo TT and she has bronze medal and asks me to help her get gold... Then...I beat my own time hahaha

I would say the same for @Dan_Tes, but he transformed at least a few months ago. 👽

Of course there are already established aliens who have been here from the start. You know who you are.

I don't think we all agree. You might don't like it. It's OK. You like more some other combos that maybe I like less. But I am sure we that are on first page like it. @djolliea @Dan_Tes @NAXEHT me and many others...
I did thought the same like you when I started it but then I learned how to drive it and it's pretty nice actually.

Tried to improve my time at The 'Ring. But it was giving me the green hell today. Some invalidated laps were faster than my current record, but I'll have to revisit the Nordschleife tomorrow.

Quite frustrating. I'm not sure I'll find the 5 seconds I need to get into the certificate zone with the amount of time left.

Done with the Lambo VGT. I had one day I sort of enjoyed it when I got into a groove, but that feeling never came back. Nevertheless I lowered my time slightly to claw back into the top 1,000. Could have been better if not for a rough sector 1. I had a couple laps where I was THREE tenths faster in that sector alone earlier in the session. :banghead: Whatever. Here's my meh lap. Hopefully the next TT is more enjoyable.

Wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to make it. But I finally did it.

Welcome to the Certificate Club!

Yes, in the Mission 34 (Gran Turismo 4) I made this gestures. "Sinal da Cruz". I don't know how to say it in English.

I also like the St. Croix TT and I don't mind which VGT we're driving. I'm just happy that we finally got to drive around it with something different. This is the track that barely got any events on World Circuits and I believe Layout B is not even used!

I don't like the track or the car that much, but I'm happy that someone at PD thought about doing something with VGTs and St. Croix for the sake of variety.

Still waiting for a TT at Northen Isle Speedway :P
