Similar results over here. Knocked about .900" off my previous time. Was a 13.8... took a couple of laps and was 13.4, then 13.1, then 13.0. Decided I wanted into the 12s and it took a few more laps but now sitting at 12.9. Odd thing is it didn't even feel like a good lap.

Anyone else think the car sounds different? Sounds like it has a racing exhaust when it doesn't. Maybe it's placebo but I swear it has a much better, 'gruntier' tone than it used to.

Knocked a whole second and a half off my time on my second lap today. 1:15.1 to a 1:13.617. Another 30 laps and couldn't improve. Consistently under 1:13.8, but I just can't find that bit extra.

Barely gold. I'll just settle and hope that nobody cuts another 17 hundredths off of Doodle's current time.

It's weird, though. It doesn't feel much different from before.

I echo everyone else, a lot easier now!

Updated track guide for those hunting gold.

I was 169th (nice) when I uploaded. I reckon loads of you will beat that over the next 6 days.

That's interesting, can I ask why did you double shift just before the right hander after the first corner ? Does that make the car more stable ?

It did before the update and I am stuck in my ways! No idea if the top guys are doing this as I haven't watched their replays yet - the ghost I was following didn't get away from me up that hill really so you don't lose much by doing it.

I was kind of consistent this morning,:lol: this is a gold achievement on itself if you ask me , but did not have the time to really get in to it again, so still on 1:13.165

Edit : it is about time PD fix the sport section site on the website, i just can't get the page for timetrials etc to work, error 400 again and blackscreen, come on PD, i want to know what the Aliens are doing when i'm at work

The update seems to have made me not only faster, but also faster comparatively. Still, I really don't like changes this dramatic this late after the publishing of the game. A change that makes some people a bit faster and some a bit slower (as in couple of tenths give or take), fine. A change that makes everyone a second faster on a short lap like this? That is changing the game into something completely different. Personally, I think the Vette felt more like a street tire sports car before the update. More frustrating than the Nissan on Maggiore, but I'm fine with that. I do not want all the cars in the game to be sharp carving tools.

For the PD web site. You need to have right country selected to see the list. For me, I use the UK site, the US site will give me the error. Must have something to do with being in the right region. EMEA in our case.

Oh, the vette with steroids after update, 1:12.4

Made it to brake 1:14 barrier with my new pb: 1:13.905!

Here is video of that lap:

Not looking fast when you watching, there are mistakes, but seems to be fast in other hand...

Looks quite fast indeed, i think you can gain alot on the uphill S after the first corner, enter in 4th and when you lift to transfer the weight of the car into 5, is alot faster at the end of the straight for me.
Also found out that i'm faster keeping the car in 4th on the chicane, coast the right-hander after that and exit in 4th gear, makes it just a little more steady on the oversteer during the exit, but nice lap, keep pushing! :)

@sdi_03 yes, that was the case for me to, i used UK to, but now it doesnt matter what country i choose after 1.25, just not working for me :indiff:, and great time!, 12.4 is descently fast!

Thanks for the tips, I'll try them.
Not sure can I attack gold, again not far from it, but now I'm on some edge of my capabilities...
But who knows, maybe your tips with gears help.

That is crazy, like all of you, i was able to shed a whooping 1.2 second of my previous best lap (1:14:081 -> 1:12:922). And i definitely can be faster.
Changing the physics like that during a timetrail is mind-boggling for me.
Yeah, it's not cool. Not an issue for me now but someone might've pushed a lot the first days to set a good and/or secure time because they're going to be away for the rest of the period. Then you're potentially screwed.

True, it's kind of the same i felt in the beginning when i golded everything in the game before the first physic update, i was mad as hell, all those hours of setting good times were gone, but..........., i have to admit, in the end i was wrong, The physics are becomming better for alot of cars with these updates so i'm happy with that, it makes the game better imo,
but it had been better to implement this after the time trial for some people indeed.

But i'm happy with it :)

Yeah I have a friend who did a 1.12.9 before 1.25, he was a bit annoyed as well. Well PD can't go around and wait right before the start of the next time trial until they do an update can they.

The issue with a possible update like this affecting is that time trials are open for two weeks. With one week this is probably a smaller issue. 🤔

1:13.686???? Ok I'm out...
It's way easier now than it was before the update. I was struggling to even get silver before the update, now I'm 1.8 seconds quicker and nearly at gold with just a few laps of trying today. The only thing that stopped me was my left thumb hurting so I had to stop at 1:14.0, I really do hate the PS controller left stick position.

Broke into the 1:12's. Barely. We'll see if it's safe for gold by the end of the competition.

There's still more time to gain if I can just put down that perfect lap. I finally got the hang of the esses, but the chicane and carousel are hit and miss. I'm still struggling with the second to last turn. I never know if I'm going to put my tires an inch too far over the outside curb and get penalized, so sometimes I take it too easy into the corner. And it's a matter of losing grip coming out of the final turn. For the most part I'm good there, but I slid just a bit coming out of it on my fast lap, and I'm sure I lost at least a half a tenth because of it.

Alright, I'll give it a try 👍
Yeah I hate the DS4 left stick and triggers (they were even worse on the DS3, a complete joke to play GT). That's why months ago I got a Nacon revolution pro controller 3. Left stick is above, like on the xbox controller, and very precise triggers for brake and acceleration. The only thing missing in the triggers is the rumble that lets you know when you're losing traction. That was very helpful when I played FM.
