Can you describe how the car feels now ??
A lot less like an abusive tank, and a lot more like a corvette.

Much less kick in the rear when going through corners in 3rd now (still there, but leagues more manageable), but the biggest thing I've found is that the turning actually turns. S bend is a lot easier, and you can brake later for the chicane now because the car gets turned in more.

You xfdas you start to turn left as you're coming out of the first part of the chicane. It sounds odd, but it works. At least for me. If you don't, the car will understeer and you won't make the final right cleanly before the carousel.
This really helped, thanks! I'm now more consistent in appraoching it and can focus on increasing speed

Other focus points are:
1) be consistent at the esses, I guess I know what to do, just need to do it more frequently
2) figure out the outer loop. always approaching in a different way, always too shy with the gas

I also have the feeling that I should steer more to force the car in. This may be a general issue with me

It changed a lot!
I just did 1:14.43 and new best on ranking list is 1:11.980 by Jeddah Racing
Oh damn! Where does that put the Gold and Silver times now? I'm guessing the silver must be a 15.6 now? Meaning I'm going to need to get out and put in more laps to make my "safe" silver from the other day and actual "safe" silver!

yes, we all have to get busy again, i hope it feels better now, still is going to be a hell of a lap because the top guys are ALOT faster!, so gold still not easy prob

Gold is around a 1:13.7, silver about a 1:15.2 (just estimating based on the leaderboards, not at home to check)

How has silver come down that much? It was 1:15.8 before the #1 was reduced by 0.2s?
Times are tumbling. Current leader on the website is a 1:11.559, so 105% of that is 1:15.137 - I can't remember how PD round things up (or down) so saying 15.2 as an estimate- someone actually with the game running can confirm the exact figure.

Oh wow, had no idea the top time had dropped that far!! Eeessh! I hope this means I can chase much quicker times myself!!

Silver is now 1:15.136
Gold is 1:13.705

I have just put my new best time, 1:14.078!
Now not far from gold, for now...

New best lap time with ABS off.

It's so frustrating, spend an whole hour before work this morning, PR on 1.14.238, and the best i couild do today was 1.14.5xx, it begins to be a patern for me, on the first day i'll set my record time and never come close to it again?!....., am i the only one? :banghead::banghead:

Does sound a bit familiar, could be a case off fluking a lap kinda and then you cannot improve it anymore. It does sometimes happen when hotlapping that you go quicker than you should, but like just once.

Like my best lap is like a 1.14.064 but got it on my second session. Next best times are a few tenths off lol.

I will try again today after the physics updates. I think I am safe for gold but just curious to see if I can break 1.14.

Well, considering gold is 1:13.7 now, I'm not sure you're that safe :P

I expect it to drop into the low 1:13's once Doodle and co get to competing.

Top time keeps going down and down every time I look. I am trying not to be frustrated with the time I already put in to get safely within gold now being all for naught. But, I guess it gives me something to do in the game now. So I got that going for me.

Even with the new physics change and watching the guides, I can't seem to get gold. I think I just lost my motivation since 2 time trials ago. Doesn't help that I kinda hate Watkins because the track limit seems weird to me.

Corvette handles much more smoother now in time trial, does not start to slide as easy as before and much easier to push it. Down to a 1.13.286 now, almost 8 tenths quicker than pre update 1.25.

I feel like there is a tenth or two still to find (best potential was down to a 1.13.06x at one point), but very difficult to nail down everything. The fast left right combo before the chicane and last corner is what I struggle to be consistent with.

Can't get over how much nicer the Corvette is to drive with the new patch. It doesn't feel like it's sliding sideways and jittering about constantly. Within the space of 30 minutes I was able to warm up and then drop my 1.14.114 down to a 1.13.388 and I know there's still a tenth or two in there if I dedicate some time pushing it. 👍
