This morning I have switched from McLaren to Viper - and got into gold!
It is more twitchy than McLaren, but it's faster on straights.

1:55.691

Later I found new livery, but can't improve for now...

Hey, I woke up from a nap about 3 hours ago so I'm taking a shot at Autopolis, I did really well with all the sectors in the Circuit Experience so it should be a semi-breeze for me.

Now the sharp left turn at Sector 2 is tricky because if I go too fast I will fly off the curb, if I brake too early I will lose time and balance. I gotta choose a good car for this, I'm leaning towards the WRX, Mazda Gr4 or the Sciccoco car. I'll just have to test a variety of cars and decipher which one gives me the best results/low lap time.

Wish me luck out there, I'm getting my MT on!!

Well it worked. I managed to take a chunk of time off.

I tried desperately to get into the 1:54s but getting tired and the effects of a beer got too much. Optimal is still mid 1:54s but just haven’t strung it together yet.

Oh, that was with the F-Type.
I have enjoyed the F-Type lately. Going to try it later after work for sure.

I saw @GlockPants used the Cayman and I don't think I'd ever driven it before and lately our driving style and speed seems similar so I started with it after not having the speed I needed in the Silvia. Pretty easy(ish) gold.

Nice times though. It's been a minute since you were in here really hunting time 👍👍

Hmm i'm not sure what i'm doing wrong in this new TT. Tried a bunch of different cars and my Laps are mostly 1:58 which is ways away from gold 🤔 maybe it's because i've switched to MT and need to get the hang of it more or something
Maybe you are braking too much? I do not know which car you are driving but I think Tidgney pointed out that some turns you do not need to press brakes at all, shifting down is enough. Check his video and try and see if that is the case? Good luck and keep us updated.

Back after a few days away (again). Collected Cr. 250K for a bronze that was oh-so-close to silver (5.02%) but never mind. The new TT is OK, but not a fan of the track...

Been there and done that, now in bronze in front of @seadog777 and @OldandSlow feel free to improve and push me down in the bottom of the rankings, I don't want to ear anymore of this combo !!

And 5min later I was doing the weekly at Monza with the same car
the naked gun facepalm GIF
@Lomic , better pull your socks up, I knocked a couple of seconds off today...... 🤣 🤣 🤣

Interesting that I've seen two of you guys switch the viper and improve. I tried it last night and found it way slower than the supra on the straights. I'm consistently 0.5 - 0.7 seconds slower in the viper than the supra. Have any tips for this car?

I’m the same, just wanted to get into the 1.54,s but 1.55.1 will have to do for now, I’m using TC 2 with the pad but I know it’s slowing me down, I’ll have to work on it turned off.

After focusing on getting a world record at one of the licence tests ( the mission surprisingly failed 😂😂😂) during the last week, i'm getting unmotivated.

The daily races are horrible and the TT's not my cup of tea.

So i thought testing different cars at Autopolis could be fun.

The F-Type feels very fast, maybe because of his sound. 🤔😂

The GT-R is really nice, it has good rotation under full throttle so you can accelerate out of the corners very early.

The Alfa 4C has great rotation under breaking, i really like that, but it has to much understeering under full throttle.

Best way would be to enter the corner with the 4C and switch to the GT-R for exit. 😂😂

At the end i returned to the McLaren, very balanced car which makes it easy to get a good lap done.

Just wanted to pop by and say thanks to those who advised a direct drive wheel was manageable with a playseat challenge!

Hovered around 1.8-2seconds off the aliens normally on time trial after a good few laps.

5 days into the Logitech pro (15% off in UK, no import fees and seemingly better service than fanatec) and I'm already down to 1.4 this time. First time ever on a longish lap!

Feedback so far would say it's worth it if your already in the realm of b/a and above and minimal assists as you can really feel the transfer of weight and limits rather than learning to predict them. Unsure how viable it would be if your not really into it

Either way the fact I'm faster means my purchase feels somewhat validated 😂

Please feel free to add me for leaderboards

Ps. The quality of the wheels and pedal feels amazing

To think that my best lap is only 1'54'719 with the 650S, I think I'll have some work to do to be in the 1'53 range !!!! But frankly this 650S is really wonderful on this circuit 😍😍. Well done for your time with this 650S 👏👏

Interesting. I have a Playseat Challenge and G29 - you've had no issues using the Challenge with the Pro? It feels sturdy enough?

10 more laps at AP, beginning with a bad news : my silver time of 1:58.298 is not silver anymore 😅

But I switfly corrected that with a 1:57.XXX in my second lap.

And improved largely after that 😁

Medium time over 10 laps is better than previous best lap, nice !

Less than 1s to gold... is there any hope for me ? We'll see !
