An otherwise enjoyable TT kinda ruined by the chicane and the situation one must adhere to there in order to stand a good chance...

Again, potential for more but 1’55.316 will have to do. Somewhat satisfied with it and should keep me inside top 300, really couldn’t be bothered to put in much more than ~160 kms on this, given the final chicane which in my view is a bit too much of a lottery. For whoever might care, here’s how it looked.

I'm over with this one.
Deserved silver, not capable of gold this time.

Yesterday I did time two thousands behind my best, but better didn't go, not yesterday, not today.

Looking forward for new TT, only hope it wouldn't be Saint Croix.

Dammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmn that first sector was epic. Even before the time clicked over I knew it was insane. I am surprised how you don't lose time given the sliding you do, i think i am being too nice tot he car trying to keep it straight, you're willing to slide it and it seems to work.

BTW all TT lap videos should be chase cam, makes it WAY easier to see the lines and braking points folks are using.

Nice lap :)
I'm slightly quicker on the first sector but obviously losing time elsewhere as I ended up at 1:55.4!

Oh... is this something a lot of you agree with? I've done all my videos on bumper cam as it's what I use and find it a lot easier to pick my lines and brake/turn/acceleration points with... but if chase is more beneficial to people I'd happily change for the videos!

I'm also a bumper cam guy. I find if I use chase cam videos as braking reference I'm often out-braking myself.

Wow, some of you have amazing skills!! Great laps you driving!
I thought to give it another try today since it's half day left of the challenge but it looks like I will have to admit that I don't have the skills for gold in this one. Way too many penalties today and regardless OPT time 1:56:703 I will be collecting silver for my best time 1:57:783 mainly last chicane causing penalties, and once when I nail it, I was slow in some other sector.

I'm always on cockpit view myself, bumper/roof is "cheating", I want the full experience
I tried with cockpit view for a while, but some of the cars have such limited field of view from the cockpit, even with the position adjusted, I just resorted to bumper cam. Most street cars I try use the cockpit view if possible, but bumper cam just gives a much better perspective of the race. Until they enable multi-screen capability...

Finally! This one really gave me trouble. Now fingers crossed it holds up till the cut off time. Thanks to @TumeK5 and @Gomario JSP . Your tips have been a great help.

Nice! Congrats!, perseverance!, respect for trying it all the way to the end!
The nr 1 time is extremely fast so that 3% range is something to be proud of after all those laps 😉

Good job!

Well that was a surprise - thought I'd try the Subaru and I beat my previous best on the second lap! Nice motor! Ok my previous best is nothing to shout about, and my new drags me just under 2:02 (2:01.89x to be exact!) but closest I've ever been to silver (6.99%)
2:00.065 for me, suburaru one of My favourite gr3 cars, that and the viper, good for fuel the subaru, plus my livery awesome.

Thanks! Roughly 3000km on the Nurburgring GP. I was so close to the gold that I could not leave it at that. The good thing now is that I sort of know the track. That's what I love about these time trials. Forces you to learn them!
Looking forward to the new event.

So... It's been one of the cases where the phrase "long time, no see" suits the most.

After years of being in a hiatus (I never owned a PS4 so I missed the GTSport era completely), I decided to return back to Gran Turismo activity so I bought (actually my brother did) a PS5 and GT7. I first booted up the game during late afternoon and I had just completed enough races to unlock multiplayer and Sport Mode with only hours of the time trial remaining.

Long story short, I'm a massive fan of the track/class combo so I decided to chase the Gold in a relatively slower by so lovely machine: the McLaren 650S. I managed to set a respectable 1:56.7 with the controller; I believe it will be just fine for the Gold.

Not very noteworthy as many could rightly argue but still a good beginning (plus the Credits are always acceptable). It feels nice to be back to GT

Another 60+ laps and several car changes later, I'm sitting at 1:57:381 :ouch::lol:

In, of all things, the Nismo GT-R '13.

This car is the most consistent drive for me today. It somehow helped me stop auto-magically going half a second slower through turns 3 and 4. The GT-R also seems less likely to go random and kill me when I get near curbs and the all-important final chicane car-toss.

We all should get at least 10 million credits from this.

This one has kept me interested whilst the dailies have been uninspiring. I am now officially done and there were, in the end, 8 cars I could not get below the gold cutoff time. My fastest was a 1:56.1xx in the RSR but I barely drove it after about day 4. The official Group 3 hall of shame is;

Suzuki VGT
Skyline Super Silhouette
GTR GT500
M3
18 Nismo GTR
VW GTi
Renault R.S.01
Peugeot VGT

Props to anyone who got these to the gold category, They were all at least quarter of a second off for me.

Looking forward to whatever the next TT might be.
