The Top 100 will elude me once again. It's certainly not for a lack of effort.

However I did manage to improve my time in this final day. I'm pleased I was able to finally set a valid .5 time but I'm just a couple hundredths away from my goal.

The stint was somewhat short as I sacrificed extra time today for the GTWS race (worth it as I came away with a win!). So while I'm disappointed I couldn't achieve my goal, I think I'm overall satisfied with my performance today and with this TT in particular.

Here's the replay.

Sorry @crome  ... I'll just cozy up right behind @330_D

Epic! Hell yes. I wish you'd beaten me! 🔥

After about 10 weeks since I first tried the Time Trials I’m finally in gold for the first time!

Decided to change my approach a bit so downloaded @Tidgney s ghost on Grand Valley (with a 0,2 second headstart and a reset in every sector) and tried to replicate as good as i could and managed to get south of 1.19,8. Went quickly to RBR and once again snagged Tidgneys ghost and after some 20 laps im in gold there as well. Extremely satisfying!

Big thanks to @Tidgney who helped me get there, I Will surely chase your ghostly behind soon again 🙂

No improvement with the Roadster sadly.
After several hundreds of kilometers I couldn't best my time from day 1 (19.7), it just doesn't click with my bad habits
Some corners are still a mystery to me, worked for me twice or thrice, but still didn't figure out how I did that then.
This last day I didn't even manage to get under 1:20, so meh - but gold is gold.
Preferred the dancing Merc to be honest

Huge congrats to the silverados reaching for gold here! Chris30, Lomic and smoothbore12 - you worked hard, you earned it!
Lastly, a mention to our French connector here, Daniel, he keeps the fire going in this bunch of thread people and is on fire at this TT - insane time mate!

Ohh.... @Gomario JSP 🤪

Guess....what???

Did you have a good night sleep?

Are you getting ready to hear what I managed last night?

I........

didn't beat your time...so relex 🫠

I think I had enough of RBR for now....optimal was in the low .4s but I just couldn't put everything together. Once a while during the session I would completely forgot how to do the 1st corner and would be pumping in .6s for 4 to 5 laps back to back. Then I would forget how to do sector 2...etc.

Still some improvement, but yeah....this is it for this TT.

Didn't feel like going back to Grand Valley, so my time is what it is there. I'm holding my breath I stay in the top 500 globally (currently 481st with a few hours to go). While not a bad result overall, there were an insane number of fast laps by everyone in this thread ahead of me. An top 500 position would normally net me a top 10 on my friends leaderboard, but I'm not even in the top 20 this TT. Congrats to y'all!

Meanwhile I completely forgot how to drive at the Red Bull Ring yesterday, as I only ran 2 laps under 1:46 and not enough to top my previous best of 45.915. Over 100 miles and 6 - count 'em - SIX valid laps. :irked: I was slightly? more consistent tonight though still struggling to get into the 45's again. I never could string all 3 sectors together on the same lap but did eventually improve my best. Even on my fast lap, I had to feather the throttle coming out of turn 1, missed the apex of turn 3 (again), and turned into the final turn just a bit too late and had to wait to get back on the gas. I don't even want to know how many tenths I gave up with those mistakes.

It's so fun when you get to the very very nuanced part of being fast. The stuff that gets you into the top 500 is really where it gets surgical. It's super fun to know you have it in you to go faster than you are but it's just a matter of lining the puzzle pieces up so you see it.
These words are gold and I now understand exactly what you mean. I want to try and go a little bit faster on each and every TT - even the ones that I don't jive with. Tomorrow will bring me a new PB and I hope for my first top 500 placement! Thanks to this thread and everyone in it gives me the confidence and knowledge to push for a better time.

My brain needs a puzzle and once I got to a certain level with this game, it became the puzzle. A grown man shouldn't be as occupied by this crap as I am. 😂😂🔥🔥🔥 This forum is a great place to figure out how to go fast. Every single person in here contributes and pushes.

Hello friends!!

What is Dan doing up at 3am on a Thursday morning? Can’t sleep coz it’s new car day?? Nope. Only just finished a marathon session with zero satisfaction. Good riddance to this time trial, what a rubbish combo! I really like this GV layout; it’s fun and fast and suits a lightweight, well balanced car. But no, they give us a brick on wheels from the Stone Age. Which could be fun, but then they give it stickier tyres than 600hp hypercars on cold tracks…

My only solace was that I ended up consistent at least despite the terror of braking in the tunnel each lap… Also to add insult to injury I’ve usurped both @330_D and @GlockPants by the barest of margains. Although to be fair it took me approximately an hour per thousand of a second improvement in this trial 🥴

Finally received my podium hub! Yeah I know it’s got the QR1, but I’ve got 4 wheels and will need to replace that over time. For now I’ve finally got my Black Friday kit together. 😎

As of yesterday I think I have sold gold in both of the current TT’s and that’s been thanks to everyone here. 🍻

Hi Dan, you smoked that TT like it was going out of style!! Well done man! Great time. I hope you and your family are doing well, and you are enjoying your new house. I'm glad you and the Roadster found a perfect match. And guess what I'm in the gold range too, with a final time of 1'20.079, that was my limit however.

I actually wanted to get in the 1'19.000's but it didn't happen. But I am still happy with my hard work.

@Evilmuffin .....you bastard, scared the crap out of me....😂😂
Naaah, I was prepared like I am every morning, you became my nemesis..😂🙏🙏

But please.....don't try any harder on BRB 🤪😂😂

@Dolph Drago it's indeed insane howmany fast laps are putted in at GV, it's so close!
It's bizar that my TheKie crushing lap (moehaha) is barely hanging on to a top 100....I just checked with an hour to go I was 98 🙄😱, it will probably go to 101 ofcourse 🤣🤣🤣

Let's hope for a nice one!

So, who thinks I can nail this Lancer TT at RBR, it will be my 4th gold. I'm proud of my hard work from my last TT with the roadster. So, I am going to learn the MT though, I need to shave any bit of time I can off my lap. I'm looking forward to the next TT, however I'm taking a break until Saturday, I need to rest my hands and arms from the game.
