Managed close to a .100 drop in the Dino today,hope it's enough to stay Gold.:)

I hear you friend. I managed 3 short stints myself today and found another tenth. Keep it up. I feel like there’s a even 5 or high 4 here.

Whole 2 seconds. I saw that coming after a session of 10 laps all within my previous PB and all invalidated ofcourse.
There was even more in that lap, but cautious last sector killed that hope.

I already surpassed my expectations for this TT, dreaming of dipping into 19s. Now I think high 18 is on the cards.
Optimal is 17.8, but I don't think that time is possible, too many miracles would have to happen in one lap.

I don't have too much time in the coming days, but will put every last minute available to chase the 18.
Great combo for time trial, enjoying it a lot!

VR is on my things I might want list. Please let us know how your journey into VR progresses P?

Edit, I knew something was up when I was able to match some time trial results.
I think you’re just getting faster. :)

It’s been a pleasant surprise so far, despite the lack of racing info, it’s still fun to drive in VR, even if I am a bit slower right now. They did a good job with it.
Does VR set work with a PS4 Pro or is it strictly PS5?
I can’t say that I know for sure. 🤔
 
Annoying! If I were and making a lap video, that's how I would rate this TT (as well as my current time).

With the Veyron TT in good shape, I switched to the Dino for a session tonight. Ran about 10 laps and didn't really get very far (high 1:07s if I recall).

Then I watched @Tidgney 's lap guide to at least get a clue of how to approach this TT. Hearing him say it and translating that to execution are two different things. I guess I'm not really good with slidy cars with weight transfer issues.

Ran another 20 laps against his ghost and with his pointers in my head. I will say it has been a learning experience! "So close, yet so far" sums up my current result. I still never feel like I have total control of this car.

I think I'm going to go and dream about how to manage the weight transfer on this thing, and maybe I'll come back tomorrow and do better. At least there's still quite a bit of time to improve and get into Gold. I have to believe it's doable.

Meh....this TT is so difficult for me 🤧

I was so busy keeping the car from understeer/oversteer/psychosteer to properly get the corner entry right. After 100km or so my brain was fried 🫠

Optimal is actually in the mid 1:04.5s, but getting there is another story.

@Gomario JSP @Dolph Drago I think you 2 will win this one, but at less I'm above @Dan_Tes .....yes...me totally taking advantage of him being busy and can't play 🤪

Oh wow @Soccmals did the exact same time as me.
The number of times I said, "Just one more lap and I'll call it quits', yet continued on to do another lap was numerous.
I do this as well. You might think that a tenth is a small margin but when you're close to the limit, it definitely doesn't feel like it. Not that it would stop you from trying over and over again:lol:

I have three words for you and everyone else who struggles with this: Counter. Steer. Assist.

I am a bit ashamed to admit it, but I kept it on „strong“ and it carried me all the way into the high 1:04s. From time to time I would turn it off to see if that gave me a bit of an advantage - I‘m sure it does if you‘re aiming for a top 100 time - but for me, CSA made this TT a lot more enjoyable. Having said that, I admire everyone who can tame this beast without assists.

I am a bit ashamed to admit it, but I kept it on „strong“ and it carried me all the way into the high 1:04s. From time to time I would turn it off to see if that gave me a bit of an advantage - I‘m sure it does if you‘re aiming for a top 100 time - but for me, CSA made this TT a lot more enjoyable. Having said that, I admire everyone who can tame this beast without assists.
So what should I have my CSA on, I have it set to Strong for now. The ABS is weak, I wonder if I should set it to strong too. My TCS is at 1 and I'm using the MT. I have all assists off so I should be good to go, it's just the first 4-5 turns are very tricky because I can easily hit the wall in an instant.

I always have ABS on default. Haven't encountered a TT where setting it to anything else will help you in any way. You don't need TCS for this one, the Dino doesn't have all that much power. But CSA on strong makes a big difference, at least for wheel users. Don't know if it's the same experience on controller.

There's no shame - at last, I don't have any - to play with all the cards when you need them.
Assists are also a part of the car features, like any others. And on some TTS, I used assists (not on this one). Of course!
If someone needs CSA to get a better control on his car, his drive, it's perfectly fine. And congrats for your insane scores @crome !

I do admire people who play this game fairly, no matter they are faster or slower than me, no matter they use assists or not.

whoa... whole weekend of the forums and got like 5 pages of this thread to read. Did some dino tt on saturday, a bit over 30 laps and sitting 0.5s from gold. This car drives on edge of going sideways and into the wall, still havent managed to get through the essess in sector one flatout, I'm simply afraid of losing the back :D. T7 and last turn give me headache. Gonna tackle with that dino some more this week

Spent the evening doing laps in the Dino, and I'm starting to feel like I'm getting very close to my limit. Managed to string together one of my fastest sector 1s with my fastest sector 2 ever, so I don't think I can improve much further. This will do, for now at least. :)


Also still P5 at Le Mans. Interesting to see how that holds until Thursday. Would be my best placement ever, even if I drop a couple of positions.🤞

For Sardegna.... your T1 is killing me :lol: i can follow you fairly good in the midsection but no matter what i do you always run away from T1 :lol::lol:
That last turn is bugging the crap out of me, I've got to master it somehow with my powers and ability. Wish me luck y'all. This will not be an easy feat for gold this time.

I think it's doable indeed, it's a short track with only a few braking points.
and you can try a lot of laps in a short period of time so the learning curve is good on this track imo.
I can't speal for the assist thing, i don't use it here so have no idea how the car behaves with them on.
Listen to the tires and try to minimise the tire squeeking, no pumping the throttle but smooth it all out...
if you have trouble with that last corner try to be consistently steady for the approach, sound easy but that's the clue, that sometimes means giving up some speed on the corner before so you will be sure to end up straight on the left side.

Had a so so... sector 1 @ 28.147 so a .3 is def out there but it's going to take a lot of efford to nail that :grumpy:
A lot of laps i have sort of trouble knowing the car's width, had a descent amount of sudden G forces hitting the red barrier uphill :lol:

Embrace the wall..... didn't put the decal on it what i normally have but would suit here

@Pesselles, I'm beginning to think you don't believe that Prost loves a pineapple pizza...
First, it's not "Prost" but "Monsieur Alain Prost", or "The Professor".
Second, in France we don't eat pineapples but ananas. And because we are civilized and educated, never on pizzas.
At last, I won't comment your Photoshop skills but the Swedish has killed the game...
