Anyone else notice that gold here is 1.0% off the top time, and not 3% as usual?

Makes it a bit more challenging, but still something of an early April Fool's joke (or gift?)...

I think it is exactly that - a combo 'gift'/ April's Fool. Fair play to them; can't accuse them of not providing variety.

Not so pleased about the change in medal cut-offs; all sorts of opportunities to screw up my scoreboard spreadsheets...

And what skills does this TT helps you learn ? except being extremely smooth with your left thumb in only one direction for ever ? not sure how useful it can be on any "normal" track.


Oval tracks are "interesting" when there are other cars on it and you have to be strategic with slipstream among other things. But on a TT...

We all agree, getting gold is stupidly easy here but it's not that easy to keep the perfect line at this speed on the full lap, it's not that simple to gain hundredths or even thousandths, it's not that simple to be in less than 3 tenths or 2 tenths than the WR.

Aside, we'll grab Cr. 2 millions in less than 36 secs, which isn't bad.

For me, don't bother changing your spreadsheets and simply don't count this TT or put it with the special TT ! Well it won't change anything for your spreadsheets! In short, it's spring, everything is budding but not necessarily good ideas

Ummmm, not sure what to think about this new one but I am 100% for an 'easy' one... especially after the Dino one being kinda PITA to gold. Haven't tried it yet but looks pretty straight forward.

Got a 35.9 on attempt 1 and clocked 1% dead on. This one's not going to be easy in the long run because of the amount of people flocking to it.

I found for the new one that cockpit cam, Force strength 10, feedback 1 made it a "little" easier to keep inputs to a minimum.

With lower force and bumper cam I found I was steering/over steering to much.

Well I put in another oh I don't know...120 laps? in the Dino last night and while I'm consistently in the low 1.06s now I couldn't get into the .05s let alone the gold time. Probably get sucked into another couple hours of it tonight. It's very addictive! lol

I logged in this morning and registered for my 2 million credit gift at Daytona. Thanks PD! Only 397 Sardegna runs to go now!

I think it could be interesting, too, especially with what someone said about the gold threshold being the top 1% instead of the usual top 3%. Plus, it seems like it takes well under a minute to do a whole lap of the super speedway, so that could have some fun implications. Not to mention I don't think I've even driven the Chaparral VGT in any GT game yet. (Could be nice if the 2D returned, too.)

For some "not human" players, every TT is gold, and if possible in the Top 100. And they'll fight each others here, like they do on all others TTs.

For some players, gold isn't possible on every TT. Sometimes, it's one time on two. Like many others here, I'm in this category. I'll do my best, I'll grab that easy cash and I'll play without complaining.

But for some others players, simply getting silver is already a real challenge, and sometimes it's simply impossible to them. We all trend to forgot that but there are so many players with different skill levels. No, we are not all talented, no, we are not all fast, and no, we are not equals.

So even if you find this TT stupidly too easy/pointless, let's keep in mind that's a kind reward and a kind way to encourage those who struggle to usually get silver and can't even dream about gold.

It'll look very unusual. Since there's basically no time to be lost or gained the top 100 will be an odd one with names usually not there. Early birds too, considering there'll be a lot of exactly identical times and the ones ranking above are the ones setting the times first.

This one sucks ass, man. Needs to be said.

I don't think this is possible though, at least I haven't found a way to get the threshold info from the API. So the only way would be to hardcode the 1% for this specific event, and then update the plugin every time this happens again. Which would be kind of stupid.

I think you're confusing me with @Barareklam 😅
I'm using a 8nm wheel and trying to go through that perfect line is making me tense up, hence the forearm pump 😂
