Did a few more laps in the hope to get below 35.6 but no way. I'm around #400 or so so now but can't be bothered anymore. Too hard to be that precise with the controller for me šŸ˜… Gold should be safe and I better focus on the green hell tomorrow šŸ˜ Also my hands will thank me šŸ˜‚

I think a lot of that comes from newer and/or inexperienced players. Used to be, we could only see the times others posted and replays were not something so easily available.

If you played this game and only just cleared the Gold times on all the license tests and CE's you might think you were pretty good at GT. Then look and the leaderboards of top times and see they're entire seconds faster than you.

Then you come here, looking for insight because you're quite frustrated that you can't also be that fast.

But at least in here, you learn.
That was basically me. Aside from GT sports, I've played all GTs since GT1. I golded all the license tests. Golded almost all the circuit experiences. Thinking I got to be pretty good at the game.

Then I tried the Online TT and barely gotten bronze. Talk about Big ****ing Hammer to the ego  I even stopped playing online TT giving myself excuse such as "not the most efficient way to make money".

I eventually got back because a friend wanted to compare time, and we struggled a lot to get to the silver range. Then one TT "Sardegna C gr 4" I somehow fumbled myself into gold...well...that was it. I never stopped until I managed gold (not easy tho). That's when I got really serious and started googling all the info I can find on how to go faster (Including finding this page). It helped a lot and eventually I became fast enough to gold all TT with minor struggle.

Then @half_sourly came up with this community leaderboard idea....well....game on.

Then there were this certain Dutch person and a certain fellow American (with turkey leg avator) who ALWAYS posted a time a little bit faster than me....they made my eyes twitch....must beat them......:D

Each milestone was important and once you reached it, you will wanted to reach it again. The first gold, the first top 1000, the first top 500, the first top 200, the first top 100. I still remember I was jumping around like a kid when I made 29th in the world (44th when all settled) at Daytona with the 911 GTS...told my kid, my wife, and everyone I know and had a smirk on my face that everyone wants to punch. šŸ¤Ŗ

But yes, this board is awesome and many thanks to everyone here!

This one is gonna really skew the graphs for participation and golds @half_sourly šŸ¤£
Yep. At least with 70 TTs gone by the time the **** Mobile (ā„¢) (see what I did there?) one finishes, it won't affect the averages too much. But it will be hard going to be replaced as the easiest one ever.

At the moment that is event 30 Tsukuba in the Audi TT, but using my method of taking into account a few factors and weighing them. By proportion gold alone, it is currently event 15 Sardegna in the WRX any Gr.4 car, with 35.8%. As things stand, 54.6% of drivers are in gold territory, despite the lower 1% threshold. Of course that will drop once the new guy sets his record time tonight.

Would anyone care to share a replay at Sardegna with an AT, the MT is not working out for me here. The Dino won't cooperate either and I'm getting irritated. I'm stuck in the mid 1'07.000's with a 1'07.504!

I need help here if you don't mind. I just don't like T7, it's a lap killer.

I think that will be enough for today with Daytona. Improve my time at 0'35'660.

Tomorrow I plan to return to the Dino. I wish you all a good game with lots of fun. Take care of yourself and see you tomorrow !!!!

Just fascinating he destroyed my hard earned 1.05.7xx in his first try .
On top of that with AT he was even faster.
Not even finding the correct angle for the uphill part could slow him down šŸ™ˆ
And he let the annoying right hander after the uphill looks like child play ā€¦
I guess itā€™s time for me to start praying again..šŸ˜³šŸ˜…

For scale on this, in a day and a half this TT has already cleared the 2 lowest-participation TTs (the first one in the Escudo and the tuned NSX at the Nurburgring).
Not being rude but can you say that in a different way because it reads in both ways for the metrics.

I'll admit I can be a bit slow so it's me not you.
