Very, very happy with this lap (pad lap). Couldn't get on with the Nord, so this is a nice change for me! I know I can get into the 39s if I hook it all up!

There is no record to update. Your 92nd place in TT80 is a matter of fact and in the full data which I extract after each TT with all the times and placings for every participant across the world. For people who are not on the gtp leaderboards, like you, the only way I can establish their best ever finishing position is to extract their results from all TTs.

That is what I have now done for you and I will send your results to you by private message.

I described Nordschleife as 3 great tracks strung together. Well, Le Mans is 1 average track with a bunch of annoying chicanes stretched to the length of 2 tracks. lol

I did 3 laps on the controller this morning...the last of which was a 4:02. Not even bronze. There's lots of time to be gained at every corner for sure but I think I'm looking at silver at best.

I really enjoyed the Civic at Tsukuba, I got into the 1:12s fairly easily after about 6 laps and I'm on track for my 2nd ever gold which is nice. I think I need to be a little more cautious on the throttle when exiting corners to avoid understeering if I want to go any quicker but I'm happy with my time as it stands.

Ah, c'est la vie!!

Ran one last stint last night in pursuit of the 7:38s but the 'Ring gods were not with me. The 38s were just not meant to be.

Had several laps in the low 39s, including this one which was my PB by a tenth or two.

@Evilmuffin , I feel your pain. I had a lap that was certain to be in the 38s ruined by an uncharacteristic screw up coming out of the little carousel near the end of the lap which cost me at least 0.5 seconds.

Anyway, it was a fun and rewarding experience, and a PB placing on the leaderboard at #549. Plus, I hope I can take some of what I learned onto future TTs from a skill point of view. I definitely feel like I learned something.

Big thanks again to @Evilmuffin, @Dolph Drago, and @Gomario JSP for their advice and inspiration.

Now, on to Tsukuba and LeMans!!

Another fun combo imo. Love LeMans and the McLaren F1 drives like a charm.

I drive most faster race cars with TC1 but tried with TC0 and improved my time by over 1s.

After the humbling Nordschleife experience it's nice to see a golden time again 🙈

It's only the second time. There are 8 specific course/layout combinations we've had 3 or more times.

Well I failed at the 'Ring to get gold and I now predict I will fail to get Gold at Le Mans as well. I don't do well on long tracks and tend to forget the turns. Le Mans has a lot less than the Nordschleife though so perhaps I won't get so mad? Nope, that's not going to happen as I invalidate the lap on the last chicane... That last section in my kyptonite.

Le Mans is much easier to get within set percentage as there are a lot of full speed sections on it - less occasions to lose time to the record.

Meanwhile Nordschleife is the opposite, with a lot of tricky turns. Longer lap, too.

Thanks, but it's just thanks to Nordschleife allowing for more mistakes...I was completely lost in the Olympic TT...not to mention people actually tried there.
