Seems odd, doesn't it. One running a week, one running two weeks, and the Olympic one. Then a Grand Valley one, but that only starts next week. With the overlapping finishing dates (one each week), I wonder if that is their plan now; run two at a time with starting dates staggered by a week.

Two at a time with staggered dates is what a lot of people have been asking for, so I think this is a great change. Really hope they keep it up.

New TT's for the curious.

Here are some statistics from TT22, the Radical at Dragon Trail Gardens.

You could look at the string of elevens and twelve in the main table, and the (quite harsh, given only one red) 'medium' difficulty and think this was a run of the mill TT. But we know better.

Best participation so far, with over 150k results.

On a personal front, I ended up 96th, best percentile result to date (top 0.06%), second best nominal result (91st at Laguna still best) and third best in terms of gap to #1 (0.9%; with Autopolis in the bus at 0.73% still best).

Now on to three, yes, three new TTs. Good luck.

What's the plan for the three TTs then?

Personally, going to work on the RBR for a couple of days with a fixed car and Bop, I'm not expecting the times to drop massively so once I've got a sub 40, that should be good enough for gold.
Then it's on to the olympic TT until it expires before turning to the Fuji Gr3. Seems a lot of people have run the new AMG but I don't expect that to stay the meta for very long

That's what it is all about!, good job on the progress 😁, if you were faster than you expected then you have succeed 😁
I was hoping to get into 38 but still within top 1000, so I'm happy 😁

On to the next, good luck 😁👍👍
Top 1000, congrats ✌️
Only got to 1237 and it dropped with people bettering their times over the last 2 days. Still, I take the 1,84% as a personal win opposed to usually landing somewhere in the 2,5 - 3% range.

Kudos to everyone pushing on and good luck for the next TTs.

Agree 100% and hope this will stick. Having just one TT lasting two weeks felt stale for me after a while, especially if it's not a rewarding combo fun wise. Thx for posting the screenshot.

The Olympic one runs longest, so I'll have a go at that as and when. Here is a planner showing when each TT runs. You could do:
  • Red Bull next few days
  • Then Deep Forest for a couple, with a Red Bull push before the 4th.
  • Then Fuji with some Deep Forest, until 11 May when Fuji ends. Maybe with some Grand Valley too; I think that Wicked is going to be a handful.
  • Then mix Deep Forest and Grand Valley until the 18th.
  • Of course there is likely to be another new one starting 11 May and again 18 May, should the 2-at-a-time thing carry on. Good times.

there are 3 TTs !!!!!! But they are mad at Polyphony Digital !!!! Fuji International Speedway, Red Bull Ring and Deep Forest Raceway !!!!!
🤪🤪🤪🤪
Yeah, and in two days I'm going away for over a week.
Need to concentrate on Red Bull (as it finishes before I come back) with some Fuji mixed in.

BTW, I collected my 2mil for Sausage Party Barbecue at the Mountains and found out my final ranking to be 11111th, fun figure.

Yes funny position in 11111th !!!! Bravo my friend 👏👏
The Red Bull Ring is difficult with the Alfa !!!!!😱😱

Unlike the sausage curb debacle, I think Golds are quite achievable for me at Fuji and Red Bull Ring. I am currently sitting in Silver in both.

I know that I have given up a lot of time in the chicane at Fuji during my initial run this morning, so lots to improve on in that corner alone.

The RBR TT is a good one. A short track and road car should suit me. I am a few tenths outside of gold, but don't feel like I have got to grips with the car just yet.

I don't like hybrid Gr1 cars with their weird power delivery, so I have posted a time that should be good enough for silver, and will leave that one well alone now.

RBR Alfa TT is good fun, though the car is much more squirrely on exit than it used to be. Makes an interesting challenge!

Currently sitting at a 1:39.0 for it - going to move on to the Fuji one for now though.

Would make sense due to the physics updates in 1.31, after which you can't go as hard on the throttle.

Great update with the parallel running 2 TTs and Olympics TT. I suspect I can get gold in one of the two TTs, Olympics should be silver at least, since I am quite experienced with the GR010. Luckily that tricky Alfa is on such a simple track, so perhaps gold can be done 🤔 Need to check, if I need to use tcs and or stability management/countersteer assist like last time when GTA am was available in Daily Race A. Might take a while that combo to get a good lap, due to the car.

The Olympic one says it's done in 10 days if you look at the screengrab at the top of the page, which puts it ending on 5/7. But, the site says what you have, that it goes until 5/21.

What am I missing here? Full disclosure, I haven't turned on my PS5 yet so I can't investigate through GT.

Well earned a low 1'43.070 in the RBR time trial. I keep getting a shortcut penalty at the end before the FL. See it's hard to tell where the limit is and hard to stay within it when you're going at a high speed. At Sector 1, where is the best place to brake to take that first right without touching the grass?

Genuinely forgot how slippy the Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm is (I find at least) but managed to get a solid 1:39.870 but definitely can go faster - maybe closer to the 1:38 region. Will try out the others but reckon the Deep Forest will be a silver effort at best considering the strictness of it but I suppose a double reward (except bronze) is worth it.

I'm not that skilled at DF, see the part before you get to the first tunnel requires agility, skill and balance on how well you navigate the corners/turns. And that annoying sharp left turn after exiting the last tunnel can be a pain b/c I lose a couple seconds of time.

How many will get invited? 12? 100?

How many will get invited? 12? 100?
from the article on the front page

This year’s competition has some slightly complicated rules but in essence it’s pretty simple. You’ll need to be one of the top ten eligible drivers — 18 years of age or older (21+ in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates) — in one of the 66 territories to qualify through the online time trial. This is also limited to one person per country.

A further ten players from an additional 73 countries will be directly selected by their representative motorsport organizing bodies (though it’s not clear how these will be whittled down), with the 20 finalists racing in a live pre-qualifying event in Singapore for 11 finals spots. They’ll be joined by a driver selected by Motorsport Singapore for a 12-player final.
