Reason I ask is that I'm installing the patch for TDU2 (picked up today, pre-owned) and it taking for-bloody-ever!

I've no clue at all why its taking sooo long, its only 257mb

I'm going to reboot my modem and router before the race, and clear my PS3 cache because something is clearly up

Some advice, get in when the room opens (1 hour now exactly). I have a slew of new entries and some people who haven't turned up for a while should be in. So get in, or you might just miss out 👍

Usually I'm able to maintain my pace with this car during the races, but I haven't qualified on the front row this season at all.

You'll get used to the pace in round 1 and then probably start at the front race 2 so you'll be fine.

Let me explain what was happening to me tonight: the screen froze. Not as in that the image on the screen was stuck to a single frame, but as in that the countdown timer stopped with 17 seconds remaining. I received no notification of who was leading with one lap left, and I couldn't see the results at the end of the race. To top it all off, in race 1 I had to race without a speedometer, meaning that I had to remember my braking points and I had to listen to my engine to know when to shift up.

Can I just take a moment to apologize for my appalling driving tonight and my stupid momentary lapses of concentration, I really would love to race at Tskuba as it's one of my favourite tracks and I always run well there, but I realise that's not going to happen
