The times mentioned were done in online lounge, kind of important as the Honda especially is completely different from offline, and a tune is necessary. Otherwise it just handles like a truck.

See, that is insanely fast. It took me half an hour to get a 1:33.6 in a car I'm familiar with, and just had some minor tuning to do and you go beat it by 1.4 seconds in the blink of an eye. Ah well, you're tyres will go away on you.:P

 It probably helps that Laguna Seca is my favourite track, thats the reason I opened this thread as I fancied a race at my favourite track!

Just done a 10 lap stint and I'm averaging about 131.6s, which my tyres were lighting up a few times so I need to ease of about half a second a lap and I should be able to conserve tyres.

Are you still using a DS3 Ak?

1:29.898 with a tune but suffering bad understeer in turn 5. Going to see what its like over a 9 lap stint now. See how much tyres are left

Edit: Done a bit of playing with the Mazda 6, deciding I'm going to use this as I can't get rid of the understeer in the Honda and its absolutely killing my tyres!

I'm slower with the Mazda but at least I'm not wondering if I push harder am I going to end up in the barriers , got a setup I'm happy with so I'm good and ready :D

Looking forward to the race!

129's hell is it worth turning up!!!!:scared:

1'29s? I'm barely able for 1'32s!

I'm not going to be able to get the times jamie c is getting and beating akmuq is going to hard if he's getting 31s with a wheel. A depressing end to my season.

Furi, you have to really throw the car into the corner, almost like you're drifting, I'm not sure what will happen in the BMW, a rear wheel drive.

Honda seems to get understeer through turn 5, why am I getting very twitchy through there? Probably to stiff and running it right on the ground.

I need to get out and practice this afternoon if I'm to avoid another nightmare like I had at Indy

I have plenty of info here re: laptimes, thanks for sharing lads 👍

Is this 1:29 done with the Integra at 1100kg and 276hp?

Yea, following all the guidelines in the OP.

Were your times set with tyre and fuel depletion on or off? I was practising with it off which is when I set that time. When I turned tyre and fuel on to try for tyre where I was only able to do a 1:32.3.

Now I hope I'm not really gonna be left on anyone's way, since my cornering is mostly terrible. This round might go as badly as Tsukuba did... :scared:

My 1:32.6 was the 6th consecutive lap so tyre wear won't be an issue, not to find 3 more tenths.:dopey:

Not as far ahead as we thought then, still quicker but not by as much.

Yea :) I don't like running away with wins, defeats the purpose. Hope I can have a good battle with you all! Also I'm now using the Mazda which I'm slightly slower in so all your worrys may rest

Need to try dealing with the tyre wear better. I tried your set up akmuq but I find it a little understeery(not sure if that's word but oh well) although I might give it a go again. The tyres last longer than at monaco so I may do better than I was expecting.

Can't get rid of the understeer in the Honda. So many times when I was pushing harder trying for a faster lap I just understeered into the gravel. It feels as if your driving well within your ability and not pushing it to the max because you can't.

Probably just needs a better setup tbh but I'm much preferring the way the Mazda drives.

That's what I hate about the Honda here. At the two right handers 3 and 4 it just understeers and you don't know when the you can get fully on the power. It's hard to throw into the corner but is better than the Lexus whic is why I use it.

I'm nowhere in the Mazda, a 1.35.xxx is my best lap :grumpy:

When I tune 4WD, I set all the torque to the rear wheels, like 70-30, maybe try that?

I think I really will struggle at this one...

Did you take my advice of throwing it into the corners? It's all about momentum at this track and the apex of corners isn't super-important, take advantage of the camber.

For example, turn 3 I tap the brakes early, downshift, turn, and then full-throttle before I hit the apex.
Turn 4 I just lift the throttle and get on the power early as well.
The second last turn, I brake and downshift, then full-throttle through the turns.

You really need to get on the power early through the turns. Also, it is a brilliant way of overtaking/defending.

I overtook Jamie at the Corkscrew earlier.:)

Having real bad connection issues at the mo so wont be driving tonight,But goodluck all and someone try and stop DK!!lol
