I personally think qualifying should be five minutes with the exception of the nordschleife as it makes it more exciting. You've got one lap with everyone else trying to find room too. You may get two laps if you're luck on some tracks but it's unlikely most of the time.

Norschleife is exempt. Two laps of that is 20 minutes and a whole race distance essentially.

We'll test the formats in the off-season, how about that?

Sounds *food but i'm not bothered either way with qualifying. It was juat a suggestion and i'm happy if the majority are happy.
*good

CHampionship Standings to come. As we draw to the close of the first full Season of TOCA (Season 1 was cut by PSN), what have you guys thoughts been? Your memories, best and worst moments?

For me:

Memories: Monza, my god 7 cars covered by two seconds? Those races were immense and some of the maddest of all time...

Best: Winning at Madrid... and getting consistent.

Worst... Madrid. Horror show for TOCA. Nurburgring... 35 seconds a lap slower???!?!!!. Laguna Seca R1... BMW Boat anyone?

I bet the standings are gonna be hard to make, because there was definitely a lot of position changes back in Laguna :dopey:

I've only done some races, but there's still stuff to tell:

Memories: 3rd race at Indy, just unbelievable battling for victory. I remember how I passed 3 cars at once from the outside on the main straight, it was really close.

Best: Winning at Indy's 4th race after a successful breakaway, and later claiming a podium from Laguna Seca as well.

Worst: Tsukuba round as a whole, but definitely THE worst was getting hit because of lag in Laguna Seca and losing all the chances...

All done with ease, they were finished by 10pm on Saturday. Just not had time to upload them yet... :dopey:

Best: I enjoyed race 2 monza going from the back to 2nd or 3rd
Worst: Getting hit a lot and forgetting to save the replay of my podium :(.

Memories: Has to be those overtakes I made at Monaco and epic battles with RacerPaul, especially the overtake around the outside of the chicane.

Best moment: Rescuing the Honda at the Nurburgrig when it could have been a flop, getting pole position at Monaco, getting the race win at Laguna

Worst moment: Madrid races, massive pile-up at Monaco

That track-blocking wreck? That was mad, just tyre smoke and drivers going through the smoke...

Its been a good season overall. My best moment would have to be at Madrid, avoiding all the mayhem and a nutter coming the wrong way also winning 2 of the races. Worst moment would be only doing 2 races at Tsukuba (one of my favs) and doing 4 races at Indy (one of my worst). Also loved Monaco with all that close racing, swaping places and battling. Bring on Season 3!

Monaco was good for me too. I was happy before the race as I got a good time but I couldn't beat that later as I was having my dinner throughout most of qualifying. It was nice to be in a competitive car for once however after lap 5 I began to realise what everyone meant by awful tyre wear on the Honda.

Race 3 at Monaco I had a terrible start and was put down to last so I was playing catch-up the whole race, and that's when I got around the outside of RP, he bet me by something like one-hundthreth of a second before it.:)

Best: a 4-podium streak at Indy
Meh: winning the title by coming 8th
Worst: Madrid, black screen glitch at Monaco, Laguna Seca

I'm up for some practice tonight if people want? I will set to NGTC regulations if people would want to practice for that instead. However, I'm not sure if Nurburgring GP/D will be in Season 3 so it may be pointless.

Sure, it gives me something to do while I wait for the final round of the WSCC VW Golf RM series.

Memories: Leading for the first lap at Laguna Seca, making some fantastic starts in the Mazda from the back of the grid to go as high as 7th place by the first corner 👍

Best: Winning the first test race (Yes, i'm bloody proud of that!) and finishing my first race, they're pretty much my highlights of the whole season, not impressive i'm aware...

Worst: Accidentally starting the race at Monaco :banghead:. Being far too inconsistent, I must work on this for season 3!

I'm going to add test race wins to my best memories. 1 second up in qualifying for Grand Valley East Reverse testing is now the highlight of my toca career :)

CHAMPIONSHIP STANDINGS

Driftking is 65 ahead with 60 points available.

Hmmm.... I wonder if I can jump Dan at the ring?
I need 12 points from 4 races which is 3 a race so I will need to be 2 places ahead each race.

I've got sights on 4th or 3rd this weekend. It's a BMW track and I'm going for broke... The finale for the old cars, going to be good!

Memories: The Honda Integra, miss that car lol
Good: A strong start on Monaco R3
Bad: DKs rear ending's/lag & dirty dives on Seca (R3 was the worst one) & Madrid, as a whole.
