IRT confirm change to Volvo
Season 6 newcomers Invicta Racing Team are to change cars from the Honda CR-Z to the Volvo C30-R. The change comes after TOCA's final Pre-Season test, earlier on today whereby Brooks ran both the Honda and Volvo at the Indianapolis Road Course. He later released a statement regarding the sudden change.

"The reason we have decided to change from the Honda to the Volvo was not one that came lightly. We have had a great relationship with Honda and I cannot thank them enough for the effort that they have put in to provide us with two CR-Z's in such a short space of time. Unfortunately, the spare parts shortage that has ruled us out of Round 1 would have continued throughout the season as Honda are mainly focusing their efforts on Pirtek Racing. I therefore made the decision to test my RPM Volvo from last season at a private test and again this evening at TOCA's final pre-season test which led to me proposing the idea to Alex and he duly agreed. Volvo have also agreed to provide us with the parts needed for the entire season however we still be absent at Motegi as we have not made the entry list in time."​
