How should pre-qualifying be for TOCA7?

  • Keep the TOCA6 Quali Race format, it's fine.

  • Run a regular quali session instead for positions 13 downwards.

That precious teams' championship will always belong to DBC despite R35's disqualifications and Nel's general lack of interest in participating :)

lol, how did we end up 1-2 in the championship, but we got like 0 points from R1?

 Just doing tables for TOCA6, Neljack had he participated in every race would probably be second in the table. If he'd raced for Pepsi rather than independents they would have halved the gap by around 130 points.

Mini is currently at 960 / 970 (can't remember exactly) kilograms, would you agree with it getting weight stage 3? It would need a little ballast to bring it to 900kg though.

Give the Mini no weight reductions and 100 ballast, then force Spurgy to use it next season.

Did a testing today at Cape South. (all cars except the Infiniti due to sudden Family visit)

Results and little comment:

Mini ---> 1:21.040 // for me maybe high 20´s possible but was already at my maximum. Mini has so little power at topend only did 205kph at end of straight
=> weight changes can´t help her getting faster plus you have to short-shift a bit to get more acceleration.
For low speed Tracks she is fine but at Monza/Fuji/Spa/Indy she gets annihilated (IMHO)

Swift ---> 1:21.587 // low 21´s would be my maximum for her. 216kph at end of straight and fastest Car for me though. Only 5 gears and tricky handling plus Understeer and too much poowweerr which she can´t handle (my opinion)

Honda ---> 1:21.301 // probably a luck lap from me couldn´t match the Time again. Maybe dead 21´s for me with more setup time input.

Mazda ---> 1:20.849 // probably I can shave off a few tenths but drives ok for me.

VW ---> 1:20.776 // Very fast, easy to drive and almost no understeer. Could be my number two pick after the Infi Concept. First FWD pick by far though.

Audi ---> 1:21.047 // Although no torque splitter very little understeer. Drives good and off the line probably hard to beat because AWD ;)

BMW ---> 1:21.327 // Although the highest amount of PL usage I can´t get her to pace. Smooth through turns but where is the Power ?? only 206 kph at end of straight. Well again a no pick for me maybe it´s just me.

I will test the Infi at Cape too but at the moment my suggestion would be slow down the VW and the Mazda a bit to get them closer together.
And If you struggle with Tire-Wear your Settings are a bit weak and you´ll need a tweak ;)

Don't mean to burst your bubble but in S4.2, 295bhp cars (No LSDs and no tyre wear and no ABS and RH tyres) my pole time was a 1:19.8. So I would rekon times to be 18s/19s atleast with 10 bhp more and RMs with tyre wear on.

Don't mean to burst yours but we had an update recently that totally changed physics.
