How should pre-qualifying be for TOCA7?

  • Keep the TOCA6 Quali Race format, it's fine.

  • Run a regular quali session instead for positions 13 downwards.

I like Cape Ring South and I've grown to like Autumn Ring. Clubman Stage Reverse I hate with a passion. Blind corners at night just calls for carnage. Doesn't help that I'm really bad at it. The standard "forward" version I find slightly better, mainly because of the fast entry into the long tunnel-corner (which is totally ruined by running it in reverse).

Sorry, did I interrupt the bashing of unfinished specs?

I would suggest running a couple more tests and see where we end up. Everyone's got a point. In the end, it's laptimes that count though, and we'll see those only when enough people give the cars a go with different setups. Best example is me and the Honda - I just can't make that work, but some people can.

For now, from my point of view, we already have Mazda, BMW, Infiniti and apparently Honda on similar speeds ... I'm pretty sure there's a way VW and Audi can be spec'd so they can compete, and we'll see about the Suzuki and Mini. But even there you could take more weight out, if necessary.

So, let's not jump to conclusions just yet, it's a little earlier to be at each other's throat already.

Agreed on specs. And its better they get sorted before the season so there's no bitching from drivers.

What happened to just racing on real tracks Furry?

I want to turn TOCA in 2013 into more of a driver-shaped series, hence the return of old tracks, and there increased involvement in tech specs.

I only dislike Fuji but thats because Thilke killed the Track respectively ate its Soul !

You probably know the GT4 80´s and 90´s laouts ??
Well those Tracks where awesome !!

Rest of the scedule fits the Specs of them Cars or are just a must have (Monza and Spa).
Motegi full would probably be a dream for me though but two DLC Tracks is a little bit to much (many peoples don´t have all DLC´s respectively any DLC).

Calendar is cool for me.

Specs:
Well the straightline tests are a good base routine. You can see which car is good//bad and can re-spec them and fastly compare them again.
But all cars should get the exact same Tranny setting => you kill the "Fitting-Tranny-variable" (hope you know what I mean).

And after that doing some Laps at technical Tracks (Suzuka, Autumn Ring, GVS, Motegi Full//- East) atleast 20-30 laps per Car with various types of setting changes to get the max out of every car.
And after that compare them times and change the specs again.
(That would be my way of doing it).

Furi released the specs this early so WE can do the fine tweakings with him
=> all cars will be roughly close together and can be Title candidates for S7
(My Interpretation)

And btw S7 won´t start in a few days => plenty of time left to fit them cars together 👍

Fuji 80s......

I loved that track, and it would have been awesome for Group C series. However a version of the old original layout would have been even better. :D

I found the reason for being so slow in the Honda. Wait for it.....

I forgot to change to Racing Mediums.

2 Big 👍👍, I believe you guys have the longest running series to date so far, great job fellas! :sly:

TOCA6 Champions RPM are pleased to announce Spurgy will continue to partner Furinkazen in TOCA7  :gtpflag:

After seeing the tyre wear tonight at Indy I think we should stick with hard tyres.

I think it will be fine, if you're worried about understeer, mediums after 12 laps will probably still grip better than hards :P

 get a proper team and a good car. And you may have a slim chance.

Thats not whats boring. It's the fact it feels like a sunday driver not on the edge like the faster cars in the game.

Sports tyres would just make it worse for fwd drivers. We may not move to mediums next season.

I think the move to Mediums would be excellent to the next season, but there might be some others that don't agree though.

To say the truth, I'm leaning towards the BMW for TOCA7, but it's torque problem it's something keeping me away from it for now...

Issue with Mediums is that tyre wear will be even more biased in favour of RWD's and the 4WD's.

Indy Road looks set to take the spot for next season.

FEKC TO RETURN

FEKC, the team who won the Drivers championship in season 5 with Spurgy, have returned to the TOCA scene. The team has come back together, and it is the two drivers from season 5, with Spurgy the team #1 and kartman as his #2. This is a recreation of season 4.2 all over again, as many driver changes took place behind backs, and the same has happened here. FEKC will use the Infiniti Coupe, hoping to return the success the brand enjoyed in 4.2 whilst under the TC outfit.
