Dax, yes the Mazda has the worst tyre wear, but it's not that much worse than the rest. Mazda was at about 40-50% tyres(40% only being Snow), the Infiniti and BMW were at about 60-70% and the rest were all around 50-60%. And IMO it's the fastest car out there on new tyres. And besides, you can't complain about a car you picked, you should have tested it before hand, if you didn't like it then you could have picked another one.
Also, from what I remember last season, the Mazda and Volvo have exactly the same tyre wear, if anything the Volvo had more :sly:

I think you are about a week or two late. I wasn't even talking about the tyres.

Anyway, I fear myself and Furi have derailed the thread.

I will leave you guys to your 'racing'.

I haven't even got round to commenting on the driving yet  In fact, I'm going to make a list of people who drove reasonably well because the list of bad drivers was too long looking at the replays :(

Well, I had to choose the Mazda because the BMW had all the places picked.. Even though I had announced at the end of S6 that I would run one...

But I knew beforehand that I would have to play with tyre wear.. and Dax, DS3 users like me suffer a lot more with the tyre wear than the wheel users.. I could've kept up with you at AR in R1 if my tyre wear hadn't kicked in and made me go to grass..

I'm going to be missing the next 2 weekends. I'll be back for Indy. Good luck to all competitors.

Can we see the list:-)

Same!:D

But yeah, as Furi's been saying, TOCA's clean, they've just a few bad eggs, shame that's the majority really.
I see what you did there, using eggs in your serious sentence. Someone's letting the egg get to their head.
I have some popcorn.

*eating popcorn*
Well aren't you sad, only guy eating popcorn while the rest us have Creme Eggs. Shame on you.

From my view Mini is fastest both over a lap and a distance, due to it's low tyre wear. The Minis speed and acel are very good too as I showed in AR for my one off, contrary to what Furi thought..

Volvo was much faster than the Mazda last season, the update screwed the Mazdas handling.. Also that impacted on the Mazda having the worst tyre wear but on RH and normal wear theres little tyre wear anyway so would be hard to notice.

I think we have two completely different driving styles, because I find the Mini horrible to drive, it's not smooth at all and just jumps around everywhere  And from my tests the Volvo was only 0.2 seconds faster than the Mazda on an average length track.

Ofcourse we do, I adore FFs and suck in Rwds, or ain't as fast relative to others when in Rwds than FFs.

I like to have my FFs on the brink of spinning even when on full throttle, or near it atleast. It's how they do in real life too ;). You seen the clear pace the Mini had from my demontration. After the update even with the most sideways of tunes the Mazda would just plow straight on, on RH.. (RMs it's alot better but at the cost of tyre wear)

I found .3 or so on small tracks and over .5 on bigger ones. :indiff: Then the Volvo would do faster laps for longer than the Mazda barely even droping past it's best lap..

That's my testing take as you will. (RH had little to no tyre wear for me, in Volvo, so over 10 laps or so has little affect on my times)

I will put yesterday into my normal drawer for every Fuji race I ever had.

Seriously there where too many runoff-ers yesterday. Some did it super often and almost consistantly.
I do had some runoffs too but I think at a reasonable amount.
In addition due to the wideness of the Track people overrace the Track and brake far too late.
I got late-d-bombed veeery often and sometimes from 2 at the same time !!
I like it hard but hey respect has to be there too.
That´s why I parked at R3.
I could have finished it but my anger-meter was filled.

Espacially by Smuffy.

But I move on and looking forward to Spa.

BTW: Sorry for the R2 start incident couldn´t do much about it (was it lag ??). I´ll take a penalty for that (although it was mild; almost no one got badly hit by me ??)

Those tweaks are BS.
Not everybody is PM or Spurgy. Why slower the Mini ??
You want them FWD´s faster than the RWD´s and now you slower them ??

Will accept this but I will protest !!

ECU affects the straights, we did same with the Honda for this season.

Not overaly happy about this, we knew this at the start of the season, could have been done quite easily then, sorry Furi 👎

Whats wrong with boosting a couple slower cars and taking away the fastest cars edge?

It's what people have been asking for since after Cape!

Great, so Spurgy can run away even quicker? :grumpy:

Infiniti is a freaking slug on a straightaway. Spurgy's an alien and ridiculously quick. If Spurgy was in an Audi would you be complaining then?

Eh? Thats not what I was implying

I was implying these changes should have been done way before now, mid point in the season. It was obvious the BMW's/Infiniti's were lacking power, for example.

At least I might get set-up help from him.
