Hi Seido, Alleycat told me about this last night.
I'd like to be on the grid please.
My Caterham will be British Racing Green.
I can get the track for practice from Alleycat.
I'm in the UK but my schedule's pretty flexible so long as it's between 2pm and 4am ish GMT.
Many thanks, Jim.

MorphicJim is my PSN name.

Oh, didn't see page two and the time now set.
AEDT wasn't an option on my timezone converter but 6.30pm looks to be around 8.30am here, which is too early for me!!

Cool, for now I'll put you on the reserves list.
You can DL the track from me. I'm not sure if alley has it set to share at the moment, he may still have another one of my tracks shared.

And yes, the time hasn't been decided yet.

Thanks.

Thanks Seido, the reserve list will have to do!....I can't let anyone down by being unable to race at breakfast time from there!!
I did get the track, NFS S2 (that's with the newly narrowed section?), from Alleycat and did a good few laps with him on it last night. Good track. What kind of lap times are people getting?

Yea, I did a quick burst 3 laps the other night, big spin on the second lap, hit the dirt when I ran wide going over the left hand crest at the start of the course lol was cool but I won't be doing that in the race!
THe 3rd lap was the quickest, 3:25.XXX. I'm pretty sure I can be 1-2 secs quicker...but anyhow I'm not in it to be the quickest, I just want a good, clean and fun race.

I might try with ABS off. That may change the handling of the car for the better...

That turn is tough. The car just gets too light to take it flat out. Its fun though.

I've been meaning to revisit no abs, I run that way in the other games I play. Too bad my g27 didn't have ffb in the brake pedal too.

TeamSousa and I did a little fuel consumption and tire wear testing. No need to refuel, but a pit for tires will be necessary. I might be able to make a set of hards last, but I doubt it.

I can't seem to get the back end right on this car. The rear tires wear 2 to 3 times faster than the front (the wear is almost even enough for the type of car), and it always seems to want to step out on the longer corners. It would be easy to fix with the lsd, but I'd rather fix it with the suspension. (Obviously we can't use the lsd anyway.) That will be my project for this friday.

I managed a 3:19 (after about 30 laps!), but if I race I think I'll be trying to make a set of softs last 11 laps, which would make 3:19s inadvisable methinks.

Yep, discovered the hard way that you can't go flat out through that first left over the crest.

Re. the back end. I've ended up, so far, with very little or zero camber on the rear wheels...but I think you'll never really tame the Caterham...Alleycat has a secret he may share!!

Deffo abs off, you can check your tyre wear with careful braking then too.

It definitely is a tricky car to tune, but so much fun to drive. Great track too. I really hope we pull this race off.

I've been playing project cars too, the caterham is my favorite car to drive in it also, although it is a different model.

This race will for sure go ahead in March. I hope all who are interested can make the grid on race day!

Looking forward to it!

*I better go run some night laps... and test with no ABS and cockpit cam!

Just finished a night prac session, alleycat joined for a few laps.

3:15.2XX. ABS off and cockpit view.

Can everybody post their prefered time for the race please?(weekend) We need to get the ball rolling on times.

Thanks.

Anytime between 9pm Friday and 1am Saturday is best for me. PST time.
