Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2025

Another new team has been announced.

Their name is "K-uicks."
As the name suggests, they are a team with a strong passion for Kei cars, and are characterized by a large number of female members.
However, they seem to be fast enough to fend off the racers who underestimated them because they are women.
They are a completely new team that will appear in the series for the first time in TXR2025.
They are rivals to RATT, and will they become a fearsome team driving sleepers like the M/R in TXR3?

It's also interesting that they continued to introduce teams that feature specific categories of cars, like Rhythm Box (Wagon/Minivan) and K-uicks (Kei Car).

Perhaps the next introduction will feature a team that features VIP sedans, like Max Racing?

Full of K cars ? Gonna be easy wins if we could just punted them around

We don't know what kind of team they'll be, or what the tuning system for the TXR2025 will be, but let's not forget that one of the fastest tuned cars in the TXR3 was a Cappuccino with an I6 Turbo swap...🧐
Just joking, but I actually didn't know that.

Usually the boss or the wanderer would be fast though as opposed to the normal members.

Also I notice that K-uicks has a ferret in their logo, and ferrets are known for aggressively hunting down rodents like rat(t)s. That detail alone tells me that their rivalry isn't going to be a friendly one.
Subtle in a way you'd completely miss it.

Like how Speedbox has the Honda "H" in his logo.

Cappuccino with an I6 Turbo swap...
Oh the Europa can out accel even the AI's boost quirks in SB01 there. The FD being one of the fastest too, can name a few that are better than the Cappu, but gotta dig more into that game. I completed most of the Rival Data in Kaido Battle 3 at least.

New Rival Announced: Melancholy Angel.

I don't need to explain anything more about her to you readers of this thread. I'm sure you all know her well.

But what I'm wondering about is that she is described as "once" being a member of the Thirteen Devils.

I thought TXR2025 was a reboot title, but in this new timeline, the Thirteen Devils have already been defeated by someone and disbanded?

Phantom 9 perhaps? 🧐

It felt more like a new title, they didn't forget what happened in ITC I believe so maybe it'd be the Player who defeated everyone in TXR3 or the ITC protagonist there. Really hard to tell as the lore is biiiiig thing in the series. So maybe there's some new group that's bosses?

Good to see her back. She was always a tough opponent to beat. Maybe either she's in a new team of strong bosses or has become a wanderer. I wonder if they will return to car reveals.

As for Melancholy Angel, will she use the RX-8 or return to use the Silvia S15?

Snake Eyes was the protagonist of TXR3.

Damn, didn't know she has orange eyes.

We want to make guesses about how many rivals and what all roads we'll get to run on?
Best case scenario they'll be using Wangan Midnight PS3's map, judging from the images it looks a lot more prettied up from the early screenshots.

This is good news for people in America, but frustrated news for us in Japan.🤣
Genki/TXR will be participating as a sponsor of FuelFest in Scottsdale.
It's unclear what they'll do at this venue, but I'm sure something good will happen.

This can be inferred from the difference in tweeting frequency between the official Japanese and English TXR accounts, but Genki seems concerned that TXR has become a forgotten series overseas.
Their activities are likely an effort to get people to recognize TXR again.

But...as a Japanese person, I'd like to see them come to Japanese car shows like Tokyo Auto Salon too!

I think it is the first time Genki doing something as big as this though all things considered. As far back as I can remember especially in the United States they didn't do much here for marketing. Since Fuelfest is a huge event that'll draw in a lot more eyes to it as far as US goes, which is great new or old fans get to see it. Though in Japan seeing that Hiace might be an interesting way to advertise a game too even, maybe that's what they'll do in the states as well? Maybe it's part of the merch thing as well too? Hard to say on that sadly, but progress is progress when you want to make the game to succeed at least.

All I can hope for that it all goes well for them.

New Rival Revealed: Rolling Guy No.1
He's a regular rival in the TXR series that we all know well, but there's one thing to note about this announcement.
He's being introduced as if he's a Wanderer.

Is the Rolling Guy disbanded?

Or has he handed the team over to a new generation of Rolling Guy using GR86s and BRZs, and become a Wanderer like his brother?

Or is there a gimmick where by beating him, he'll leave the Rolling Guy and become a Wanderer, like OG Rolling Guy No.1 (Rolling Master)?

The mystery only deepens, but let's be grateful to see our old friend again, and that his partner is still an AE86!

All of them are equally plausible. Given the team's history and how some of the members were described it could have just fallen apart, leaving only the leader to roam the highway alone.

Or perhaps the team moved on without him because he didn't want to upgrade to a newer car, but they separated on good terms and he keeps the Rolling Guy #1 name as a tribute to the team's past.

Or maybe he does originally stay with the team and uses a newer car at first, but after they're beaten he decides that car is inferior and goes back to his old AE86, which has been turned into an absolute monster, intent on personally settling the score with the player.

Personally I kinda like the third option, since opponents eventually switching to more powerful vehicles after you've beaten them would add a whole new dynamic and encourage challenging already defeated teams again.
