Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2025

My brother who is a fan of the Daihatsu Copen wanted to buy the special model of the wanderer "Trance Drive" which has 204hp. It is in fact equipped with custom parts together with a custom tune.

Bonus: You can't sell special custom cars.

Fun little fact about Trance Drive. Look at the engine in her car.

While you're at it? Look at Bloodhound's engine too. I feel like thats a little something something down the pipeline don't you think? :sly:

Fun fact: People mention if you signal which route you're going to take with your turn signals, it reduces the AIs urge to draw. Haven't tried it myself yet.

Best of use of the meme I have seen in ages

The turn signal seems to be a hit and miss judging by those who have tried it.
I personally never used it or tried in previous games either.

My advice in 1 area is if you are racing a rival coming off the Hakosaki-Edobashi JCT (area to the top right of C1), stay left to go onto the Outer Loop.

From my experience, the rivals in the faster cars will carry too much speed through here & naturally flow out to the left ending in a draw. You can try to use it to your benefit and see if they try to come back right, hitting the median & resulting in a guaranteed win. But, the faster rivals aren't worth risking a draw over that because then you have to start the whole battle over.

On the other side, it also helps to factor in a group's preferred area. I drew a battle to one of the Rolling Gals because she didn't want to take the exit off the C1 loop to Edobashi. I've had this happen 2 other times, so I figure it's an intentional design that group members will stick to their territories. Maybe this was a thing with past games, & my memory just doesn't remember.

Signals have worked pretty decently since TXR0. It should work here, but there's issue of rivals teleporting in the wrong places when you do that least from what I heard, but I have used it in TXR'25 and it indeed does work especially since now that teams don't roam in a certain area now you might want to use your signals.

@Tornado Unfortunately it has to be the Z33 specifically.

Having the same sort of confusion with Unbalanced Ishii. Says no aero parts (I think?), but people say at least 1 aero part. Tried both, neither worked.

I love it.

I've already seen Ryan Cooper's 240SX, some people making their own real life S chassis cars too thanks to the custom decal thread on Steam.

Now cue the FnF Supra annnnnnnnnnd r34
If only this game livery editor had at least the body paint mode from 3 and the community livery feature from nfs heat. I'd say that this is one of the weaker points about this game. Lucky for them, this is early access and everything else is very good.

So, I'm nearing the end of the early access playthrough, and I'm pleasantly surprised by the sheer amount of lore this game actually has.

We know through dialogue in the PA areas that Speed King and Snake Eyes are ultimately going to have some sort of score to settle, other former 13 devils / zodiacs make their appearances as well.

A lot of the OG teams have had changes of the guard, some old rivals become wanderers.

You'd think that a racing game couldn't have backstories between installments, but here we are.

Not to mention, some of those PA dialogues are full of references, and some are just downright hilarious.

I think the guy who shared the Cookie Monster on his Suzuki has a tutorial out showing how to get custom liveries into the game, so even if the in-game's is lacking, it looks like folks will still be able to "create" exactly what they want.

Additionally, mod support for the game is showing up on Nexus already. Game saves mostly, but there is an Initial D livery & some graphics-based mods.

Have not verified, but I think it’s the exact opposite of ‘no aero’ -> full aero. The description is wrong but the dialog was correct if I read correctly.

I got a feeling that Dejected Angel was supposed to be the final boss.
If you look how powerful that car is and also, how every part is unlocked after defeating Cinderella Past Midnight.
BTW, I want my NASCAR V8 Supra swap like in the opening.

Has anyone tried to put the Toyota Dnya in the game yet?

There's this tutorial that shows how you do it:
