W00T! Crappy but IMO very good for a first vector, or is it a vexel?

But, how can you make the difference between the 2?

BTW: .star, I just realised that Lexus was made by Wald Intern. what an awesomly sexy car

Moglet gave a great explanation between vexels and vectors:
http://vexels.net/what.php

What is the difference between vector and vexel?
That is like comparing apples to.. elephants. Vector is a type of art, it doesn't have to look like anything in particular. Just like "painting" doesn't have to look like anything in particular, it is just a medium. Vexels on the other hand are a style of art.

Vector uses mathematical equations to create lines and shapes in images, it allows the shapes to be resized as much as needed without losing any quality.
Raster on the other hand works in pixels, when resized the image pixellizes and loses quality as shown to the right.
In all, working in vector has it’s advantages but vexels can be created in either vector or raster format since the process and result is significantly similar.

Here is an update on mine, I just finished drawing out the dress which took hours!

Finished!

One last question, I'm working with PS but when I want to draw a wheel but only half the wheel comes out of the arches, how can I draw the wheel as round as possible and still keep that half out of it?

Thanks for all the help guys, everyone of you

If it were me, I would draw a total circle on a layer above the bodywork and then edit and add the anchor points manually. But that's just me.

Looks good Bram, I love the bodywork. There are a few wobbly lines dotted about but that's to expected on your first proper go. 👍

hello! man i really; really, really need to finish my Supra. I work on the PC all day, so when i get home the last thing i want to do is to be on the PC. i feel like i waste all my creative energy at work and when i get home i just want to chill. Anyone else have a similar problem, or has had and got over it. Maybe i should just stop being creative at work :dopey:

lol, depends. i work with computers all day too designing sites, print ads, etc. but its a real estate company so when i get the chance to work on stuff i just HAVE TO cause of the drag of doing boring real estate work.:dunce:

yea, i can see how that could be a plus, but i work at something like a kinko's, but i only do computer work, creating banners, outdoorsigns, redrawing crappy logos and so on. i "waste" my energy on that, but today i saved a little for this:

update.

what you guys think

First one is just Gaara; most of the line-art done & colored. Second one is added photoshop effects, like the brushed sand and text. I couldnt think of a decent background; so i just faded it from deep red to 'sand'. I'm putting this both in the Vector and Photoshop sections, because Gaara himself is Vector, the sand/text are photoshop. Brushed btw.

Wow, some impressive work has been done in here recently. I've got some free time I might try to throw at a little thing I've been working on for the past year.

its supposed to be a UTE; i didnt put the inner wheel-wells; a detail i simply forgot about; but i drew up a sketch; and used photoshop to render:

Finally I have something new to show :

Lamborghini Reventon

&

TechArt Porsche 997 Turbo

Currently working on the Reventon. I feel like I have lost everything I knew about vectoring considering how long I haven't completed a piece. Not really happy with how both of the vectors are progressing...

seeing all these, i'm thinking of giving it a try myself.
But don't know if i have the patience and skill to make one.
Is ps good enough for making vectors/vexels, or is it easier with illustrator?

You really don't need Illustrator IMO, it might be easier but if you see what Dangeruss does with Adobe PS CS2....Then there's no point of switching, if you haven't already have either of them that is...
