Hey, thought i'd have a go at this because i felt it was right up my alley (needed the practise with illustrator anyway)

Yea, the grooves in the tyre have just been added and yea i may change the tire's look if once i get closer to finishing the colourin and the tyres look crap LOL.

As for colours, i am currently trying to decide. Because i have the following colours in mind: red (of course LOL), a light blue/ grey colour, a dark green and finally i am considering the orange , because it seems like it would suit it well...

@ Drifter_Dan: Not bad at all. but it's pretty messy in places. Such as lines that are suppossed to be parellel are not and it really removes a lot of impact from the neatness of the rest of the pic. i.e. the two lines above the mazda logo and the lines above the right headlight and to the left of the grille at the base of the front bumper. But nice try, lets see it coloured 👍

@ Stumpy: Nice man. Colouring looks cool. Is the rest of the car supposed to be blue too, or just the top of it?

Keep in mind that the tan background is to offset the white of the body.

Post the finished product tomorrow or later this weekend.

this is a car that i've spent about a year refining, i dunno what it is i like about it so much.. but i do, and this was first drawn by hand.. over& over & over again, then today, i digitised it & put in into flash & tooned it..

It's brown! Hmm a change of colour would look much better Also the difference between the shades is pretty small, so getting brighter highlights and darker shades would look cool. Nice choice of car though, and it is looking pretty decent aside from the brown

Hahahaha ! Loud and clear, going to change it now.


Note to self : Do not use brown.


But what programs do you use ? My doesn't even look half as sharp as yours ?

I just use Photoshop. i think the mixture of brown and the lack of contrast in the shading makes it look a little dull. The rest of it looks good, so i think once the colours change it should look a whole lot better.

lol the brown is pr0..its just a little dull. Um..try adding a bit of red(not too much or else it will be orangy) to it to give it a little more color because right now it looks flat. And as DB said, strenthen the lights and darks.
