I tried man, but the short gearbox ratios didn't help its top speed, but they did help at Tsukuba so I can't bitch too much. (but with the power it has, it should be capable of a higher top speed)

Awesome thread guys, really entertaining reading and some great ideas. :)
I've run some other cars for your challenges and was surprised that Toyota Corolla '02 would have been the dominant car for Hot Hatch competition.

This looks great, I'm going to join in the next challenge.

Edit: I could run the next challenge if no one else wants to.

^Have you got something lined up? I've got my computer sorted, and have three more ready to go. Just got to finish reading some of these 20+ tabs I've got open, then sort an appropriate photomode banner.

I've got the main idea, but I need to work on a few things first, so you can go ahead.

I'll participate, nonetheless.

Top Gear Comparason #10: Classic Microcar

img0023b.jpg

Each of you has been given 24,000cr and sent to the 1980's used car lot to find a classic microcar.

Your car should be manufactured in 1989 or earlier, and have a maximum engine size of 1000cc

* You are going to need all the power you can get, so change the oil and make sure any driving aids are switched off right away.

** A small number of suitable cars can be won as prizes. However, consider these as a last resort if you cannot find a used one to buy. Prize cars will be valued at half the usual rate or about 2.35x resale price.

*** Deadlines will be set for each challenge, and I'll be deducting 1 point per hour for anyone that misses a deadline. Consider this the virtual equivalent to points being deducted for breakdowns.

You have 72 hours to find and announce your chosen car(s).

Okay so i got some nice Japanese car. It is called Mitsubishi Minica Dangan ZZ (what a long name :D) it has 548 cc engine which creates 63 HP and 74 NM of torque after an oil change, it weights 640 kilos and it cost me 3,562 cr.

Nope. Those rotaries were the reason for a 24,000cr limit.

It's interesting how everyone up till now has gone for an 80's model when there are much more interesting ones available from the 60's and 70's.

Alright, I'll run the Honda S800 '66.

Car: Honda S800 '66
Type: L4 DOHC
Power: 74BHP (Oiled)
Displacement: 791cc
Weight: 720 kg
Cost: 20,299 Cr.

I'll post a pic tomorrow.

Mostly cause what info I found on the Honda S 00 series said it cost to much as well as a few others. That is why I skipped most of the older ones. I have them, but don't remember what they cost.

The other reason is I've already raced the older ones and most of mine are modfied. Though I do have double and even triples of some of them.

I've just bought a Mitsubishi MINICA DANGAN ZZ for Cr.3,562. It's packing 57hp and 67Nm in a 640kg frame.

EDIT: Just changed the oil for Cr.50, it now has 63hp and 74Nm.

I hate to burst your bubble, Driftking, but Nazii is already using the Minica Dangan.

If you want you can use my Honda S800 if you want, Driftking, as I won't be able to compete this week because I'm going away.

I'll use the Honda Z Act.

Year: '70
Type: L2:SOHC
Drivetrain: FF
Power: 31 (after oil change)
Displacement: 354cc
Weight: 510kg
Cost: 5,529 (was in my garage as 1382 which is consistent with the GT4 car database 5529 list price)
