Grumpy You have won the Top Gear comparo.
Now, For the hardest part, Should I do this again or did it bust?
Well, it's a good concept, but you were kinda winging it as you went, it would go better with distinct rules and direction.
The photo portion kind of killed it's momentum, as we were flying through challenges, one a day, and the photo portion stalled everything. The photo-shoots take a ton of time, and really had little impact on the final standings.
Quite frankly I stole my win, by choosing NOS as one of my part upgrades, but it was the part that would make the biggest impact on a single lap time, with such low powered cars.
The changes I would make the next time around, if there is a next time:
1.) Start with more credits, say 100,000. This would give far more options for nicer cars, and better upgrade options.
2.) disallow NOS as one of the part options.
3.) More challenges and less photos. I think nobody expected a photo portion, like BH-21, and expected all racing, which is what the challenge should be about.
4.) Have all the challenges planned out ahead of time, and a deadline for each posted.
5) The host or a featured driver (possibly the previous winner) handle the control car and times.
Those are just some ideas off the top of my head, to make it run smoother and more orderly.
