Top Gear Test Track in Gran Turismo 5!

i can only find the track in the special events list.

I completed the special event - vw bus on the top gear track, with gold, and it unlocked the track in quick race and arcade

I really wish it had the authentic camera angles during replays of the TG track. It should also have a standing start.

Enjoyed the TGTT so far, but am suprised the 'invisible walls' are so close to the edge of the track.

I know i know, if i could drive properly i wouldnt leave the track...but still!

Man, camper van challenge is hard. I was in 1st, then the green van forced me off at second to last corner. Bastard. Settled for silver in the end in frustration.

Only thing so far in this game that pee'd me off was the first 2 races on the Top Gear test track. First being very boring slow race with the VW van. The 2nd being a (Lotus?) car that has no grip what so ever. Either that or I just suck with that car but anyhow, I did not like those 2 races one bit.

How the hell are people getting into 1st.The best I got was 4th. Seems a stupid of getting the track unlocked.

Also I was going through the Follow Through and the van in front hit a cone then I ran over it and got disqualified.

Just means we will have to decide on what car to use as a reasonably priced car.

Daihatsu sirion 2wd

Best tip for the camper van challenge is not to follow the driving line guide, it tells you to brake/slow when theres really no need. You hardly have to brake at all for most of the corners as the Van appears to be able to turn on a penny!

Only problem i found was getting rammed by the CPU drivers.

The way they turn in the game makes me think they'd realistically topple very easily!

Wasn't there a Top Gear Challenge Trophy when the leaks came out but I saw one for the track.

Do you unlock the Nurburgring by getting a gold on the last AMG challenge in events.

Oh man I actually can't do it, the penalties are so unfair! they all break in a line for hammer head and I can;t get past without being disqualified! It's boring now lol.

This was me too - I am glad I didnt have to do the camper challenge more than once - terrible race. The lotus is at least fun to drive.

Does it unlock the test track for you to practise on normally though?

The intermediate event is damn hard, my best finish is a very close 2nd. Was like 0.1 behind winner, I think rules are a bit strict, I cant use any grass or touch a cone, in that sideways monster this is very important.

No, much of the runway is blocked off. You can only use the part between the hammerhead and the second to last corner. The rest of the runway is blocked off with cement barriers.

You unlock the TG track after the intermediate challenge for it, surely? I got the Nurb after the intermediate series of the AMG challenge...
