More interesting is that the Lacetti takes Chicago faster than a supercar.:ouch:
Hehe, well spotted! It doesn't make sense to me, but maybe because the Lacetti is a far slower car generally, it requires less braking on approach and is therefore more settled through the corner, and with the slower acceleration out of the corner, you can take it slightly faster overall? It might even take a different racing line too, or it could just be a mistake, I know very little about the theory of ideal racing lines and corner speeds and how they would vary from car to car!

The only reason we will beat Lord Stig is because we get a rolling start (ie speed from Gambon)

We need to have a standing start system otherwise the sitg will be too easy to beat

the stig times will be beaten easily because the limits of physics will be pushed beyond where the stig would push them, due to not being able to die or get hurt.

Seeing as PD worked very closely with Top Gear to get the track layout/feel just right. I can't imagine they would not allow a standing start (as it is on the show).

;)

Yeah that's weird:dunce:. But IMO supercars are faster in the exit of the corner. Breaking hard in the entrance, breaking slightly less for the balance, slow on the gas, and going further in the exit to have more speed.

Dude , everyone knows that the Stigmaister can't die ,the DeathReaper himself is afraid of him after they were in a fistfight 13 years ago

Can anyone identify where this is?

http://eu.gran-turismo.com/nz/news/d4967.html

If you watch the 2009 E3 trailer between 1:41 - 1:45 it looks very much like an airport runway. This could be Dunsfold Park but not on the test track itself. Maybe a speed test/drag strip. It definitly doesn't look like Le Mans even though it has two LM race cars on it.

If this has been mentioned before I apoligise. Couldn't find it.

Definitely looks like it, but, (This is new to me) I noticed the time, It wasn't necessarily "Night" but more like "Evening", we know that night racing will be included, but maybe we can have an evening type setting (Inform me, If its outdated)
It doesn't look like they would put a 24hr race on the top gear test track either, so it couldn't have been a dynamic time switch.

It looks like the rest of the video which has a dark and dramatic look to it.

could be, but there are lights on the runway (that are on), so Im sure that its not day time..
Maybe the "Night" feature in gran turismo wont be as dark as we (or atleast I) think it will be, That "Evening" or "Sunset" time could just be the night time. Just so people don't have too much trouble trying to stay on the track..

They're also green and red and look to be floating in mid air. Doesn't mean much.

The Citreon car trailer was the first to show night/dusk racing.
It had brief moments of two cars racing around London in the dark.

Well no news about GT5 in first episode of new series, maybe next week
I was hoping for that too, yesterday evening. But it is more likely that we will have to wait until the full game is either shown (at GamesCon?) or released. Then the lads from TopGear can show more from the game in all its glory.

I wonder whats in store for us regarding the TGTT, some sort of challenges i hope.

Now, for something I never dreamed I would be saying.........

I do hope this will make it into GT5.

To hopefully be accompanied by a Chevy Lacetti and Suzuki Liana.

Times setup by top gear cars will be included. I know they will not have Porsche but what about reaming cars. Top50 or so time set by top gear cars which have lots of supercars are going to be there ?

It amazes me how they keep picking cars that were deemed as CRAPPY by the magazine itself as the Reasonably Priced Car.

That's the whole point, a "reasonably prized car" is just a joking title as the last thing Top Gear does is anything which can be deemed as sensible.
If you don't get that I wonder whether you'll even get the rest of the show in the way it's intended...........

Well, they can't say "and now in our very cheap korean/american, awful, terrible to drive lump of sheetmetal and excrament". They have to say it nicely.

I'd be interested to see if you could get a photocopy of the Kia Cee'd review in Top Gear magazine where they deem it 'CRAPPY' as on their website it gets a very reasonable 11/20.

55% is reasonable?
