I might give this VW tune a go here in the near future, but actually stopped to post just to say what an fantastic format you have there, particularly this new one, everything's easy to see, not just a plain list up and down, looks great, just fabulous work there.
If I were trying to post a tune with cool graphic design, I would copy you. :D

Haha thanks man. I did not design the sheet though Its designed by Jake, I added the photo and inverted the colours of the sheet to match the photo, thats all. Glad you like it anyway will probably keep this layout from now on.

Tuner Comments
Not quite sure how this tune compares to others as im not the best drifter, so testing for me was not that easy. Feedback is appreciated and probably needed, but hope you enjoy!

Updated:26/06/11
Longer Gear Ratio's
New Suspension Settings
New LSD Settings
Increased Front Brake Balance

OK you sent me this and I tested it so I mine as well do a review lol. First of all your transmission settings are impossible. The numbers don't come close to what you list. It does drift, but it's still too stable and I'm sure if you put racing slicks on it the car would race fine, maybe just a bit over steer. A rule for drift is for 99% of drift cars all that really matters is the front suspension is stiff and there is a decent amount of negative front toe. Even tho the cars are rear wheeled drive you have to pretend your tuning a front wheeled drive car since the front does all the work with drift and the back is pretty much just pushing it around corners. In the end drift is more of a personal style, but I feel you can make it even better. I did try and do my own tune for this and it's a very difficult car in general to tune.

REVIEW OF THE VW GOLF I GTI '76 TUNED BY J'S TUNING GARAGE:

Bfore:
First off I just got a new wheel so I haven't had to much time to test cars and do reviews considering i'm trying to get used to the wheel but anyways, here goes. This car had loads of understeer without a doubt because it's from the 70's and it's a FF VW. The Golf was also lacking a good transmission setup along with horsepower but I had trust in Jack to fix these problems.

After:
The Golf handled much better throughout the corners with a good entry and exit speed without a doubt and of course the transmission setup was fixed to utilize the cars ridiculous horsepower on almost ever short to medium sized track. :sly:

Final Thoughts:
The car made a huge improvement from being stock to being tuned by Jack without a doubt, it handled a lot better in the corners with most of the understeer eliminated! Great tune once again Jack and I will soon try out your RM Golf along with a review to accompany it. 👍

Edit: Sorry for the short and puny review but like I said I just got my G27 and I also forgot to mention that this car is bound to be a monster in the 400PP range. :)

No worries mate, glad that my DS3 tune's are working for your G27. If you can think of any more cars you would like to see a tune for, let me know. (I'm running out of Ideas)

And I will try sort out gear ratio's I know the problem and will sort it ASAP!

Thanks 👍

REVIEW OF THE GOLF GTI IV RM '01 TUNED BY J'S TUNING:

Before:
I did RM the Golf along with all the upgrades as Jack suggested to get an idea of what the car handled like before the setup for an accurate representation. I think because I did race modified the car it handled a little better than before being non race modified but there was still much room for improvement with not so good handling all around with a lot of understeer which was expected being that it's a FF car, wheel spin when exiting the corners, and a transmission setup that needed a bit of work to better utilize the GTI's power.

After:
The first thing I noticed which is what I notice with most tunes is the transmission setup which felt a lot better with the car, the only complaint I have is the low engine sound with no real distinctive high RPM roar letting you know that it's about time to switch gears but this has nothing to do with J's actual transmission setup, just a drawback from the good setup. The wheel spin did seem to be fixed for the most part but I still noticed a tad bit when exiting the corner but then again what can you expect from a FF car with a lot of power? The Golf was distinctively more smooth when entering, throughout, and exiting the corner which in turn of course made the lap times look a lot better than before, all in all the handling was much improved.

Final Thoughts:
This GTI is defiantly one of the most fun RM'd cars to drive IMO and Jack made it even better without a doubt. This car can more than likely run with some cars that you wouldn't expect a Golf to, I ran a 1:29:197 on Trial Mountain Circuit with an H shifter and there is still room for improvement on that time considering I only did about 10 hot laps. Good tune once again man, keep it up! 👍

Thanks for review mate.. The new transmission settings I posted, did you try them yet? I didn't notice the low engine sound but maybe I could sort it with a better transmission setup. Also this car was only tested on the Nurburgring so I don't know if it is any good anywhere else.

Really really nice RX-7 lol. Also can you single post it ^_^ to the rx-7 thread. Would really appreciate it.
I like how the braking works. Cause I'm a terrible braker when it comes to racing XD.

Yeah the new transmission setup worked find it's just the VW has a low engine sound which sometimes makes it hard to know when to shift but nothing you can fix. It also does work very well on other tracks IMO. 👍

I was also thinking about a tune for the Caterham Fireblade 7, maybe a fully tuned one with race tires just for fun or something like that?

I also have another RX-7 in the pipework @ 500pp, not ready yet though.

Everyone's a winner then. And yep will have a go at the Fireblade, thinking about it I think I may have a set up on it already. But yesterday whilst tuning I am happy to say I think i went to the next level in tuning. Learned a few new things, so my tunes from now on should be even better :D

Damn Jack I haven't been around for a minute but I'll be sure and give a few of these tunes a go.

If you didn't know I decided to start GT5 over again and start fresh so I did loose quite a few of your tuning setups man but I will start fresh with some of your newer ones. 👍

What made you start GT again? And I will be going over all my tunes before I release anymore I think, starting from 1st page onwards. Some tunes may get an increase in pp, and they will all be tested online.

I didn't really respect the game or have much desire to play it so I decided to start fresh and wipe out my old save.

That sounds goooood! 👍

Hey Jack, are you able to put a legend on which cars are actually tuned on sports hard tyres? so it's easier for people to pick up some Touge tunes. Thanks!

Yo,, erm yeah I can try although the majority of tunes for touge will be at 500pp and a few others that are less. I am meaning to refurbish my first page so when I do I will make sure to add a legend. First though I am going over all my tunes, page 1 is complete, just need to rewrite the s15 setup. And I into two setups from page two.

Also I think what you mentioned in that PM is a great idea, and I will do my best to support it, but you may have to guide me a bit haha

Hey Jack (can I call you that ), you received my PM right? Can you take a car off my hands for a quick tweak while my other car is getting done up? You know the drill, 500PP, sport hard tyres, make it quick  :D
