I was testing earlier at Tokyo for the upcoming third race and felt compelled to take a few photos of the city.

It's not a Toyota but I'm sure gk will like this;

*Toyota facts of the day.
Toyota cars in Project Cars: (PS4) 0
Toyota cars in DriveClub: 0

amazing
:guilty:

👍 <----- my sign

I loved every part of your post JP:cheers:
We should try some Freshness Burgers tonite when I get home

I'd had a wander around there with my camera awhile ago.
Great photos as usual, Paul. I like that house with the bicycle parked beside it.
Is it still there today I wonder. (@gkgamer)?
PD rendered the track for GT5 if I'm not mistaken so the house might not be there anymore.
I can just imagine you have an extensive GT photo archive at home. Something like this perhaps? :)

Drivers reading / participating in this championship, I'm sure you like Toyota and/or Japan
as I do and therefore I would like to promote our very own Japanese driver's (and current fourth placed
driver in the championship) Silvia tribute mini-series
It's an event that @gkgamer is holding in the Single Races & Time Trials forum.
I'll let gk tell about the details himself but I believe it's this Sunday and the more drivers
on the grid the better.

if there's enough people who miss or get dc'd from the Tuesday
race there should be another race some other day and they can be scored behind the people who finished the Tuesday one
Jock I'm I'm going to try 1 more time to do A race
As long as a driver makes it into qualifying he will receive points even if he should disconnect, in the order of who left first.
With it soon being halfway into the season I don't know how to change the schedule for additional races for DC:ers or non-
participants. My own time has also become a bit reduced starting with this week and onwards.

All we can do is hope for the best. The lobby will still be set up with voice chat's disabled, visible damage off and room quality
the recommended 4/5 stars. In a perfect world it should be enough to avoid disconnections but it is how it is.
I've been evaluating / experimenting with fixed host and it feels risky, possible scenario is we all disconnect and the race gets cancelled and
re-scheduled. Hoping to avoid that.

#3
Toyota WRC 14/04/2015
Tokyo R246

Celica GT-Four Rally Car (ST205) '95 only.
No time progression.
Race duration is 40 minutes.
Damage is Heavy (be careful out there). Tyre / Fuel is Normal.
Minimum pit stops: 0 (meaning you don't have to if you don't wish it).

*Lobby will be opened well in advance. I will not announce it open so everyone can just drop in
one by one when they're ready. This makes the room more stable.
Qualifying is set for 20:10 GMT.
Race starts immediately after at 20:20 GMT.

With the knowledge gathered from our first Tuesday together there will be no re-start of the race/qualifying.
It is quite impossible to get everybody together again in a new lobby. The Australian TCC experienced this
as well, just as we unfortunately had to do before.
Hoping for the best. Thanks.
If I should disconnect please save the results / replays. :)

Bye for now..
ps I'm very eager for the next one at Le Mans.

NEWS OF THE WORLD :scared:

PTK_68 should come back to the Toyota Championship, today at Tokyo R246! :odd:

It should be a shame to leave this great, exceptionally and such addictive event for any reason whatever it should be and so, missing some epic battles with so nice fellows!!!

Just wishing: "NO BLOWN ENGINE AGAIN!!!!!!!!" :irked: :yuck:

Looking forward to meet you all again guys! :D

Thanks a lot Jocke and Paul for your kind support!

...and room quality
the recommended 4/5 stars.
💡 To help those with a slightly slower connection and to maybe make things a bit more stable, it might be worth dropping the slider down one notch from the recommended setting. Three stars maybe. It shouldn't make much (if any) difference to the actual racing.

Minimum pit stops: 0 (meaning you don't have to if you don't wish it).
I don't wish to but those barriers are very close, so I might have to!

Apparently if you rejoin and no one can see you, the cure is leaving, clearing your cache and coming back. Apparently. It worked the other day when I was doing a one make race.

Yes cleaning the network cache does seem to help. But the important thing is if people are experiencing problems is to exit back to the main menu before trying to rejoin the room. Therefore disconnecting from the GT6 network server and then reconnecting. Trying to rejoin without doing this tends to "break" the room and it doesn't get better - it usually has to be remade.

So exit to main menu, clean cache (options/network settings) and then try to rejoin. I'm not saying this will fix everything because there are far too many online problems, but it does seem to help - sometimes! :boggled:

PD's servers has been updated today might be better now. We'll see...
I didn't know that.

That's great, Gav.
I couldn't quite make out what it was earlier today on the phone, but I'm on the PC now and can see it much better.

Just wishing: "NO BLOWN ENGINE AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Patrick, if you disconnect you can take that bicycle and finish the race. :)
But seriously, I know how hard it hits you to disconnect so I hope you will be alright today.

it might be worth dropping the slider down one notch from the recommended setting.
Yes. I checked with the manual;

"Race Quality
This setting governs the frequency with which driving information is sent and received over the network when racing online.
The game automatically detects players' connection speeds, and automatically selects a race quality setting accordingly.
It is normally safest to use the recommended setting, but if your connection is dropping during online races, you may want
to try reducing the race quality."

I thought initially that the graphics become less clear when dropping the slider.
But maybe that's not the case?

I will try with 3/5.

Everyone needs to remember this. :)
Thank you Paul.

Oh and one more thing Jocke which I think has been mentioned before. Consider reducing the number of players allowed in the room. I know this is tricky since you don't quite know how many to expect. But if you suspect the room is not going to be full dropping the player numbers reduces the amount of connections that have to be kept open - even though they may not be used. Again helping those with a weaker internet.

Maybe somewhere around 12-13-14?

That's my tips for today. :)
Well I suppose another one would be to go and update GT6 now in time for the race. Which I shall now go and do.
